A really astonishing product. My poor hits travel about the same as my good hits with my old driver and "on the screws" gives me about 25 to 40 yards extra. Being able to hit second shots with an 8 iron from the fairway instead of a 4 iron from the rough makes a world of difference in enjoyment. I would reccomend getting lower loft though. My 10.5 Yonex Super ADX driver barely got the altitude I wanted. The same loft Cobra is too high. For most players I think the 9 degree is plenty. I had also tried the Calloway C4 which also added great distance but was generally harder to keep straight. Steve Similar Products Used: Yonex Super ADX Calloway C4 Calloway VFT |

This club is loud and long. I'v been playing the 975D (a great club in itself), but the Cobra 427 is so light I can accelerate thru the hitting zone super fast. It's probably 15-30 yds longer than the 975D, for me. When I absolutly nut it, it may be as much 40 yds longer. The launch angle is actually higher than my 9.5 deg 975D. It's a fun club! This driver has instilled so much confidence. 427 is BIG!!! When you hear that it 'seems like you can't miss'...this is the kind of club people are talking about. I purchased the 10.5 with stiff UST and I am perfectly happy. When it comes to the driver I need all the help I can get and this driver helps alot. 2 notes of interest: Tee it high and just swing smoothly. The ball will go much further if hit smoothly on the sweet spot than it will if you try to crush it and hit the toe or heel. I was looking for a forgiving yet durable driver that I can use to develop my game. The Cobra 427 is the most forgiving 400 cc club on the market in my opinion. My drives are consistently over 250 yds on every shot. If you need forgiveness and durability then you must demo this club. The shaft and grip are excellent quality and the appearance of the club head is unparalleled. Enjoy. Customer Service None yet. AWESOME. Very forgiving and loooooooong driver. I'm a very new golfer with a horrible swing and I can hit this bazooka about 290. Just have to tee it up a little higher. The head sounds like it is shattering a glass bottle when it strikes the ball. I have hit the Nike 400cc and TM 360Ti drivers and in my opinion, The Cobra is the best. Just did demo this club and came back to house and ordered it. I am a decent player with a 10 handicap but never been very good off the tee(short game is pretty good). I have tried several different drivers over the years and still hit 3 wood off of most tees because of inconsistency with driver. This club is awesome!!!! I am still not going to win any long driver contest but for me it was pretty long and very straight. Was concerned about the size of the clubhead but not after I hit a few balls. Was going to try the SS350 but after the first bucket with 427 that isn't going to be necessary. If you are inconsistent off the tee, you have to try this club. I agree with all the other reviews about this being the most forgiving club on the market. I have taken 6 strokes off my handicap already with this club, added 25 yards on pure hits and 40-50 on mis-hits which are half my shots. I had a 9 degree Great Big Bertha with a stiff shaft and went to a 10.5 regular shaft and the results are amazing. I had no intention of buying a new club realizing my swing was the problem, but tried the 427 at a demo day and had to have it. My wife is a 5'-2 bogie golfer as well and bought one too and and gained another 30 yards. This club will make golfing fun for you again! I did demo the latest Taylor Made, Callaway, Ping, and there was no comparison. Boys, size does matter! This big headed club will give you a big head. You simply must try it! Awesome! I picked up this demo club up and hit in the simulator and was sold. I have played two rounds since then, and my handicap has dropped two strokes in those two rounds. I was hitting fades on my good drives and slicing my bad drives before I went to this driver. Now I am hitting it straight and long. I love the ProForce red shaft. I went from a stiff ProForce 65 in my previous driver to the regular flex ProForce red shaft that comes standard with this driver. My neighbor hit my driver at the range and went out and bought one for him, and he agrees it is better than any driver he has hit. He was hitting Ping TiSi and TM 360 before this. His second round with this club resulted in a 78 at an interclub tournament, and lots of questions about his 16 handicap. He swears it was the driver. My swing thought looking down at this driver is 'I JUST CAN'T MISS!' Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Older King Cobra titanium driver w/ ProForce 65 stiff shaft, Adams SC driver |

cobra 427cc 10.5 deg stiff
Im a new golfer, just 2 months into the game and was trying every driver out there to find something to go along with my x-14 irons. I first had the adams 363r driver with reg flex shaft and i could never hit this club more than about 150 yards, mostly slicing. Played golf with my dad and used his 975d with stiff ys-6 shaft and while i wasnt hitting the sweetspot and wasnt getting the distance, the ball would go a bit straighter. I guess the reg flex on the adams was to light for me. So then i got a nike 9.5 deg 350cc stiff shaft which felt great to swing but since i bought it at a store that jsut had nets, didnt know i couldnt get the ball up and sliced every shot, really dont like that club at all. SO then i tried most every thing else out there and settled on the 427 cc cobra, its always been super straight and ive hit a few 260 yarders, which is about 150 yards further than my adams or nike on the average as crazy as that sounds. Amazing to see the ball take off and seemingly hang in the air, huge sweet spot on the club thats about 2 inches wide !! this has to be the most consistant driver around. Im maybe the last person to be skilled to recommend something but i know i hit this club better than anything else on the market so that should speak for something. Definatly give it a try. For $299 its a bit less than alot of the stuff out there and has a great UST shaft stock even. Only downside is the head is so big i cant even get the cover on and off Customer Service never spoke to them but might call them to ask about getting a headcover that will work with the huge 427 head Similar Products Used: most everything going, hawkeye, TM 300's, 975's, c4s, ping tsi, nike, adams, tour edge bazooka, blue rage, etc etc |
