Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

I recently was over at my local retail shop checking out new equipment. I had been thinking about looking a bigger driver for next season. I had been using a 975D for 2 years and most recently a TM 300. I was looking at the new Ping and Mizuno 300. A buddy that works at the store said before you go try those on the range, check out this new driver from Cleveland. I hadn''t even considered a Cleveland driver before, but I like the traditional style of it and the deep face. After hitting only a dozen balls I knew this was the driver I was putting in my bag. I hit the 8.5 which actually hit ball higher than you would think. It had the stock Fujikura shaft in it. This club is very easy to hit. With my 975D and TM300 you had to hit it fairly close to the sweetspot to get optimum distance. With this driver, put it on the face near the center and it''s gone. I''ve been hitting the ball so well with it, I had the shop extend the shaft by 1" and regrip it. I picked up about 5 mph on my swing speed and around 5-10 yds. in carry depending on how pure I hit it. Also bought the 13'' wood to match and benched the Titlesit 975f that I had. The ball flight is much better and it definitely has a better feel than the 975f. Overall a great combination. I can''t wait to get some rounds under the belt with them.

I have been playing a Callaway 8.5 degree VFT Pro Series w/Prolite 3.5 stiff and to this day still love it. I am a big equipment freak and decided to give the new launcher a try. Good move on my part! In comparrison and feel when stacked up next to the Callaway VFT PS, they are 2 totally different drivers. The VFT has a spongy feel in the sweet spot and the Launcher has a nice solid ting sound. I went with the Graphite Design YS-7 due to all the hype and it is also a great shaft. The only thing I regret is that I did not get the 8.5 degree in the Laucher. I bought the 9.5 thinking that the YS-7 (from what I had read) was going to produce a much lower ball flight. The 9.5 is toed in a little, therefore I hit nice high draws that carry on average 250 yards. That is pretty nice, but I think it will be hard to pull a cut shot off with it. All and all, this is really a great club for anyone. I am still going to keep my VFT for backup, but for the money you can''''t go wrong with the Launcher. I may sell this one and try out the 8.5 degree. My hanicap is a 9, but I really think a 30 could hit this club.

I recently switch to the Launcher from the Steel head plus. This club gave me 30 yards more and a larger sweet spot. The only complain about this club is the "ping" sound is too loud when hit on the sweet spot.

It is still a mystery for me how huge influence your equipment have on you swing, and thereby your performance. But "The Launcher" is the best example on this metaphor. I have never, and mean never hit a golf ball longer but most imported, straighter than I did the first time a try this wonder. As many other players I had problems with a slides, but this is all gone now, thanks to "The Launcher". I have had the driver for a month now, but as you might know is it winter in Denmark now, so it is not the best time to be a golf fanatic. I have only one wish for Christmas, that is soon will be summer again so I can use my new investment and easily reduce my handicap. (8.4 hcp.)

Holy sweet mother of jesus. This club is the best. I went from a 975J traded it in to get a Mizuno Blue Rage Driver. Didnt'''''''' like it at all and was back a week later to get the launcher. This is the best purchase I have made in my golf career, and believe me I buy a lot of stuff. This thing is very forgiving and long as any other driver, longer than the J and Blue Rage. Buy this and not the Taylor or J. Try it and buy it is my motto.

Customer Service

Great I love Clevelands customer service. Try the wedges also.

I have been searching for the right driver for years and finally found it in the Cleveland Launcher. I am hitting the ball further and straighter than ever before with more consistentcy. The Fujikara shaft combined with the Launcher head makes the perfect combination.

Customer Service

The people at Cleveland Golf have been extremely helpful everytime I have called.

This driver is absolutely terrific!; not only do I hit it farther but more importanly I hit it straight. I have a swing speed of about 85mph which works quite well with the stock regular flex shaft. This is the best driver I have used to date. Thanks Cleveland.

When I hit the ball with the Luancher, the words that come out of my mouth are "Holy Sweet God"!!!! This is the craziest driver I''ve ever held in my hand! If I give this driver an even half decent swing, the damn thing crushes the ball......no forgive me, it murders the ball with a thunderous explosion that leaves you wondering if you should see your ENT doctor for an ear check-up. I''m surprised that golf balls can last more than 5 holes with this kind of punishment. The shaft is gorgeous and eye appealing against the chrome outlay of the head, resting in my blue golf bag. The head is absolutely beautiful, causing eyesores from constant admiration of its colors and its gorgeous, classic deep faced design. This is not just an ordinary players club, it''s an improvement club that will reward you for swinging it properly and punish you less for mishandling it. Right away, the launcher tells you how it likes to be handled- high teed ball and a hard but smooth swing. It is among the most golfer friendly of drivers that I have hit, constantly giving its owner a fabulous feeling of satisfaction and its onlookers- a feeling of orgasmic envy as well as regret from paying $400+ for their J or their hunk of Taylor crap. Keep drooling people as I hit my Launcher in the fairway while you pay more to chop wood! This will be in my bag for quite some time. Way to go Cleveland- you have made golf much more fun and a lot less expensive, earning your place in my bag!

Customer Service

Good service but don''t expect state of the art swing analysis like Titleist or Callaway provides. The fitting process is very simple and they don''t get very sophisticated

I like the 2001 DEEP RED 365cc. more forgiving and much like the cleavland 330cc. I feel the deep red is straightest driver on the market, and long. If u want to jump on it(u can while your golfing because u know u will be in the fairway. the new 365cc wilson is now even more forgiving. The cleavland launcher is my second choice. cheaper and hits straighter than most. Does have more feel than the deep red. But a club that hits well is what wins me. not feel to tell me where i went wrong. I have eyes for that. I bought and still have yet to see a driver hit straighter than the deep red. I hit a drive 260 yards dead, dead, straight on #1 tee. the next guy, who was commenting on my overwhelming red lacquor finish of the deep red, who just played pebble beach, 70 golfer, duffed two tee shots in a row. I just smiled and said its the club. Its technology
