Cleveland Launcher 400
I have been playing a callaway steelhead plus for 2 years now and at first loved it but as my swing speed increased i have begun to hate it. Just today i went to golf town and tried out a cobra 350, mizuno blue rage 350, ping tisi, callaway hawkeye, yonex 400 and the launcher 400. I found that with all the clubs i absolutely loved the launcher i just wasnt getting the same distance or consistancey as i was with the launcher. I had to have that club even though it meant a few more bucks. You have to try this club you will fall in love too. I was hitting my old driver a weak 220 and with the new launcher i am now hiting a consistant 250 260. Customer Service none |

Cleveland Launcher 330
First of all, let me say I never tire of reading these reviews that claim they routinely drive the ball 280 ... 300 ... over 300. Always good for a chuckle. Hey guys, the PGA TOUR driving distance average is about 280. Eighty percent of you claim to be longer than tour players. Hmmmm. If you are driving it 300 yards and still shooting in the 80s and 90s, better do some serious work from 100 yards in. Anyway, I digress. The Launcher 330 is a great stick. Picked one up in mint condition at a golf shop for $100 on impulse because I really liked the way it sets up and the slightly smaller size. Stock Gold stiff shaft, 10.5 degree. Have been experimenting with big monster heads with varying degrees of success. The 330 does have a very high launch angle, is very straight, quite forgiving and plenty long. The high launch angle is a perfect match for these new low-spin-off-the-driver balls out now. (Most average golfers use too little loft, too stiff a shaft, and not enough torque). Ask any pro, and they'll tell you. Anyway, this 2 handicapper "only" hits the 330 about 270 yards. But it's the consistency that impresses me. And the stock shaft is pretty good. Good feel. The 330 is a great stick if you want all the benefits of new tech but don't want a watermelon hanging off the end of your driver shaft. High ball hitters, though, should avoid the 10.5 and go with the 9.5. |

I grabbed this club from ebay because it had an Apache "orange stick" shaft in an 8.5* loft. I have used my PING TISI 8.5 for the last two years and basically love it. I chose the 330 because it is smaller, the Launcher 400 is approximately the size of my Ping. Sounds iconsistent, but I really wanted to try a smaller club. I have found the Cleveland to be about 5-10 yards shorter and not quite as forgiving as the Ping. However, I seem to hit the Cleveland consistently straighter than the Ping. I believe the Apache has a hair less torque than the UST Proforce on my Ping. A nice bargain and a fine club. Most will probably go with the 400 since it is Cleveland's newest. If it doesn't work out over the long haul there is always ebay once again. Similar Products Used: Ping TISI, Callaway Big Bertha and VFT. |

I purchased the Laucher 400, regular Fujikara shaft 8.5 degree to replace my Titleist 975D and to go along with my new TA7's and Launcher woods. I have played it now for three weeks and have been very satisfied. The large head takes some getting used to and it seems that you need to ensure that you don't overswing with the regular flew Fujikara shaft. My drive have been pretty consistent and longer that my 975D. Customer Service I have not used Cleveland Customer Service. Similar Products Used: Titleist 975D was similar in length but did not seem as forgiving as the Launcher 400. Firesole was not as long and definely not as forgiving. |

Cleveland Launcher 400 Grafalloy Blue S Shaft
I Love this club!! It delivers maximum forgiveness and it is not too imtimidating in terms of size. I tried the stock fujikura shaft and it was O.K. A few days ago i tried the new grafalloy blue shaft. Wow what a difference! The ball flies strait with a more penetrating ball flight about 275 yds(an increase from 240-250 w/ a 90 mph swing). Also when I really try to smash one, i can without fear of a snap hook. Overall the launcher 400 w/ the new blue shaft from grafalloy is an awesome combination. I look forward to lowering my scores w/ this combination. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: taylor made 320, 975J and D, Callaway Big Bertha 2, Cobra 427 |

Not a bad club. I first bought the 10.5 degree and used it for half of the season last year. Hits the ball very high. So I went to the 8.5.........not that much of a difference. The ball flies very hot off this face but it launches at a very high angle. If your playing in the wind, forget it. Ive hit the 400 and it seemed like it kept the ball down a little bit lower, but 400cc's is a huge head and working the ball with it isnt easy. I just went to the 975D 7.5 and im hitting it past my launcher, just because I keep it a lot lower. All and all, prettt good club, but if you hit the ball high, or play in a lot of wind, stay away. |

Launcher 400cc 9.5 S shaft
The 400cc head gives me so much more confidence than before. I get the sensation that every time I tee it up I will rip it. Extremely straight and long, but I needed to switch to a lower trajectory ball - because this driver, well, launches. I'm around 10 yds longer than last year - noticed one club less on certain holes compared to last year. I tried the Taylor Made 580 stiff and couldn't notice much difference, so I went with the driver that looked the best to me. Stock S shaft seems great to me - no complaints. Give it a try. I ordered this monster last week and it arrived two days ago. Went to the crowded driving range yesterday for a test drive, and man this thing is the longest driver i've ever hit. I also noticed when the ball lands it picks up plenty of roll about 20 plus yards for me. I loving it so far I have the 10.5 degree stiff shaft mrh. It's worth every penny. Launcher 400 9.5 Degree
I was skeptical having owned the Launcher 330 due to the excessively high launch angle that it produced - It robbed me a lot of distance. It was very straight but short especially in the wind. After a demo of the 400 at the range, all of my skepicism was wiped away with a couple of swings. The new .350 diameter hosel seems to give the stock X flex more stability and a lower flight than the previous X with the .335 hosel. I played 4 rounds in Florida last week and rarely missed a fairway. I'm usually a 55-65% fairways hit player. Over those four rounds I was easily in the 70-80% range and easily 7-10 yards longer. On one 500+ yard par 5, I had 150 yards home! My previous driver was the Taylor Made R510 with a rifle 7.0 steel shaft. It was straight and gave me more control, but I sacrificed distance. Plus the steel shaft wore me out on hotter days. This 400 seemed to give me back the control and distance combination I was looking for. It's by far to best combination of long and straight I've ever played - and I've played them all! Worth every bit of the $299 I paid for it and more. Launcher 400
When I read posts with claims of a new drive being 30 to 40 yards longer, I am very skeptical. BUT I just got a new Cleveland Launcher 400, 9.5 loft with the stock stiff shaft and I gained just that. My driver swing speed is about 95 and with my old 10* Callaway VFT with a firm stock shaft I avereage 220 to 230. My first round with the Cleveland, in neutral conditions I hit 5 drives at least 250 with 2 at 270. I can swing the Cleveland HARD without worring about killer pull/hooks. I've also heard a lot of bad comments about the stock shaft but it seems a lot better than the Callaway shaft. A great club, especially for $100 less than the competition.
