Cobra SS427 9.0 degree stiff stock
This driver is great.....bought it today with no prior demo. I had read some reviews and talked to my dad about it. I took it to the range the night i bought it and i usually have an awful slice when i swing hard but with this i was hitting them straight with the occaisional head-lift duff. The deep face is excellent for no sky marks and making contact with the ball and its nearly impossible to miss the sweet spot. The sound of contact is ridiculously loud but well worth the results the driver makes. I recommend this driver to anyone looking for monsterous drives with less effort. The only turn off to the low handicap or scratch golfer would be the head size and from what i hear the 310, 350, and 380 are as awesome as the 427. Great product Cobra!!! Customer Service Excellent, sent email regarding miniature headcover and recieved conformation less than 2 hours later sayin they had one in the mail being sent to me. Have demo'd a three size 350 Tour, 380, and 427. All worked the same got the ball in the air and hit the same yardage. They didn't improve my distance over the older Biggest Big Bertha but were more forgiving because of the larger head. Decided on the 427 because of the larger sweetspot. Also tried the Cleveland Launcher, did nothing for my game for distance or control. Also tried the Taylor Made 580 which in my opinion lacked the consistancy and distance of the Cobra at a much higher price. Overall good club for the price. Customer Service Haven't used. This driver is simply fantastic. The sweet spot is so large you can not miss it! Very good return on your investment. The regular and longer shaft is really for the golfer with a slow swing speed (below 97 MPH). Similar Products Used: Callaway Steelhead Plus, Titleist 975D |

SS 427 10.5* R-flex UST stock shaft
Very long and very forgiving - and great stock UST ProForce shaft off the rack. Ballflight very high, lots of carry (forget low, boring trajectories unless you live in Texas or some other windy place - it's all about carry). Shaft long but supposedly designed for this headsize, so best not to fiddle around with it. Swing easy & smooth - the ball will go! Heel hits, toe hits - you still get 200+ out of it. Off-center hits have some feel but not much - this is a straight bomber's driver. Great TV ads with the long drivers, office guy, etc. Why doesn't Cobra have any tour players these days? Shame on you Hale Irwin for defecting to mass-produced Taylor Made! Customer Service Just sent an e-mail asking for bigger headcover - no response yet, but I can wait a little. Similar Products Used: GBB 2 (overpriced & still inconsistent - when is Callaway going to make a forgiving driver with a uniform face??) |

I have played with a number of drivers, most recently the Callaway ERCII. It was a long hitter, but not very forgiving. My friend offered to let me use his King Cobra. After two rounds I found the most forgiving driver I've ever hit. It has a gigantic sweet spot and will launch the ball almost as far as the ERC. Getting of the tee long and straight has me golfing in the low 80's as opposed to the high 80's. For me, it was a good buy! |

This is a great driver. 1) The impact is solid and clear when hitting the ball. 2) Distace is good... 20 yards different from my previous Nike 350 3)Forgiving is unbelievable... Misshot still have acceptable result 4)Great looking and nice sound (powerful sound) This is my opinion. I encourage you to at least give it a try in local shop if you want to choose a driver Customer Service N/a Similar Products Used: Nike 350, Taylor made 200 driver |

Cobra 427 Driver
It was hole number 12, 380yd par 4 straightaway, with pond on the right, running 3/4's along the length of the fairway. The last 3 times I teed off with a 5wood for conservative play and ended up in that pond. This time I decided to take the water out of play and pulled out the 427, but it went right, well right over the pond! 230 yard carry. Sometimes you've got to be agressive. The 427 is the real deal! Customer Service Outstanding, they replaced the small headcover within 1 week of my complaint. Similar Products Used: None. |

Terrific driver, best I ever owned and I've had just about everything. I play the 10.5 with stock reg graphite shaft and kill it. Can't miss the huge sweet spot. Drives typically 250+. Couldn't get over 230 with previous Callaways, Taylors, Titleists, you-name-it. Buy this stick, you won't be disappointed. Customer Service Great. Cobra sent me a new, bigger head cover due to original being too tight. Similar Products Used: Everything. |

Hands down the best driver I've ever played. Very loud at impact, but worth the headache. My game has a tendency to go south after the turn...but this driver seems to keep me in focus. I can't say enough good about the club. Customer Service E-mailed customer service about my headcover problems and received a new one w/in a week.
