Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

I demoed 6-7 drivers this spring, from all three of the new Taylor Made 300 series, to Titleist, Ping and Calloway. For me there was no comparison. The cleveland was by far the easiest, most forgiving driver i've ever hit. The Cleveland just punishes the ball. I've always been a pretty long hitter and the first day I demoed the Launcher, I had 4 drives over 350 yds. Honest. Now , I did have a nice breeze behind me, but even so those are long drives. Today, on a par 5, 520 yds long, I hit driver and a 125 yd lob wedge, you do the math. Now, there have been some drives that are pure crap, but more often than not this Cleveland gives me great confidence and wonderful results. 5 stars is not enough, go try this driver, just let me hit my second shot and let me get out of your way before you tee off.

This club is awesome!! I was at first frustrated as I was not used to the big head but boy am I killing the ball now. The name really fits this clubs. I ws launching drives straight and about 280 consistenly. And I'm only 5'8", 140! The one thing I will say is that you need to have a decent(not necessarily good) swing down for this club or you will slice. Even with an average swing, if you swing through the ball and rotate every time, it will go straight and far even with bad contact. This club is for all players. I tried the Hawkeye VFT and TM 320ti but this baby crushed those guys. The Launcher was definitely farther and more consistently accurate! Buy this club!

Great Driver. I have hit may different makes and models of drivers and this one is by far the most forgiving club on the market that I am aware of. Get me on the fairway everytime. The club hits it long, but more importantly - straight.

Model Reviewed: launcher 9.5 stiff

After reading the glowing reviews, demoed the club then picked up one online. 9.5* with stock stiff shaft. Took two buckets on the range to get into the groove then took it out onto the course. Have played 5 rounds with it and they have been my best driving rounds ever. The most fairways I missed a round was three (normally hit a little over half). Great tragectory and carry, decent roll-have increased driving distance from around 240-250 (with steelhead +) to around 270-275. You can't beat the price and quality of this club-do yourself a favor and pick one up.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 9.5 Stiff Gold Fugi

The stock Stiff Shaft is low torque and plays like a real stiff grafalloy, although a fugi design. It's not at all soft like many say. You had better generate some CH speed or it will not rocket. Straight and draws are common. Slices are very small, if at all (really a small fade at best). It is not as high as everyone says. Hit the fairway club for sure. Aim it for a draw and it does it 90% of the time. It is not as long as some, but in the fairway most of the time, with decent distance. You will start to play smart golf with the Launcher due to the precision of the club. I'll keep the 9.5 for quite awile due to it's consistency, not pure distance. Tight holes where a driver is all but required, no problem. Swing away. Slicers - it's not the club, sorry.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Laucher Driver 9.5 Stiff Shaft

Every now again i look at the latest drivers on the market to see if anything can improve on my existing driver. I currently use a Mizuno T-Zoid Forged Titanium driver and like many people have found this to be a great club. I thing it suits the better player as its not the most forgiving but the performance is up there with best drivers from TM, Callaway, Ping and Titleist. After trying most of the new offerings from the above i came across the laucher and decided to give it a try based mainly on the reviews on this site. After demoing the club for a short period i liked the club so much i decided to buy one. I have played a couple of rounds with the Laucher and i have not been disappointed. At address the club looks superb. It just inspires confidence. At 330cc the club is big but looks right and not too oversized like those other drivers that are 350, 370 and over 400cc. The first strike on the course was a joy and i understand why its called the Laucher. The ball comes off the face hot !! and gets airborn very quickly. Although the flight is quite high it still seems to be very penetrating (even into wind). Distance was impressive although the Mizuno is just as long. But the difference was that the Launcher stays in the air longer and so has more carry. Over the 2 rounds i have made some minor adjstments to my swing and grip to see how the club performs and i have to say this club is easy to hit and very forgiving - big sweetspot. Out of the box this club is without doubt one of the easiest drivers to use. Not all drives came out of the middle but the results were still pretty good (better than the mizuno) and found the fairway or light rough. I am sure i will hit some really bad drives with the Launcher but that has nothing to do with the club. Maybe the previous reviewer should reflect on the fact that the most consistent component in the swing is the club itself - The next time he slices a drive. This club is now in my bag and has replaced the Mizuno. It looks great, it combines distance with forgivness and the feeling you get when you nail one will put a smile on your face.

This is an excellent club. I hit an average of 30-40 yards more than my old club. Not only that, but i was constantly in the middle of the fairway. BUY THIS DRIVER!!!

I''ve only had this club a few days so i and i''m not quite used to it but take this review for what it''s worth. I was really looking forward to getting this club and it really is a good club, but it''s not the great, awsome driver that i''ve been reading about. I''ve hit drivers everywhere with this club, left, right and center. The left hits i can understand because of the closed face but i''m really annoyed with the fades and slices i still get now and then. This club also gets eaten up in the wind. Unless you hit a pretty low drive, the wind will get to your ball. I''ve especially noticed the crosswinds get it a lot. That being said, it still is a good club. The distance has been good, and it has been great. I haven''t hit any rockets, but i''ve gotten some good distance. I''d say the forgiveness is good, not great. This is a pretty good club if you don''t have a good, premium driver. However, when i''m swinging well, the 975D crushes the launcher, but that doesn''t happen everyday. Bottom line, it''s a great club, but if you can you really might want to try it first if you can.

A very, very forgiving club. I''ve hit it way out on the toe and high on the face, still they seem to go straight. And it feels like heaven when you find the sweet spot. I''ve been able to slow my swing speed down for accuracy, and still gain 10 to 15 yards on my old driver.....and the kicker is that it''s less expensive than most other big name drivers. Best value on the market hands down.
