Cobra 427SS
I was hitting the TM R580 10.5 with MAS graph shaft about 275 which took some time getting used to and hit the fairway about 65-70% of the time...then the USGA made me return it. While waiting for the conforming R580 I tried the TM 200 Steel Driver (love the 3-wood version), Cleveland Launcher and the Cobra 427SS. The first two didn't last more then a round. I've fallen in love with the Cobra 427SS with the UST Tour 60 Red stiff shaft. About 5-10yds less then the R580 but everything is right down the middle and goes up easily with no time needed to get used to it!!! A fair trade off...I would think so! For the first time in a long time I have good feel while swinging a graph shaft... Where has Cobra been? Customer Service Couldn't talk them into offering the UST Tour 60 Red for their fairway woods. But, helpful with other questions... Similar Products Used: TM 200 Steel, TM R580 & Cleveland Launcher |

Cobra SS 427cc 9 degree stiff
I have this summer off and I've been playing much more golf than I have for years and my game definitely has improved with the practice. My short game, that is. But I was still having trouble getting my drives in the fairway consistently. So I started looking for a new driver and finally got around to the Cobra. I went looking for the 350cc model, because I just thought that the 427cc was going to be way to big and unwieldly, like a VW bug on a stick. But since the demand has been so high, the only stiff shaft 9 degree that I could find was the 427cc. I almost didn't bother, but I am sure glad I did. It is forgiving, long, and very easy to swing. I have been shocked at how much better this club is to hit than my VFT which I've been using for the past 2 years. I've probably gained 10 - 15 yards on average with the larger sweetspot and around 3 - 4 more fairways with this club. It is loud, but I'll take the noise with the performance. Cobra did a nice job with the coloring and profile of this club to make it not appear too large and bulky. Overall, I can't be happier with this stick. Cobra 427cc
Had been using a Ping ISI-T 310cc. Purchased Cobra 427, 9 degree loft with stiff UST shaft after a friend of mine recommended it. Watched Hale Irwin use it in the senior open this year and was amazed at it's distance and draw abilities. No wonder any club with a COR of > .830 is illegal. This club with a COR of .828 launches the ball like a rocket and long. The 2 degree draw face is perfect for players that tend to slice or push their shots. The aesthetics of the club are something else. Would highly recommend. Local pro shops can't keep this puppy in stock (2 week wait). Had to resort to EBAY. |

I have a fast, upright swing with a high ball flight. In the past, I've gotten a great deal of carry (250-260 yards) and 4 feet of roll. Had a Ping ISI driver with Harrison shaft, the shaft helped but still had a control issue. Tried a number of combinations (Cobra, TMs, Callaway, etc). Hit and bought the 427. Other reviews are dead on - straight, straight, straight. But HIGH, HIGHER, HIGHEST ball flight. Couldn't stand the 2 feet of roll and the lowest loft available is 9 degrees. Fortunately 2nd Swing is a cooperative lot - traded it back in for a Titlest 975J with Speeder shaft. Bingo. This Cobra stick is a fine product to carry on the tradition of Cobra - just wasn't for me. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: TM360, Ping ISI, Titlest 975 |

Cobra SS 427cc 9deg Stiff UST ProForce 60 Shaft
I own TM 360 Ti 9.5deg stiff & Wilson Deep Red 365cc 12deg stiff drivers. TM is longer than Wilson, but Wilson is much more forgiving and accurate. For no good reason, apart from reading reviews, I decided I needed a new driver which gave me both accuracy and distance. I narrowed the choice down to TM R580 and Cobra SS 427. I managed to find a pro-shop associated with a driving range which keeps these, and they let me hit both of them. I couldn't tell the difference in distance, but I prefered Cobra 427 over TM 580. I thought the biggest difference was the shaft. UST ProForce shaft is awesome: very stable and solid, whereas the TM shaft felt even more whippy than the TM 360 shaft, which in my view is some what soft (certainly compared to my Wilson fatshaft). One thing I don't like about the Cobra is the noise: it sounds like a canon went off, but I am getting used to it. I finally got my driver a week ago. I have hit it on the driving range twice, and today I played my first round with it, on what is quite a tight course. I hit 8/10 fairways (the other two were playable). Clearly I can just have had a good round, but I love the confidence I have with this club. Distance wise I am definitely a little longer than the Wilson (hardly a surprise given the loft and the shaft length difference), but the accuracy was the surprise. I think these are definitely worth looking into. The sweetspot on this club is large. Customer Service No interaction so far Similar Products Used: TM 360, Wilson Deep Red 365cc |

Cobra 427cc
This is my first summer of golfing seriously. I originally bought Adams ST drivers and fairway woods but they had a 30 day return policy from Dicks and saw the review on these and returned my Adams drivers. I have a pretty bad slice in my drives and was hoping this club would help. I can drive the ball further and straighter but the slice is still there. I am taking lessons and my pro used this driver after I bought it and loved it. He was hitting 10-20 yards further then with his driver. Hopefully I can keep working on my swing mechanics and get rid of my slice. Great price to boot. Love the driver so far. |

Cobra 427 SS Stiff 9.5
Wow what a hammer! I just love this driver. Tried the Orlimar HipTi and the Cobra 350 SS. The 350 SS was straighter and more consistent the the Orlimar although the Orlimar was a tad longer. Used the 350 SS for 2 rounds but the reg flex shaft had too high of a kickpoint for me which resulted in towering drives that were straight but not as long as I would have expected. Talked to the folks at Golfshack and the recommended the stiff shaft with the low kickpoint to lower the flight. The only problem was they only had the 427 SS in stock at that time that was configured like that. I was a bit concerned with the 427cc monster but gave it a try. WOW, I was shocked. Totally impressed! It is so long and straight. I could not be any happier. Just make a normal swing and let the ball get in the way and watch it go, just explodes off the face, almost too loud sometimes! If you are looking for a driver that looks good and is long, straight and forgiving, this is your piece. As stated in other reviews here, you need to experiment with shaft flex because I did have problems hitting super high drives with the reg flex. The only problem would be the headcover which fits kinda tight. Thought it would stretch after use but the sock tore along the seam but who cares really. Anyone else encountered this? A great product nonetheless and I highly recommend it. Customer Service not encountered Similar Products Used: Orlimar HipTI 10.5, Cobra SS 350 10 |

Cobra SS 427
What a club!!!!!!!!!!! My father got the SS 350 and I took a few swings with that and loved it. I tested a demo of the 427 from my club and was killing this driver and straight. Added at least 20yds carry over any drive I ever had. It is so easy to get up in the air. So far I had the club a couple of weeks and already 6 of my friends have made the switch!! Cobra 427 Driver
After owning just about all drivers worth having, I spent a small fortune. I purchased the Cobra 427 9 deg, it is 15 to 30 yds longer that anything else I've used, but more importantly it is extremely straight. It has made golf fun for me! Most of my golf buddies are switching to Cobra after testing it, (at least 6 guys). They all love this driver. Customer Service Don't know.
