Let's just put it this way: at the beginning of Spring, I was an 18 handicap. Now I'm a 12 and it's not because I'm putting a lot better. These drivers aren't as long as the big Ti drivers, but playing from the fairway will lower your scores faster than hitting it "300 yards" into the woods. Customer Service Haven't used 'em. TM 200 steel, Rflex steel shaft,9.5
This club is simply amazing. I've been playing with graphite shafts with titanium heads for years now under the assumption that it was better do to newer technology. Boy was I wrong. I tried to club at the indoor range with a computer estimating the trajectory and club speed. I compared it to the 420r TM club. The steel hit consitent drives which overlapped each other. The feel was simply amazing. The 420r i was hitting the same distance but higher and with less consistency. Since I bought the driver I have used it for 54 holes and have done so well that I have considered buying a couple extra in case something ever happens to this one. My drives are anywhere from 230-300 now. Even miss hit shots are great. With graphite & ti my drives were from 210-280, but not consitent. Interestingly, my swing speed with the graphite ti was 96mph requiring stiff, while with the steel it was 93mph and the regular flex works great. I've never broken 80 before until yesterday when I shot a 76. I love this driver. I also had just switched to titleist ovesized irons too. I would not hesitate to buy this club, it is simply the best driver ever!!!!!!!!!! Taylor Made 200 driver 9.5
This is the best driver I've ever owned. I've hit the Taylor Made Firesole, Callaway Warbird, Hippo Giant, King Cobra gravity back, and many others. None compare to this bad boy. The forgiveness is unbelievable and distance is there. It's as long as all of the other drivers except for the Cleveland Launcher. Get an extra 25 yards on the roll. Unbelievable roll with this club, more than any other I've owned. I would highly recommend you pick one up off of Ebay. |

The strength of my game is driving, and this club has helped me get there. It's a little heavier, as it's steel, but that can help you control it a little bit more, as well as the 45" shaft (I use stiff graphite,9.5°). But that's not to say that this isn't a long driver!! I can hit long, long drives that soar high and still roll a mile. I've hit the ball 314 once(I paced it out). By the way, I'm 14. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Percision II |

200 Steel 10.5 driver R80 Rifle
I bought the graphite shafted version of this driver last year and immediately felt that I had finally ALMOST found the right driver. After several months of play, I came to realize that what I didn't like about it was the stock graphite shaft. In fact, I don't think I like graphite shafts AT ALL. I have been playing with the corresponding 3 & 5 woods with the Rifle shaft and liked their feel and weight. Found the matching Rifle-shafted driver on eBay. It feels like a real golf club to me, unlike the lightweight graphite ones I have been trying to use for years. I can feel where the head is for the first time in years, get great feedback at impact, and the club just seems to swing naturally. Unlike some other posters, I haven't lost distance with the steel shaft, in fact I think I've GAINED distance. Yesterday I was closer to one of our par 5's in two shots than I have ever been by 30 yards - just 20 yards short of the green. I'm hitting far more fairways. Steel shafts are where it's at! And this driver should be better known than it is. Scores are dropping soon! Customer Service No experience. Taylor Made 200 Series Steel Driver
This club is downright amazing, not even considering how inexpensive it is. I got the 10.5 degree with a strong shaft and love everything about it. The club looks great at adress, is not so big it feels like a tennis racket, and makes a sweet sound when you hit it. I used to use a big bertha warbird, and never ever hit the ball over 240 yards, and ALWAYS had a slice. I have now had the 200 series driver for 3 weeks, and have regularly bomb my drives over 275. This is a huge improvement over any other club i have hit, especially the ones that costs around $100. The club wont fix all your hooks and slices, but is very forgiving. My drives are much straighter now, and my mistakes are minimized. I let a friend and my dad try this club off the tee a few times, and both of them went out and bought one within a week. I thought that was pretty amazing, considering they were playing Callaway and Cleveland drivers. Overall, you really can not go wrong with this club at such a low price. I am even considering swtiching all my fairway woods over the Taylor made because this club has been so amazing. Hurry and get one, Taylor Made discontinued this model this year. THIS IS THE BEST DRIVER AT THE BEST PRICE. Customer Service No experience, hope i never have to use it. Taylor Made Steel R90 9.5* 200 Series
Bought this because it was on sale and it's true folks. Best Driver I have ever owned. Great feel and very forgiving. Hit my first 300 yard drive and it's no telling how far it would have gone had it not come to rest on some rocks. Had been using the Callaway Warbird and not only is the Taylor Made a lot more straighter it is 15 - 20 yards longer. Nice sound, and not as loud as some had mentioned here. When struck right it produces a beautiful rainbow trajectory that produces alot of roll. For the best bang for the buck I would highly recommend this club for anyone who wants to hit the ball more consistently, with an emphasis from playing from the fairways. A real winner by Taylor made. Customer Service Not used. Similar Products Used: Callaway Warbird, Adams Tight Lies. |

TM 200 Steel Driver 12* X-Stiff
I've played a couple years, but I still consider myself a beginner because I really didn't get serious about the sport until about three months ago (which is about when I started taking lessons). I like the TM R540 and Cleveland Launcher, but at my current skill level, I want to get comfortable and consistent hitting a driver before splurging. My swing is relatively fast which made me turn to the stiffer shaft and I liked the 12* which helps in giving me a better chance of getting the ball up in the air. The 12* doesn't give me the longest drives, but the 12*/x-stiff shaft combo allows me to be very consistent and accurate. After practicing with this driver at the range for about three days, I took it out to Torrey Pines North and proceeded to nail 10 of the 13 fairways on holes that I used it on! When I missed the fairway, the ball still ended up with very playable lies. Distance was around 225 to 250 yards. I agree with VVM3's review stating this is the best bang for the buck driver out there. For a person just learning the game, the TM 200 is the ideal driver. It will help keep you of trouble, increase your confidence, and make learning the game that much more enjoyable! Customer Service No complaints. Similar Products Used: TM 300 Ti. Don't own, but tried TM R540, Ping TiSI, and Cleveland Launcher. |
