I am quite obsessive about buying clubs and have therefore played with many different drivers. This one is a very nice one. It is really efficient and long when a good swing is place on it, and also very manageable when you mis-hit it. I am a short hitter, but I get pretty good to very good distance with this driver without having to increase my swing speed. I am an 8.3 but would recommend this one for all handicappers.

Solid club, very forgiving on miss hits with minimal distance loss but would recommend the Aldila shaft upgrade as opposed to the stock “black” fujikura shaft. Handsome set up but club heads sits slightly more closed than other drivers like the Mizuno MP001 or Callaway FT3 Tour. If you purchase be sure to go one loft less than you think as the ball flight tends to be pretty high. Expect to spend around $300 for retail. I bought off of Ebay for $180 shipping included which is a great bargain, but be sure to test drive one first being that there is no 90 day guarantee off of Ebay.

Well I have always played a Titleist driver. About three years ago I purchased the 974J-VS from Titleist and I absolutely loved it. I told myself that I was never going to get a new driver until it broke or was in unplayable condition. Over these last three years I have heard many things on these new "huge" drivers and how far they go. But with my Titleist I hit about 70 percent of fairways but was not always the longest one in my group anymore due to these new dirvers. But I was still set on keeping my Titlest. I didnt think that I needed the extra distance and that I wouldnt need a new driver for a while. Well I was at golf shop one day testing out a new putter when the rep came to me and asked me if I had tried any of the new drivers. I told him that I hadn't and he said I should at least try them out. So after testing the new Titlest's the new TM's the new Callaway and then new Ping I had finally came to the Cleveland 460comp. Right when I held the club it seemed to give me unbelievable confidence at address. So I hit a few into the net, the sound and feel were incredible. I told him I had to hit this club on the range and he let me take it to the nearest one. I had about 20balls with it and I fell in love. I was hitting them at least 20yards further then my old driver and I was striping them right down the center almost every time. I almost felt bad letting go of my Titleist driver that I have had in my bag for over three years, that club has been so good to me but I knew it was time to say goodbye. Since then I have added 20yards at least to my game and an added confidence that can only help me on the course. My cap is low so it didnt imrove it that much, but the real deal is on the consistency, and my ability to shoot low numbers most of the time. I would tell any golfer of any skill to get this driver, at least try it out and give it a shot....you won't be dissapointed!

Have not had to deal with them since I have just got this driver.

I'm not a good golfer, but I love the game. Also, no club has ever prompted me to write a review. Get this club. It's about 15 yards longer than my current outdated club, a KZG CH1. But it is also much more forgiving and longer on average. So if I used to mis-hit 220 before, I get 235 now. The trajectory is also much higher. So when I snap-hooked it into the woods before, now I might be on the edge of the fairway. Look and feel is top notch. This is the way to build a club. The setup of the head is relatively small for a 460. My two very small complaints are that the grip feels a little too small in my hands and it's a little loud on impact (bad golfers don't like to draw attention to themselves). Why do expensive clubs come with crappy grips? Although I only have one, I had a drive of 280 the other day. Like all bad golfers I don't always complete my shoulder turn, but I haven't hit 280 in many years (I'm 46). Buy this driver.

Easier to hit well than my TM R7 Quad HT; just a nice easy swing does the trick. I’m not going to say that I’m hitting the 460 Comp tons longer than my R7. What impresses me is that I’m getting constantly better results with this club, swinging the same speed and tempo as I do with my R7. The real story for me is Cleveland’s customer service.

Customer Service

I recently had a problem with the crown on my 460 Launcher Comp; miss-hit on my part. Talked to Cleveland's Customer Service and they had my local Pro Shop send the club in to see if the damage might fall under warranty work. A week later Cleveland sent me back a brand new 460 Launcher Comp at no charge. Great Product and a Great Company - Kudos to Cleveland Golf !!!!

First of all, I can not believe the increase in distance for me as well as the accuracy of this driver. The increase in club head speed is one of the secrets of this technology. Without changing my swing the increase in distance ranged from a low of 20 yards to a high of 40 yards. I cannot even believe myself this could be true!!! My reguluar playing patners are shocked as they see me hit this Driver. I am hitting different clubs now for my second shot and I am reaching 400 yard par 4 holes in 2 shots more often. I have been using the G2 by Ping and it is a very good club, BUT this Driver blows by it in the air!!! I am using the 9.5 degree with a regular cleveland graphite shaft, compared with the ten degree regular Ping G2 shaft. My swing speed which was in the mid to high 80's mph range increased 10 miles per hour immediately, and after only three rounds the scores have gone from the mid/upper 80's to the low 80's and even the high 70's[you still need to chip and putt].Try different shafts and loft degrees if you can of the Comp. and give it a demo, hopefully it will work for you too. Maybe there is truly the right club for all of us and it just takes time to find it!!!

Customer Service

Excellent people in the Cleveland van, but trial and error on the range as well as the course is still the real test.

Hands down the best driver made! When combined with the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue shaft and the 9.5 degree head makes for a deadly combination. This driver is long and very forgiving. The trajectory is great with little or no backspin allowing for maximum roll. This driver likes to go straight, but can be worked when needed. I can't say enough good things. Go get it

This is a great driver and one of the best I've hit of the Cleveland's. I had the 10.5 w/Stiff Launcher shaft and it had great forgiveness and distance. Compared to a Taylor Made or Callaway shaft, the Cleveland shaft seemed to play a little stiffer, but it didn't detract from the playability. The club was somewhat easy to work both ways, but really preferred a straight ball flight. Even with the 10.5 I didn't get real high ball flight, so I would recommend you hit one. Distance wise, this club seemed about the same as teh Callaway 454 and Taylor Made R7 ht, but it can hit some even further on occasion. Overall, great club and good forgiveness

Model Reviewed: Launcher Comp 460

I had an opportunity to get fitted by the Cleveland Tech Tour van when they recently rolled into town. I also was fitted by the Taylor Made guys (I was more impressed with the Cleveland guys' knowledge). After checking out my swing on the launch monitor (mid 90mph swing speed) - the Launcher Comp was the definite no brainer. I had them build a Launcher Comp 11 Degree with the Grafalloy ProLaunch Stiff Shaft. This combination allowed me to get the optimal carry and roll combo than any other driver I tried on the launch monitor. I was launching at the optimal 14 - 15 degrees of launch and hovering around 3000 RPMs of spin (give or take a few hundred rpms). I have been a Titleist guy for a long time and was using a 983K 10 Degrees with a Fuji Speeeder 757 stiff shaft - just wasn't hitting it very consistently. Ends up that the kick point of the 757 wasn't very good for my swing and could use another .5 degree of loft. The stats on the launch monitor are one thing and it can be something completely different on the course but I wasn't disappointed. I hit a natural fade with my swing and the last 2 rounds that I have played with the Launcher Comp I am averaging about 240 yards of carry with a good amount of roll with witnesses (depending on the conditions) which has put me in great position for good second shots. The club is very forgiving and will allow you to mis-hit the ball without severe consequences - unlike the 983K. The bottom line is if you can get fitted for a driver - do it. Get on the launch monitor at your local golf store and find the right combination of loft and shaft (stock or custom). Although you may be loyal to one brand you may find another brand of driver that gives you the best combination for you.

Customer Service

The Tech Van guys are awesome! I had a small problem with a small crack in the top of the crown. The Tech Van guys gave me their email address before hand and told me to contact them with any problems. I contacted them, sent back the original driver, they built me a new one (same specs) and had a new driver in my hands within 1 week. Great customer service!!
