Great driver. I have used this driver for two years now. It has an aldila nvs shaft. I regularly hit the ball in the 300 yard range, sometimes going 320-330 yds depending on course conditions. Have no problem working a draw or fade.

This Driver is Mojo magic for me! Have you ever heard of getting the perfect club? Well this is the perfect club for me, but I won’t say it is perfect for everybody; my friend that golf’s with me says it’s okay.
I am not a long driver by no means, but I hit my longest (280y) and straightest drives consistently with this club. It shocked me the first time I used it; I couldn’t believe it, one shot after another was straight and long down the fairway.
I talked to the owner of the golf shop I go to and he told me that it is the Adila 65 NVS shaft that is driving this thing. He let me use a G2 Demo with a different shaft and I hit like crap. So if you are looking for a G2 I would recommend the Adila shaft definitely!
I will use this club for a long time; it will take a lot to get it out of my hand even with the new technology that has been coming out.
This bad boy is worht the money at 300 dollars, but I think you can get it on ebay used for about half the price.

Very nice driver. Not really much longer than other drivers I've owned, but when you get it just right it's long and accurate. Easy to lose confidence with as it is not as forgiving as Cobra or TaylorMade. Warm up with my old Steelhead and use it for the first 2-3 drives before I bust out this big head.

High and long and straight. I emphasise 'straight'. It's not the most workable club, but is that really a bad thing? PLayin off 14, and I can't complain. Thats it! Hope I've been helpful.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 10* driver, Stiff stock shaft

I resisted the notion of high launch/more carry for a few years. I guess it was just too counterintuitive for my liking.

This driver changed everything. With this 10 degree driver and my 102 mph swing, I can launch the ball really really high, but not so high that the backspin compromises distance. I have definitely noticed an increase in distance by at least 10-15 yards.

Ping has never stood out in the driver market, but the G2 (if you can still find it) deserves a shot (pun intended).

Customer Service

Never used it, but I've heard Ping CS is great.

For me, it is the best I've ever hit. 10* with R flex Graffalloy Prolaunch Blue 65 shaft. Swing speed 95-98. Perfect trajectory and very straight. I was using a 10.5* R5 DualD with Aldilla NV reg and hit everything too high. Not with the G2/Prolaunch. Very pleasant feedback with sound and feel; you can really tell when you hit it right on the sweetspot and it really goes deep on those! I have used this club for two months and dropped 4 shots off of average score, it's that good in my hands. Many more short irons from good spots and successful birdie opportunities. Really like the Prolaunch Blue 65 shaft, too. For me, it is the perfect trajectory. The importance of the proper shaft and flex for the individual golfer cannot be overemphasized.

Customer Service

N/A but past experience with Ping is excellent.

Simply put the ping g2 is the best driver I have ever used , it is long & straight, VERY forgiving, well made & very pleasing on the eye.
I have the 10 degree with the aldila nv stiff flex, my swing speed is in the mid to high 90 mph so I (like a lot of other golfers )am in no mans land between stiff & reg,I have owened this club for about a year now & i play every week on a links course( secret harbour)so acuracy in windy conditions is paramount.
A lot of people were telling me that the stiff shaft was to stiff, more like an extra stiff, alot of reviews said the same so I decided to reshaft with another aldila nv but the regular flex, & after a couple of months of using it I can tell you that the ball didn't go any further just higher without any extra carry & less roll, also the accracy suffered a little as well.
So luckily I kept the stiff shaft and had it re fitted by a good club fitter who spine alligned it for me , & what a difference!, I could'nt believe it was the same club, it was a little longer even straighter ,& the ball flight was just perfect & didnt feel as stiff, Also I got him to test the flex of the stiff shaft & he said it was a true stiff.
A couple of months ago I bought a launcher comp 460 & it is a good club but it had the stock fuji shaft in it ,& reg shaft being only 55 g felt to light , I felt like I was swating the club rather than swinging it, but to be fair it would have been better with the nv green 65, club face was a little closed compared to the G2, so it is back on ebay.
I feel the G2 will become a bit of a classic in time, & can be picked up pretty reasonably now on ebay, remember the shaft is the engine & in my opinion the nv is a Rolls Royce.
Good luck.

Customer Service

Never used , this club is top notch.

I love this driver. I was using a pretty nonname driver before then I tested this one out at the range. First shot I bombed it and straight! The sound is LOUD and the club weighs next to nothing. For once I can say that my driver is my go to club. Great buy.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 8.5 Driver with NVS 65X

I just bought used G2 NVS65x from Ebay and didn't expect much but whatta surprise!!!!!
I have few drivers include Titleist 905T,983k, Mizuno MP001 and MX500, all with extra stiff shafts (fujikura and NV)
but the combination of G2 8.5 with NVS65X
is just awesome. Some reason I hit straigter with G2 than any other drivers. I am going to use G2 now on for a long time to come.
