Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

I have hit many drivers within the last 3 months, many of them very good, only 1 of them is a launcher. If you are looking to upgrade your driver this one should be on the list of choices. I have gained close to 10 yards in average overall distance, with a low to mid penetrating ball flight. Another thing to consider is the fact that a company finally decided to give us a quality stock shaft that doesn''t need to be replaced right away. This driver is better than the 975J, longer(7 yds.) with more feel at a considerably better price. The only driver that gives the Launcher a run is the TM 300, but i still prefer the Launcher. It says Launcher for a reason.

Definitely longer and more accurate than 975J, Ping TiSi, and Taylor Made 300series. I think it has to do with the shaft more than anything else. The gold shaft is light and stiff, which allows me to swing harder wihout having to worry about spraying shots all over. The first time I played with it I consistenly hit in the fairway between 240-255 yards with the longest drive of 280 yards. This club is a real bargain. Everyone should try it out before spending $100 or $150 more for a less performing club. It really amazed me. Believe me, I demoed them all.

Tried it today for the first time at a local course. I''ve been hitting it good all day so I could make a good comparison. A good 10 to 15 yards longer than my J with a little lower trajectory. Very forgiving and very straight. Can''t beat the price. This club will be in my bag for a while.

This is the best bang for the buck! It is 15 yards longer than my current driver. When I started hitting the driver, I noticed that the ball was just exploding off of the face. It makes a hollow ping sound when you hit it on the "sweet spot" I recommend the use of 2.75 inch tees. The 2.25 inch tees are just too small for the launcher. Your ball flight will be nice and high! On impact, the ball rolls about 15 to 20 yards. I normally have a 250 yard carry. Depending on the slope of the fairway, I have a 300 yard drive! Its easy to hit it long and straight. Its a very forgiving driver. Last year, I bought a Taylor Made 360 and I returned it after a round of golf. I prefer the Launcher over the Taylor Made 360 for three reasons: 1) The shaft of the 360 is 46 inches (too long) 2) The cost of the TM 360 is $400. (Too expensive) 3) The launcher has a deeper face which is more forgiving than the TM 360 and TM 320. My advice is to find a range which has the Cleveland Launchers and hit it! I went through a couple of buckets before I settled on the the driver. I bought a 2 and 5/8 inch practice tee to go with this and I have been satisfied ever since. No matter what driver you purchase, please demo it on a range. Don''t hit it into the net. You can''t tell how you are really hitting it. I can''t understand how people can buy a product without first testing it. Most people don''t buy a car unless its first test driven, why would you buy a driver? In fact, I recommend you see your local pro and have them fit you for a driver. I did this with the Launcher.

Very nice club. First 27 holes I played with it, I hit 19 of 21 fairways. My average drive is about 235-240 and my longest drive about 275... I caught it on the screws. The bi-matrix shaft is made for Cleveland with a gold finish that looks like the stock Fuju shafts. When I first opened the box, I thought they sent me the stock shaft, but when I pulled it out of the box, I realized it was a gold Bi-matrix shaft with Cleveland''s logo, etc. As mentioned in other reviews, it doesn''t look like 330cc from address. I played with a guy who has the Titleist 975J and it looked very similar in style and color. He asked to hit it and I let him. He hit it the Launcher 15 yards past his drive with his Titleist. "Not bad!" he said, raising his eyebrows. I snatched my Launcher back and said, "Gimme me driver!" He chuckled. Definitely a nice club for the money.

Customer Service

I''ve dealt with Cleveland twice and both times, I had great, quick service.

Terrific driver. Had previously played Ping TISI (good club, tended to go right a lot, felt a little light in the clubhead) and Callaway hawkeye (good in the middle, less forgiving otherwise). This club feels so much better. Has a large forgiving clubhead but appears to be quite compact when viewed from address position. Powerful boring trajectory plus excellent distance. I also found it to be quite good at neutralising my usual mistakes (usually hook, few slices). The shaft is quite firm for a regular shaft which is great. Overall a fantastic club

GREAT CLUB! I JUST WENT THROUGH EXTENSIVE TESTING OF ALL THE CLUBS. I''VE BEEN A PING GUY FOR YEARS & I WAS HOPING THE NEW PING TEC WOULD BE IN MY BAG, BUT THE NEW LAUNCHER EDGED IT OUT. THE LOOK, FEEL & PRICE OF THE LAUNCHER PROVIDE THE HIGHEST RATINGS. PERFORMANCE, WELL IN MY OPINION, ALL THE NEWER CLUB PERFORM GREAT SO IT COMES DOWN TO LOOKS, FEEL & PRICE WHICH AS I STATED THE LAUNCHER GETS THE HIGHEST RATINGS, SO ITS IN MY BAG. I PLAYED SEVERAL ROUNDS WITH IT SO FAR (THE 9.5, STIFF) & I COULDN''T BE HAPPIER.

In one word...stunning! Both in appearance and performance this club tops all others I have tested. If you don''t believe me just pick one up, as soon as it''s in your hands you''ll notice the perfect look and feel of the club. It just begs to be hit. It''s long off the tee (like many new model drivers) but the one thing that jumped out at me was the forgiveness. A bad swing will still get you into trouble, but on a slight miss-hit this club will do everything it can to keep you long and in the fairway. Do yourself a favor and go test one of these new beauties! If you thought the Quadpro was the best Cleveland could do, you were WAY off! By the way, did I mention it''s priced $100 cheaper than it''s competition?

Excellent driver, very large and forgiving head - doesn''t feel bulky. Of all the drivers i''ve hit this is the longest and straightest, with top notch feel. I''m not going to try and tell you that i gained 20 yards with it, but i would honestly say close to 10. I did purchase it from the factory with a Grafalloy 35 (lower ball flight), but the stock shaft is just as good - Fujikura. I would recommend this driver to anyone of any playing ability - 5 stars.

Customer Service

Cleveland demo rep was at the store when i bought it, very knowledgable.
