Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

Two weeks ago one of our city's finest golf stores held a tent sale. On that particular day they were selling the Cleveland Launcher's, I had tried the 330cc before and figured "Hey why not try it again." However soon after my decision I saw the Launcher 400 and wow what a club. When hitting this driver I drive the ball farther and straighter. Just this past Monday I launched the ball a straight 365 yards on a par 5. This club is very forgiving even on bad shots, still giving maximum distance and consistent accuracy. My driving average has changed from a 265 yard average, to a incredible 315-320 yard average. It's worth every penny.

I have been using a launcher 330 for about a year now and like it a lot. But after seeing the 400 and reading some of the reviews i thought i would give a go. Well the 330 is a very good club but the 400 is even better !!! Straight away with no change in swing from the 330 i am hitting the ball straighter and longer. This club has to be one of the best looking big headed clubs. At address it looks great. Althought 400cc it does not look to large. In my first round i hit 12 out of 14 fairways and drove a greenside bunger on a 320 yard par 4. The other 2 were bad swings and produced very poor results. When i bought the club i tested it against the Cobra 430 as everyone is saying goods things about this club. But for me the Cobra is ugly and looks very closed. It does hit the ball along way but i would not say its any longer or straighter than the 400. The shaft of the Cobra is longer than the 400 and to me longer shafts means less accuracy. The 400 produces a very nice sound at impact you know when you have buttoned it. The Cobra produces a horrid noise !! Centered hits go a very long way but even off centre hits produce excellent results that seem to stay online. I try not go over the top when it comes to writing a review but there is no doubt this club is one of the best. There maybe clubs out there that go longer or straighter but Cleveland have made a great club even better It is hard to fault this club. If your in the market then at least give it a try

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to go for the 400cc 10.5* S Fujikura shaft. I wasn't disappointed at all. This driver is very forgiving, hits long and feels great when it connects. I miss hit on one of my drives. The ball trajectory was a little lower than usual with a sligt draw. What surprised me was that the ball mark on the club face was between the sweet spot and the toe!! I would have probably sliced or faded the ball with my previous driver. Now I am more confident to give that ball a harder whack...

I don't own this club, however, my friend does and I take a wack at this baby every once in a while. I love it, probably the greatest feeling I have ever gotten when I smack it the right way. I even love seeing my ball soar over the driving range fence, even though that goes on to the 8th hole where it could hit someone :). Despite that, I get awesome forgivness from this club even on a mis-hit and don't lose too much distance on my drives. I am thinking of purchasing my own soon here so I can keep up with the rest of my high school team in drives, but untill then, I'll sit back a few 15-20 yards :(.

I traded my launcher 330 in for the launcher 400. I have the standard reg. shaft. all I can say is WOW, what a difference. The 400 is much longer and forgiving and it sounds better to. If you want a better driver stay with the launcher but go with the 400.

Excellant club. I went with the 10.5* and cannot be happier with my ball flight. I just returned from a golf trip to Myrtle Beach and was very impressed with the number of fairways I hit. I believe you cannot go wrong with this driver or other newer deep face drivers on the market.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 330 Driver

After replacing my Callaway 3 wood with a Cleveland 3 wood i decided to try the driver and see if it was better than my Mizuno Forged Titanium. Well in short it is. a lot of people have written reviews on this club and can confirm that this is a great club. In the right hands this club is as good as any other driver on the market. You will find very few bad comments about this driver. At 330cc it is not to big and sits very well at address. The club looks like a big 975D and that can't be a bad thing. When struck the ball does rocket away accompanied by a loud titantium crack. When you hit the sweet spot distance is very good and even off centre hits produce good distance. As far as forgiveness is concerned its as good as any i have tested - Although if you put a bad swing on this or any club you are going to get a bad result. This club has improved my game but it is sometimes difficult to leave the club in the bag when a 3 wood should be used as i love to use this club at every opportunity. I have had the driver for about 12 months and its still in the bag which is good for me although there is a 400cc version out now and i will have to give that a smack. If the 400 is not an improvement i can see this driver being with me for a while. I regularly try all new drivers out to see if anything better has come along. Callaway BB2, TM540, TM580, Nike 400, Ping Tec, Cobra, Mizuno, Yonix 400, Wilson Deep Red. At the moment the launcher has passed the test every time. Off the shelf 9.5 degree with a stock stiff shaft. I read a lot of the reviews on this site and it seems so many are obsessed with changing shafts saying the stock shafts are crap. They change to an oem shaft and suddenly the club is transformed. They are hitting straight 300+ drivers every time - What a load of crap !!!! as they still shot in the 90s. Everyone has there own opinion when it comes to which is the best driver. I am not saying this is the best driver out there but it is certainly a driver that should be considered when buying a new one.

This club is certainly something to consider buying. I found it easy to hit and easily gained an extra 20 yards more than the 360ti i swapped it for. The launcher is much more consistent and has a much better feel. The club has a well shaped face and sits to the ball nice. I put a bigger grip on mine and it feels a lot better than the cleveland one it came with, something to consider for those big handed golfers! I preferred this club to the 975j as it has a better feel to it, the titleist sits to the ball maybe a bit better but cant compete with the clevelands fell or consistency. Overall i would recommend this to most golfers as a serious possibilty when looking for a new driver, it really is a good club, no two ways about it.
