Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

New technology has made it possible for golf clubs to be more effective and powerful than ever before. The Launcher 400 has the technology of the original Launcher 330 with the added benefits that come from a larger clubhead. This great feeling driver produces a higher launch angle with lower backspin for more carry and increased roll, and also offers an increased moment of inertia which reduces the amount of lost distance on off-center hits. With these new technological advances come restrictions to keep the game fair and fun for golfers of all levels. The rules of golf dictate that a driver face can only offer a certain amount of spring-like effect known as the Coefficient of Restitution or C.O.R. The USGA has officially ruled that the maximum amount of C.O.R. allowed in a golf club is .830. The New Launcher 400 precisely meets this legal limit allowing you to post all of your scores. So, you'll be able to put this club into play in any tournament at any golf course and feel confident that you're getting the distance, the great feel and accuracy of the most technologically advanced club in the game.

Wow, best driver I haved used yet. Shaft/head combo fits well. $179 at golfsmith, new. 400cc is large, but easier to swing than the 460 monsters. Much more accurate than my old 460 Ignite. More forgiving than my 983k.

Great club purchased mint condition second hand for $300 NZD with fujikura gold shaft in regular flex. Club is very long and forgiving but the shaft is quite flexy. Can work the ball more than 460 model.

I demoed this club last summer and was immediately hooked. I had a Cobra SS380 which it replaced. I will say the Cobra is also a great stick. The launcher feels perectly balanced and looks great at address. I have the NV-65S shaft. Long and straight, this head and shaft are the ticket.

Switched from Cleveland Launcher 330 to 400. Stayed at 8.5 degrees of loft. Went w/ Graffaloy Blue Stiff Shaft. This club is fantastic. Picked up probably 10 -15 yards of carry w/ the switch. Tee it high and let it fly. Optimal launch angle is obtained when impact is on top part of sweet spot. Put a good smooth swing on it and it moves on out w/ a fairly high yet flat trajectory. Forgiving on less than perfect hits.Wouldn't trade it now for anything.

I have used this club for 2 rounds and a few times at the range. Wow! When I hit the club on the screws it flies 10-20yds farther than my old quad pro driver. when I miss hit it, it goes almost as far as my old club did when hit correctly. When I really miss hit it my ball goes so far out of bounds there is no chance of find the ball. Great club, feels good at address and impact.

I recently played with a friend who had just bought a Launcher 400. He was out driving me on every hole and when we had played before he wasn't even close to being as long off the tee as me. I asked if I could hit one and he let me. Bam right down the middle of the fairway and long. That was it, I was sold. I picked one up on Ebay for about $180 with the stock Fuji shaft. I just finished my first round with it and I'm in love. I was hitting it straight almost every time and I've picked up around 15 yards average over my previous driver. My best shot of the day was a 318 yard drive in the center of the fairway today.

I just picked up a Launcher 400 9.5 degree with the stock gold stiff shaft used. Being a lefty sometimes makes it hard for me to find clubs to fit my swing characteristics. I swing about 110+ mph and hit the ball very high and sometimes very crooked. After hitting this club, I think I found the club to straighten me out. This club has a wonderful solid feel, and looks great at setup. Does not look as big as it is, which I really like. It sounds great at impact, and I love the deep face. I really feel like I'm destroying the ball with this club. This club wants to just go straight. Mis-hits don't lose much distance overall and they stay very straight. It is very difficult to hit a fade, draws are easier. The stock shaft is best for players with nice, smooth tempo, which I have when I'm swinging well. Quick swings may produce a hook. All in all this is a great club and inspires loads of confidence.

Taylor Made 300Ti. This club is much more difficult to hit, and punishes even slightly bad swings. Not as solid feeling as the Launcher, and doesn't sound as good. Club is excellent for trying to improve and fine tune your swing, and it is very easy to work the ball with it, however, I was losing too many strokes on the course by getting into trouble off the tee, so I needed something that was going to keep me in the fairway.

Great Driver for a cheap buy. Soft feel and great shaft (Aldila NV65s). Play (for my understanding) a little longer than Titleist. For me no choice: Cleveland!

I began testing different drivers about 2 months ago after one of my mates got himself a Titleist 983K. Now, I hit the ball a fair bit further than he does and when he gets this new driver and can now keep up with me. I realised it was time to upgrade my hawkeye vft. I tried his titleist, a great driver. I tried a Taylormade R510tp, pretty good too. I tried the Cleveland Launcher 400 and was sold. Apart from gaining 15 metres on solid shots, the best thing is the off centre shots which still fly 5 metres short of the good ones. I first tested the driver with the Gold shaft and couldnt keep the ball in play. With the optional Grafalloy Blue it is nearly impossible to miss the fairway. Moral to the story- try different shafts and you will find a great combination. One tiny complaint, it very hard to work the ball left or right, even trying to slice it. At best I'm getting a small fade or draw. Small price to pay on what is the best driver I've ever used.

I have my Launcher, stock Shaft. Good shaft for my swing speed 98-103. Hits the ball very straight, alittle hard to work the ball...so best just try to hit straight. Distance is very good (260-280)I Like the solid sound. Also had the Cobra 380 SS 9.0, which I hit alittle higher...not as much roll, Cobra sounds like a canon when you hit it..if you like that. I prefer the solid sound of the Cleveland. Best to tie the ball up very high and watch it go. I have also tried the Taylormade 510R TP, 757 shaft. Great shaft but expensive...able to work the ball better with Taylormade, but for me the distance is better with the Cleveland. Titliest 983K is also very solid...with the Speeder shaft
