Yesterday I was at a manufacturer demo and tried all the major brands. None matched the feel, distance and control of my MP 001.

Generally shoot mid to high 70's, and don't buy new clubs unless they straight up outperform. I've had a Mizuno T-Zoid 9 deg driver for about 3 years, have tried everything when they have come out. Pro at great golf shop told me to take the 001 demo out for a round. I hit the ball long, but not ungodly long, but this driver allows me to swing hard and not get in trouble. When I do, the shaft kicks perfectly and I'm averaging 30 more yards, also about 6 mph club head speed, to about 122. I tried taylor made, titleist, nike, and the new Ping G2 driver (I have the 3 wood), but none compared with the 001. The club may be for better players, but not only for great players. If you're looking at other clubs, look at this one also. Finally, we're late in the season, go look at demos, they'll give you a great deal, I got mine for $125.

Customer Service

Called them with iron set-up, and they're great. Also had a problem with my old driver and they took care of it within days.

Was going to buy the Cleveland Launcher 460 and took the Launcher out to the range to demo one last time. Noticed the Mizuno too and thought let's see how that new technology compares. I'm sure glad I did. The club is very long and with my Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue shaft I am hitting the ball far and more importantly hitting more fairways.

Customer Service

No need to use so far.

this driver is the most solid driver I have ever hit. distance is excellent LOOOOONG.......ball flight is not that high as you would think with a 10* loft. just wish I would have hit this a long time ago, instead of trading all the time. this club is in the bag to STAY!!!!

Model Reviewed: MP 001 10* NV65 Stiff

This club was not for me, maybe it was the NV shaft, not sure. Purchased after reading many previous reviewer's claims of tremendous improvement in distance after making the switch from Taylor Made. I did not have the same results. This is a good driver and I will admit the Mizuno was very easy to control, but I found the distance to be comparable to my Sonartec SS03 14 degree 3 wood (great club). I am sticking with the 9.5 degree Taylor R510, for me a good 15-20 yards longer and a more solid feeling club.

I started out with a Taylor Made R500 series driver and my gosh, this Mizuno blows everything out of the water. I have never been able to hit the ball straighter and farther in my whole life. I only hit the R500 around 300, but when i picked up the Mizuno, I was hitting around 330. This club gives me the confidence I lacked on the tee. Good Club.

Beautiful driver. This is a real sleeper. I'm surprised it's not more popular. I have the 9 degree MP-001 with the NV65 stiff shaft and I am very happy. I'm driving the ball longer and straighter than ever before.

Recently at the resort I stayed at I had a borrower set and it included the Mizuno MP001. I was shocked at how far and straight I was hitting the ball. I since purchased one and traded in the Taylor Made.
