I have been playing the GBB 11° for five years, I went to the SteelHead because I feel that the 11° of my GGB was too much. I can tell you that the feeling is bad and the distance is shorter than my GBB. Apart from that I can hit it straight every shot. |

Found an unbelievable club for hitting it long and low; good club for the price, lost some distance from titanium. Similar Products Used: Callaway BBB, Goldwin XL(good club), Cobra Ti Deepface |

Steelhead is a bit shorter than I like, but its control is good. I hit it really well when I first started hitting with it, but my drives have not been as good since. Still a decent driver. Similar Products Used: Orlimar Trimetal, Taylor Made Burner |

Wow what a great club! I demo'd one today and couldn't believe how straight I hit this club. The flight of the ball off this club is low and STRAIGHT. If you're looking for a very forgiving driver try this one. And yes I did buy one. I tried the Titleist 975 and the big and great big and biggest big berthas and I liked this the best by far. This is a good price i was trying the m-10 shaft and it was way straighter than any Titanium so if you want a dead straight club get it. I have a ti 2 which is longer but not as straight but this is a great club. Similar Products Used: None |

I've not had a lot of luck consistantly hitting this club straight. I have a steelhead 3 wood that I can hit as hard or soft as I want and It always flies straight. I have the Memphis 10 steel shafts, on the range I was hitting balls, hit one off the heel and the shaft crumpled where the hozel would be. I put it back in the bag and pulled out the 3 wood hit a shot off the heel and it too crumpled??? Just a fluke? Customer Service Callaway Customer service seemed very suportive, they are supposed to be sending me replacement clubs, only problem is they are out of M 10 shafts so they have to wait until they arrive (they said about 10 days) Similar Products Used: None |

Great distance and feel initially. I've had club head speed measured at over 135 mph, and the first off center hit caused the face to collapse. (Not an isolated incident from what I understand) Probably a good club for shorter hitters. I replaced it with a Cobra Gravity Back with much better luck. Customer Service Customer service was excellent in replacing the driver for me even though Golfer's Warehouse wouldn't help me deal with them. A local pro (at Laurel View G.C.) helped me with contacting Callaway. Similar Products Used: Cobra Gravity Back Callaway Hawkeye Titelist 975D |
