Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The LAUNCHER Driver was first introduced in November of 2000 to a select group of PGA Tour professionals. Put in play immediately, the LAUNCHER driver started making headlines when Vijay Singh used it to win back-to-back tournaments on the European Tour. Andrew Magee landed in the PGA history books when he made the only ever hole in one on a par four. Other golfers also used the LAUNCHER to win on Tour. The LAUNCHER Driver is rapidly earning a place in golf bags on and off The Tour because of its unprecedented distance and all-around performance.

Boasting a traditional shaped 330cc clubhead, the LAUNCHER features a Titanium body and a thin Beta-Titanium face that precisely meets the legal COR (coefficient of restitution) limit set forth by the USGA. The LAUNCHER Driver was designed to not only meet the needs of pros on The PGA Tour but, more importantly, to bring better distance and enjoyment to your game.

Excellent club, a little stiff for my recovering hand surgery but right down the pipe. lost distance because my swing is slower after hand surgery but its in the fairway almost every time now. Very happy with the club, had spine aligned and didn't see any differences, just me though. great product.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 9.5 R-Flex

Went to a "Demo Days" at local driving range. Hit every model driver except Wilson Deep Red. The launcher far exceeds Nike, TaylorMade, Callaway, King Cobra, Titleist, etc. I liked it so much that I also purchased the 15 and 19 degree fairway woods. My last 2 rounds I have hit 2 par-5s in 2 using the launchers, something I have never been able to do before. I am now able to cut doglegs, blast tee shots over fairway bunkers, and hit less iron into 4 and 5 pars. The club is very forgiving, even on mis-hits. Be sure to use light grip pressure and take a nice smooth full swing and the ball explodes off of the face. I've gained at least 20-30 yards off the tee and also can hit my fairway woods farther. The regular flex graphite shaft responds well and the solid feel is unlike any other club. So, get yourself a launcher, you won't regret it. After all, the only thing you have to lose is more yardage, straighter shots, and wonderful feel.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 9.5 S

I tested many drivers before buying the Launcher including the 975J, T-Zoid, TM 320, Ping TiTec, C4, and the Nike, among others. First off, the Nike and C4 are gimmicky and a joke. I liked all of the other drivers, but it came down to the 975J and the Launcher, which I fell in love with right away because of its feel and results. The Launcher is a little bit longer and a little bit straighter than any other driver I hit. Combine those attributes with its great feel, look, and sound, and I felt the Launcher was an easy choice as it overall was a lot better than any other driver. I've improved my game immensely and I'm shocking myself and my friends with my drives now. I tried it with a UST 65 regular shaft and the Fujikuru shaft that is standard (mine's a stiff) and both gave me excellent results. The more I hit it, the more I love it. Do not cheat yourself. Test this before you buy anything else. It's amazing

My first driver, started playing around 3 years ago, was titleist 975d, and it was sh*t. I bought it cause I like Tiger Wood.I couldnt hit it and it demotivated me to play with a driver for almost 3 years. Then a month ago I bought a used 320 titanium taylor made stiff shaft and loved it. It is a great club, forgiving but i only can hit it in average of 200 -210 meters. Yesterday I tried VFT pro series r flex 10.5 and hated it, then I tried the launcher 9.5 stiff luancher gold shaft and absolutely loved it and bought it straight away. I went to the driving range the next minute after purchasing it and it is without the doubt the absolute best. I gained around 20 meters with this club and it is forgiving as hell. Recommendation:BUY IT

This is an addition to my review May 16th of this year.....after playing enough rounds with this club to really appreciate it, i would give it a 6 out of 5 if that were possible. I've shot my career-low round with it, and last monday at Men's League, hit my best ever drive of 353 yards, dead center of the fairway. (Being a bestball format, I took a much-harder-than-normal cut at it...). I easily average 280 to 290 with it, a good 30 yards over the old Firesole. Buy it.

I've been playing this club for about a week now. I'm getting about 25 yards more on off center hits and about 10 yards more when I hit the sweet spot. The sweet spot on this club is huge and easy to hit. I feel like I hit the sweet spot about half the time. With me the carry on this club is huge, and if I hit it low enough I still get some roll. As for accuracy, this club goes where you hit it. I can hit it low, high, draw, fade... It took some getting used to, but I'm in the fairway more frequently than ever now. I hit this club with confidence even when I'm not swinging that well and the results are most often good. My Warbird will be staying in the closet. When I demo'd the Launcher I also tried the Taylor made 360 and 300. They both were way to heavy and they sounded like very tinny to me. I couldn't hit them well. The Launcher sounds like a driver should to me. It also feels great to swing. I can't get enough of this club.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 10.5 Stiff

For a year now I have been struggling off the tee. I tend to hit shots low and often into the grass in front of the tee. My iron play is fine and I get plenty of height, but woods especially the driver, have meant that I have spent loads of time in frustration trying to sort out my swing. Last year I purchased the Deep Red and found that when I was in the groove, I could hit it a long way - and it was straight, but too much of the time the wheels came off and I resorted to an iron off the tee. A couple of days ago I was going to play nine hole with a colleague, and I asked in the pro shop if they could recommend a driver which might sort out my problem, and he handed me the Launcher 10.5 stiff. What can I say... not a single duff shot into the grass - not all pretty, some right some left some low some high... BUT as my confidence grew I started to open my shoulders and swing harder and by the end of the nine holes I was really excited. I headed for the range to hit a few more balls and ended up smacking a drive off the radar screen using a high tee. I am sure that I will buy this club, but am nervous of making another costly mistake - anybody out there found that the longer term reality is not as positive as first impressions? I know that I have suspect driving action, and have tried many other makes but it seems to me that the Cleveland Launcher is really the most forgiving driver out there - put it this way, if I can use it anyone can!!

Model Reviewed: Launcher 8.5*, Fuji Stiff

just bought the launcher after using a higher lofted bubble burner for years. before purchasing, i paid a pro for an hours time and hit every new driver on the market. given my handicap in the mid teens, pro had me swinging higher loft and regular stiffness on first launcher. when i tried the 8.5 with stiff, and with a few adjustments, it was fairly easy to control and really bounces. the 8.5 provides more than enough height, although that may be a personal result. the distance is impressive with this stick. best of all, it is the most reasonably priced of all the top-model titanium drivers and, in my opinion, better than many clubs nearly double the price. i would caution that, as with most titanium drivers, it takes some time to adjust. if the club is gripped too tightly, it will slice, bad. overswinging will also result in poor results. key for me with this club is a "strong" grip with the left hand, very light grip pressure, and easy tempo on swing. overall, i am extremely pleased with this club. good swings produce excellent results (added literally 30-40 yards on my old, mis-fit bubble) and mis-hits stay near fairway with decent distance. i'd also add that i've read good reviews on this site of other clubs i demo'd and really disliked, such as the taylor 360, so personal swing fit will likely make you love or hate the launcher. if it fits your swing, you should be more than pleased with the results.

I paid a little more and had a Fujikura Prototype 70-S shaft installed. It takes a little time at the range to get used to the 1* closed face on the 9.5*, but once you adapt, it is a good 20 yards longer than my Quadpro w/ EI-70 shaft. Maybe it is the shaft, but club hits much straighter than the Quadpro(which is also an excellent club).

It took me about 3 rounds to get comfortable with this club but I am very happy with the results. Just as straight as my Deep Red but a good 20 yards longer. When you tag this thing you don't even have to look up,you just know your in the fairway and deep.
