Taylormade Burner
I joined a club that has a lot of uphill fairways and I realized I needed more air time. My regular driver is a 9.5 R7, so I bought a Taylormade 10.5 burner. I got an extra 20 yards, all in the air. |

Burner, 9.5, stiff
I am 62 years old with an average game for someone my age. Sometimes in the mid to high 70's but usually in the low 80's. My average drives are fades from right to left edge of fairway, or sometimes a light draw. 250-260 yd distance. This is with my R540. First time using this awesome driver I was killing the ball, with the most beautiful draw to the center and 275 or better each time (several were so close to the green it was scarey). My buddies are all 61-65 and usually down the middle 225-250. I think they are ready to step uo to Taylormade. |

Taylor Made Burner 9.5
I did not need a driver. I have the Cobra F speed 460 and a Callaway Tour X and like them both. Bought the TM Burner for 140 bucks brand new, took straight to the course to play 9 holes. Used it 3 times. Took off the plastic, one practice swing and let it rip. Result: 275 yards in the middle of the fairway. Second time I swung a little faster and hooked it left. 3rd time, smooth swing 285 yards. Easy club to hit. Looking foward to my next round.Stock REAX shaft seems a great fit. High Soft Draw. TaylorMade Burner Draw 9.5 Stiff
I would describe myself as a typical golf fanatic that has tried alot of different equipment. The bottom line with the Burner is that the added distance comes from the longer shaft. I had to hit alot of balls with different ball positions and different set-ups before I found the best for my swing. If you try to kill the ball, you will have trouble with this club. If you will swing with control and make good contact, the ball seems to fly high but straight. I don't get alot of extra yardage per drive but on a given swing have added 20 yards or so to the norm. The best feature is consistant drives in the fairway. Most golfers who will take the time to fine-rune their swing, will love this Driver and put the ball in great position for second shots. Now that TaylorMade had dropped the price, you can get these at great prices. Definately worth it! Customer Service Had a shaft replaced on a V Steel and it was good as new. Tour Burner 9.5 Stiff
I had the 460cc Burner in a 9.5 Stiff. Loved and hated it at the same time. I hit straight as an arrow looked long and then was disappointed that it only went 240 yards. Considering I was hitting the sweetspot and I measure 98 mph on swing speed I was puzzled. Trajectory was a tad low. With this driver, I get the same trajectory but now it's 35 yds longer. I'm thinking it might be the shaft. But either way, now I'm just flat HAPPY! Customer Service Used Taylor Made Customer service in the past. Tour Burner 9,5 Stiff Flex
I had the 2007 Burner, and recently picked up an 08 Tour Burner. Both are excellent drivers. I do find that the Tour Burner feels lighter to swing, despite the 60 gm shaft, and sets up a little nicer. I also find the Tour burner is about 10-15 yards longer, and about equally forgiving. Both are great drivers, but I prefer the Tour Burner. Customer Service I haven't had to use it, I get my service at Golf Town, but haven't had to use it on the Burners. Taylormade Burner 9.5 Stiff
Just got this driver to fill in for my superquad while it is in for repair (Stress fracture). First day on the range was tough and I questioned my purchase. Was hitting a high power fade. Plenty of distance but I just did not feel comfortable with the ball flight. I normally play a draw.

burner draw 10.5 * , reg shaft
After being away from golf for 8 years i decided to get back to it. Been back playing now for 2 months. My driving has been letting me down badly always fading or badly slicing, got to a stage were the rest of my game was starting to suffer through lack of confidence .After reading the reviews about the burner draw i decided to try it out. Being a naturally sceptical person i didn't honestly believe all the claims made by the company but boy was i wrong. This club has instantly shaved 11 shots off my score was shooting in the 100s and now in the low 90s.Where you point the club thats where the ball goes and with plenty of height and distance.I am averaging at least 250 yds and all are straight with no effort at all,the easier you swing the club the better it goes.I would highly recomend this club to any mid to high handicappers with a fade or slice problem. |
