Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher 400 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

New technology has made it possible for golf clubs to be more effective and powerful than ever before. The Launcher 400 has the technology of the original Launcher 330 with the added benefits that come from a larger clubhead. This great feeling driver produces a higher launch angle with lower backspin for more carry and increased roll, and also offers an increased moment of inertia which reduces the amount of lost distance on off-center hits. With these new technological advances come restrictions to keep the game fair and fun for golfers of all levels. The rules of golf dictate that a driver face can only offer a certain amount of spring-like effect known as the Coefficient of Restitution or C.O.R. The USGA has officially ruled that the maximum amount of C.O.R. allowed in a golf club is .830. The New Launcher 400 precisely meets this legal limit allowing you to post all of your scores. So, you'll be able to put this club into play in any tournament at any golf course and feel confident that you're getting the distance, the great feel and accuracy of the most technologically advanced club in the game.

What a driver. A firm swing sends the ball blistering into the distance. I normally hit the ball 260 and with a power fade aka slice and then this thing came along. I tend to be able to hit this 270-290 and am hitting 5 more fairways on average.

tested the Cleveland Launcher 460 and 400 at the local range, after parking the clubs for good part of the year and driving and spraying the balls all over the place. The launcher 460 with Aldila R-65 drew my attention on my first test pick. Very tight dispersion and execellent feedback. But requiring slightly higher tee due to the height of the driver. Opt for Launcher 400 and EI-70 combination for similar control and distance, with only 44 inches in length (used to use 47 inces driver). first testing on the only course I normally score 100+, reached low 90s; 2nd course, broke 90 only the second time, 3rd one 90, keeping balls in play on all the driving holes, all except two sit in the fairwayor the first cut, great club to boosting confidence. Both Cleveland heads with either EI-70 or Aldila NV shaft (maybe grafalloy blue too) give very stable feeling, you won't feel you are hitting a jumbo head; with the other shafts especially the stocked 55g version, you can sense the head rotation. Cleveland did a great job in designing the large head, feel like I am hittling a 350cc head, very compact and concentrated; wider head like Golfsmith Hi-cor make me feel the head rotation more, but certainly could be the shaft choice, feels more differences with the shaft choices! Hitting similar distance comparing to Snake Eyes Aermet (non-conforming, 10*, 47", phoenix thermo pro), golfsmith Hi-Cor (11.5*, 45", prolite 35) on the course, 200-230yards, my swing speed is 85-92mph

Very impressed with this driver. If 14 so I don't exactly bomb it off the tee (my average is 250-265) but this driver is very accurate, which is what we amateurs should be concerned about, and it really encourages you to accelerate through impact to get the max distance and accuracy. I recommend this driver to handicaps 0-30+. A bit pricy but 100 bucks less than Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, and other premium drivers. Good luck with your game!!!

People at Cleveland are very patient and they WILL stay with you until your clubs are fitted properly.

I picked up a pre-owned from local pro shop at US$ 145 in Malaysia (new club would cost about US$ 230). Original Fujikura R shaft, nothing wrong with it.... This driver is definitely the club for me, and value for money. I had my first game with this driver yesterday, I couldn't recall how many fairways I had hit.. sweet. Totally new and confident experience. And this club is long, with easy swing. I carded 90 in yesterday round, my best round in recent months, and can't wait for the next round...with many sleepless nights in between.. (R580 is just too expensive.. great marketing campaign though)

O.k. Heres' the thing, I play with an X-16 Callaway Iron set and its perfect, so I looked at the Callaway BB II+ driver. (I was determined to buy the Callaway even before entered the shop, afterall the ironset is perfect for me.) But it turned out that the Cleveland 400 Launcher, 10.5 degrees was the driver for me. (at half the price of the Callaway) Problem was, I always had trouble hitting my driver consistantly. Half the time I sliced the ball. And not being VJ Singh or Tiger, I just wanted to hit it straight and 200-220 meters and end up on the fairway 8 out of 10 times. It worked, I am now hitting at least 80% of my tee shots straight and even if I hit it slightly of the toe, it still hits the fairway with a slight slice. And boy does it go ! Hitting 240 meters plus, positively surprised, without giving away accuracy. This driver is very forgiving and it has certainly done the job for me. Not only has it given me a better chance to lower my handicap (after all, its more fun to hit the second shot of the fairway than having to drop a ball for a third shot) it has also given me more confidence off the tee. I also tried to Callway BB II+ but at a price of $400 I truly believe that the Cleveland is a better chioce at almost half the price. I can for sure recommend this driver to golfers with a handicap between 14-24. Claus

It is really a magic diver. I got the standard 400 9.5 degree with Gold shaft(s) but feel light and too soft at impact, ball is slice, not as straight as reported from others. After re-shart it will blue shaft(S) on last week and trial it on last weekend. It is perfect for me. Ball good straighter, with little draw. Very forgiving on miss hit. 90% with fairway hit at 260-280 yr. Though, it is not as far as my previous V700, but more consistance.

Got a demo-return on TGW after trying them out on the range. This is a club that gives novices confidence (with the big head and very forgiving contact), helps keep the ball straight and helps beginners get the ball in the air quick. On the course, I'm hitting this so much straighter than any other driver I've tried. In fact, have out driven some of my good golfer friends on couple of occasions! (80's 90's golfers). This isn't a magic club.. but sure helps free you from being too tense during drives.

Got this for a steal on Ebay. Already have the 983K and was hitting it pretty well. Got the Launcher and re-shafted with a Blue stiff shaft (much better than the stock Fuji) and it is now unbelievable. Took it to my regular course and couldn't believe the carry. Easily 10 yards longer than 983K and just as easy to control and work. Great trajectory-simply bores through the air and hits the ground hot. Not a lot of roll around S.C. right now because of recent rain, but was easily carrying the ball 255 to 265 consistently (a couple 275). I have the same thoughts as a previous reveiwer: I really wanted to like my K better but can't take this bomber out of the bag just yet. I just wish I would have got the Launcher before I dropped $375 on the Titleist.

Ok fellas heres the skinny...This club is the bomb. The only reason more tour pros dont play this club, is for no other reason than marketing dollars. This club is straighter, longer , more accurate, and more forgiving than Titleist,K cobra, Taylor made, Ping, Callaway etc... Look-my game is average at best, but I crush this thing. On an average round, I hit about 10 fairways, and average my drives about 260-270, with 2 or 3 about 300 yards or more..no joke. Everyone knows there is no secret club that will magically produce consistent straight long drives, but this club will easily be the most forgiving straightest longest driver you will ever hit. Keep the Fuji shaft, dont overswing , and enjoy!!

Roger Dunn offers a 90 day return policy on club purchases. I am sure that Bic and the staff at Roger Dunn were hoping I would find a driver soon because I was making daily stop-ins looking for a driver that I could hit with confidence. My problem was finding a driver that would minimize my slice. After spending countless hours, I've found my driver. For someone who is not a long hitter, I could not contain my ear-to-ear grin while consistently hitting straight 240 yard drives. For those of you who surf, I would compare my Cleveland driver to a magic board. I could not be happier. I can honestly recommend that you at least hit this club. It may not be magic for you, but it sure is for me.
