This may be a good driver for some, but for me it was awful. I'm a 6 handicap, and average between 230 and 240 with my G5. I tried the Rapture 10.5 degree with a stiff flex TFC 909D shaft, and was lucky to get anything over 210 yards. For me this club produced sky high drives with minimal carry. It was nearly impossible to work a draw, and that's virtually never the case with a 10.5 degree loft. I can't imagine anyone hitting this club better than they would hit a G5, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, for me the Rapture was more of a rupture.

I don't usually write reviews for golf products but after reading the a couple of the other reviews I felt the need. I also bought the rapture with a VS Proto shaft stiff, 9 deg loft and I see the same awesome results. The distance is great, and the ball flight is a natural draw, which does instill confidence standing over a tee shot. It's an expensive club, but worth it. It comes with several shaft options, so hit them all, I went with the Aldila VS Proto, I have it on my Rapture 5 and my G5 3, it's a great shaft, and a great golf club.

I tested the Titleist 907D2 as well. The same shaft as my rapture, but about 1/2 inch shorter (out of the box). I hit the Rapture much better!

I've been playing golf for over 25 years now (and I'm just 35) and never bought a really good driver since I was playing pretty good golf even If I didn't have the latest golf fad in my bag (and the money in my pants to buy them). I got this Ping driver as a present...and what a present it's been! I can honestly say that I got at least 30 more yards on average with the Rapture. I have a high launch with this driver with a nice little fade that I absolutely love. This club may need some adjustment on your part (I was used to "normal" sized driver heads with little or no technology...), the adjustment took a couple of games and driving range sessions. I just came bake from the driving range and I can't believe how far I can hit this driver with so much ease....incredible. Buy it!

I bought this club because I got a heck of a deal on ebay. The only problem is that I had to try and sell myself on it every time i used it. I'm sure it is not a bad club but i naturally hit the ball very high with the driver, and this club also hits the ball higher than most drivers. Therefore, there was a problem as every shot i hit was way too high. I think it would be a good club for someone trying to heighten there ball flight, but it is not very good at all if you already hit the ball high. The distance was average for me, the feel at impact was nice, but it just wasn't the club for me. Needless to say I traded it straight across for a Taylor Made Burner and now I am as happy as can be.

I have this club with the Aldila NV stiff shaft. I've used it for the first half of this summer - it has very good distance, but my control is poor. I took my Cleveland 460 Launcher out of the closet last week (the club I used last year), and had much better success with it. Overall, my driving was quite a bit better last year than this, so I'm going back to the Cleveland driver. Sometimes newer isn't necessarily better.

I had tried out the Callaway FT1 driver and was very disappointed. Ten I tried the Ping and wow what a great club. You can easily draw the ball. Also superior in distance over ft1 with a terrific feel and sound.

I bought this the 1st day they were out at Golf Galaxy. I had the Aldila proto shaft and really didn't care for it to much. I sold it on ebay. A few months later I tried one with the stack shaft and liked it so I got one on ebay cheap. It ended up being a fake and the seller took it back. I ordered another one on ebay and that one was also a fake. I gave up that and just stuck with my G5. I have also owned 11 different drivers since then including: Sumo 2 square, FTI, FTI tour, Superquad, Superquad TP and a few others. I went to Golf Galaxy the other day and they had a used Rapture with an Aldila NVS stiff shaft in great shape for $250. All I can say is this combo is fantastic for me. I'm about 10 yards longer and straighter then all the other clubs I listed. It feels, looks, sounds and performs great.

i just got this driver today and on the first hole i hit it not taking a practice swing...
i hit it good and it sliced into the houses though... after i got used to the sound things started going a lot better. i was averaging a drive of 270 and hit one as long as 312 right in the middle of the fairway.. if you have enough money to buy this driver do it.. it is a good investment

Got this driver from friend of mine, we just trade my Callaway and his Rapture. All I can say that I can hit pretty straight and long too with this baby, I guess about 250 meters (about 270 yards). What can I say...I'm just a lucky guy... !
The only downside of this driver is that for USD 400+ they don't provide much of a choice for the shaft. I guess I have to put some more USD 80 to fit it with UST Proforce V2 75-S. I just can't wait to see the result !!!
