Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

I have tried just about every new driver out there since February. The Callaway VFT, Taylor 320, 300 and then the 360. The Titliest 975D and 975J. Also the Mizuno T Zoid. I still have a Callaway Hawkeye and the Mizuno. I saw the reviews on the cleveland here on this page and went to my local golf store, Nevada Bobs here in Mission Viejo Ca. All the guys there had high marks for this club so I figured what the hell and turned in the Taylor 360 for it. I went for the 8.5 with the stiff shaft. What a choice. I have played six rounds with the club and can''t believe it. It''s a very solid feeling and sounding club. unlike all the other crap I have tried. The Taylors and Callaways are surviving on name alone. You can say what ever you want about stock shafts, but I really like the gold Cleveland shaft. I usually had a high ball flight with my Callaway 9 degrees. With this 8.5, the ball is a little more boring and it goes. Plus this club is very forgiving and most of all, lay it on the ground and it just looks like a great club. For the price, this club blows away all the rest of the ones I have tried. The closest would be the mizuno with a proper shaft in it.

Hot face, mid trajectory, great distance and accuracy. What I like best is that with my Ping TISI tec I still bleed a few off to the right ( when my tempo is off) and with this club I am RARELY anything but rope straight or left. It doesn''t have that extra 10-15 yards of roll that the ping has but it I just feel more confident as it isn''t more forgiving on a mis-hit but it will forgive my tempo errors better (fuji shaft is sweet.) Been a long time Ping user so I keep hoping the tec takes over but the Launcher is just too reliable and they both have similar distances with the Ping just a little longer for me.

Great distance and forgiveness. solid contact. Keeps the ball in the fairway. I agree with the statement about a "wippy" shaft. Very lite compared to my old TM Firesole, need to get used to. I have gone with the stiff shaft instead of the regular in retrospect! Still a great club and terrific looking!

Have been using A GBB for a long time but also tried other brands...Bought a 9 degree BBB liked the club but the stock shaft has too much torque. Re-shafted with a Penley Graphite, have the same shaft in my Steelhead 3 wood. Instant improvement longer than the GBB easy to use, good carry and ball flight. The BBB in my opinion is still one of the best out there

I have played and have a lot of Drivers. The Launcher is a very solid club. Looks great at address. I am still dialing it in but I think I have landed on the Driver that will be in my bag for quite a while. The ball flight is some what high, but hot. I hit all my clubs including my irons high. Distance is good I hit it about 230 in the air. The courses I play in the hill country of Texas are almost all up hill with windy conditions so I''m not sure yet of my over all distance. Forgiveness is very, very good. I think my average will end up at around distance 250-260 yards which for me is about right. I''m sorry I cannot post it hits the ball 300+. I think a lot of the reviewers might want to step off their drives they might find they are not as long as they post. My club head speed is about 97 MPH. The shaft sends the ball high but is a good stock shaft. I will wait a while B-4 a re-shaft. I would highly recommend this club! Great Driver for the price, for that matter any price. I play a 9.5, stiff shaft. Give it a try B-4 you buy.

This is a club you must try at least. I broke the shaft on my QuadPro Ti, and decided to purchase a driver to use while waiting on Cleveland to reshaft. I had been thinking about the Launcher for a while, and after hitting it at a local pro shop, traded in a couple of clubs for it. I am very impressed to say the least, played at Pelham Bay here in NYC and hit 80% of the fairways. Ball flight is much higher than the QuadPro Ti and I believe that is a function of the shaft. The club is very long and the ball literally explodes off the face. I think my carry was about 15 yards longer than my beloved QuadPro Ti. Even though the shaft felt wippy, you could really load and explode into the ball, generating a lot of distance and ball speed. All I can say is if you are looking for a great driver with a decent stock shaft and you don''''t want to pay a fortune, then give the Launcher a try, I don''''t think that you will be too disappointed.

Customer Service

Pretty good, they try and answer your questions within a couple of days if you e-mail them. Phone calls are generally answered the same day.

I have tried LOTS of drivers in the last year or two. Nothing comes close to the Cleveland Launcher for accuracy and forgiveness with good distance. I got the 9.5* with the stock Fuji regular flex shaft. The fact that it is a 45" shaft makes it easier to control, and my swings are much more consistent and therefore confident and relaxed. If you are in the market for a driver, be sure to try the Cleveland launcher before you buy anything else. You''ll be amazed at the job they have done. Cleveland isn''t just for wedges any more!

Best driver I have ever hit. I tried this driver at a range in Dulles and fell in love with it. I use a 2 and 5/8 inch rubber tee with the mats and I take a nice easy swing. You can hear and see the ball explode off the tee. For playing, I use the 2 and 3/4 inch tees. This is the easiest, most forgiving driver I have ever hit. I previously played with a TM 360. The TM 360''s face is not as deep as the launcher and the bubble shaft in my opinion is not as good as the launcher''s fuji shaft. (I felt the TM 360''s a little too long 46 inches to the launcher''s 45 inches). Plus, you can''t beat the price! The TM 360 was $400! The money I received from trading in my TM 360 as used allowed me to purchase this driver brand new!!! I love the mirrored sole plate and the golf fuji shaft so much that I purchased the 3 wood 15 degree as well. But, don''t take my word for it. Go to your local driving range and ask for the demo. Don''t hit into a net, its a waste of time. You''ll see for yourself why this is the easiest, straightest and longest (legal) driver on the market. Kudo''s to cleveland golf!

For the past 5 months, I''ve tried quite a lot of drivers. I bought a 10 degree VFT and sold it after few months, then bought an Orlimar HipTi 9.5 and traded for the Launcher. All of them are good clubs, in terms of distance, VFT, HipTi and Launcher, in terms of accuracy, Launcher, HipTi and VFT. As I learned it the hard way, accuracy is far more important than distance, by the way, the difference in distance is no more than 10 yards. I like to try different swing on the range and on the course, I found most drivers favor certain type of swing, but with Launcher, it always gives me very decent results with all the different kinds of swing that I throw at it. I become very comfortable with this driver, I average between 230-240 yards which is 10-15 yards longer than my GBB, but the Launcher is more accurate. This is the best driver that I ever played, although it is not the longest but it is the most forgiving.

WOW! Not only am I pleased with the distance I now get, but the people that I''m paired with are impressed. I''m carrying the ball perhaps 10-15 yards more than I did the my old driver. More importantly, I''m keeping the ball in the fairway more often with this club. My previous driver was an Adams SC 814, which is the neutral model. I rarely felt comfortable with the Adams at address. With the Launcher I''m completely comfortable and confident when I step up to the ball. The price on this titanium driver is a little easier on the pocket than the TaylorMade 300''s, Callaway VFT, Titleist 975J, and Mizuno. I would definately recommend this club to anyone in search of a new driver.
