The Taylor Made 300 Ti driver launches the ball some incredible distances with screamingly low trajectories. It allows you put movement into the ball flight, but is also forgiving enough for and intermediate player's use. I am a first year golfer that ususally shoots in the 90's and occasionally drop into the high 80's. I have a complete set of Knight Venom clubs. The Venom driver is probably about 250cc w/a 44" shaft, so the 300cc of the Taylor Made and the 45" shaft took a little bit of adjustment. I got this particular model because it was on sale for 70% off retail value. I know this isn't the best reason for getting a club but anything would be an improvement over the Knight. The first time I hit this driver I was amazed by how far the balls would fly. I was consistently carrying the ball 10-20 yards further, and because of the low trajectory there is good roll. The first time I played with this club did not turn out well. I was not adjusted to the different feel and could not control my drives. I was hitting the ball differently with every swing and had trouble making good contact. After playing a few more rounds and taking quite a few swings at the range, I have found that I can consistently drive the ball 30+ yds further than before. I am now hitting my tee shots around 250-260 compared to the 220-230 that I was hitting before. The one main disadvantage I found was the spin the this club could put on the ball. If you take a bad swing you can see a large downward hook. This happened to me mostly when I tried to overhit the ball. The driver is quite forgiving on off-center hits, though. I think that this is a great club that will help my game progress as I play more and get better (hopefully). This club is for someone with a consistent swing that will make good contact with the ball every time. If you are an experienced golfer that wants to shape your shots, and see long drives this club will perform to your liking.

Picked up this driver after trying all three in the Taylor Made 300 series. Liked all three but not the giant heads of the 320 and 360. They also seemed to hit a little left for me. Played with the S-90 shaft for one month. After doing so I recommend dumping the $2 Taylor Made S-90 immediately and put something real in this thing. The Graffaloy Pro-Lite and Proforce 65 are good choices if you like the original weight of the club. Went with the Proforce because I've been using them for a couple of years now. Amazing difference after the upgrade. Just about any handicap golfer should notice a tighter shot pattern and find it easier to hit the sweet spot with more consistency. I also picked up 10-15yds over the GBB I used to use when hitting a draw and at least 15 on fade shots. The 975J is a nice club also but not worth the extra $150 to $200 to me.

Absolutely the longest, most satisfying driver I have ever hit. Had just bought the Ping Tec Driver 8.5 w/ Grafalloy shaft Was a very nice Driver. Then my friend let me hit his 540 Taylor Made. Now I am not a Taylor Made Driver guy, love their fairway woods not their Drivers, Couldn't hit the 320 or the 360 so I gave this 540 a try. All I can say is WOW!! I have hit my longest drive with this club. So Forgiving, even more than my Ping. I traded the Ping in that day for the 540 and let me say here it is definitely worth the dough. It is at least 20-25 yards longer than my Ping 8.5 Tec which is pretty long itself.

I tried out a friends 300ti 9.5* regular flex, with stock shaft. It was pretty awesome, The first shot I hit with it would have come close to being on the green 300yards away, had it not clipped a tree and deflected out of bounds. I thought to myself this could be interesting... On the next hole, up hill into a really strong wind I creamed it about 240 yards dead straight, which may not sound huge but into that wind was pretty amazing. Now that the club is as cheap as £190 (even cheaper in the US) I will buy the club as soon as possible but probably with a stiff shaft because it did seem a bit wippy. I will update the review when I have one of my own and have played a full round with it

this club blows!!, ive had it a year now...i think my hatred for this club is directed more towards the shaft that came w/ it, the s-90 lite, too flimsy and i hardly hit the fairway..its not my swing because im missing both left and right and this is the only club im not hitting straight when i want to, i like the new 975 j's a ton better

Used to shoot 80s, as junior golfer 70s, now dont play enough cause of night school and work. So bought a 975 D on sale same price hit about 10. 4 were nice flight straight. But I traded it in for a 360 10.5 regular Taylor Made. Couldn't hit it at first, but just took it out to the range and started creaming it straight and long. I found you need to swing flatter and with a good tempo but definitely a success.

A great driver. Highly recommended to any of those who want to hit it long and straight, and don''t need a compromise club. I liked the much more conservative size versus the 320 and 360, and I don''t feel like I''m making any sacrifices on distance. I''m hitting at least 15-20 yeards farther than I was with my old Taylor Made driver, and with much more accuracy. Truly a great club, and at the current sale prices, I couldn''t pass it up.

Model Reviewed: 300Ti 8.5 Degree S90 Shaft

I have been trying many drivers with acceptable success (Orlimar HipTi, Zero Tolerance Spectra, Taylor Made 200 Steel, along with many others. For some reason, the Taylor Made 300Ti, 8.5 degree, S90 driver really fits my swing. I can hit it fairly straight, fade it, and even draw it a bit, all with great trajectory, and the best distance I have experienced with any driver. For me, this club works very well. You can find this club for $200 including free shipping at a number of internet golf equipment sites. I suggest trying out different lofts and shafts before you buy. Good luck, and thanks to Taylor Made for a great product.

Customer Service

I had a chance to communicate with Taylor Made about my shaft and loft choices. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and gave me very sound advice.
