I really want to know what people are doing to break this club. I work @ a golf course, play 27 holes daily, plus hit balls on the range on my lunch break, and the only damage I have done to this club is a small chip in the paint. The club I have has a steel shaft, not sure if that might have an effect on durability or not.

As far as the performance is concerned, this club is blue collar, meaning in that it is not going to do anything too spectacular (average drive 230 - 260), w/ good trajectory and decent directional forgiveness. When hit off the toe though, you do get a lame duck.

I think this club is perfect for the player that is looking to replace the driver they got in their first set. It isn't too shallow face (TL2, 3metal), and you don't feel like your swinging an airplane (anything Ti).

So, if your looking for a miracle, look elsewhere, but if your looking for a upgrade over a starter driver than try the steelhead +, if nothing else the sound will impress your friends.

Great club! Was concerned when I was reading about the face caving in but have be using this driver since May with no problems. Could it be that the people having problems with this club also are having problems with there swing? I would recomend this Driver to anyone looking for consistant shots.

I have had my Callaway Steelhead for about a month and am very satisfied with it. I especially like the sound and the feel. I really don't understand why all these people are saying that the club dents because mine hasn't. This is a very good club.

I bought the SteelHead to replace my (very long) Boom Boom. It gave me the intended accuracy, but left me 10-20yds back. I do not mind the lack of distance since I get to play from the short stuff.

Buyer Beware....The face will most likely dent. I am on my 3rd!

Cars are recalled, why can't drivers?

This is a good club for accuracy and even some distance. The sound is great but the grip feel funny. The shot must be lined up perfect or itll be bad. At first the club worked well but it gets dented. Im going to send it in because the shots are going nowhere. But its not that expensive and for the most part its agood club.

Customer Service

I got the club dented and emailed them.(Callaway) They were concerned and i still have to call to find out if theyll replace it.

I bought the driver with a steel shaft and then promptly reshafted it with a True Temper EI-70 shaft. This is an awesome set up. I have tried most every titanium driver on the market and this works for me the best. Long and straight and very forgiving. Don't get caught up in the uneducated hype of titanium. Unless your swing speed is pro level, the difference between titanium and steel is mostly in your head. Give this driver a try.

These drivers are nice and if you have a decent swing then you can easily hit this club straight. Accurate driver with decent distance and easy control.

Looking for a new Driver and the prices on these are great. Loyal Callaway user but have been playing Clevelad VASTi for several years. This driver was ver forgiving. A shot in the sweetspot really flies. I like the feel of the ball on the clubface more than the Cleveland.

Great Club! Very easy for me to work the ball off the tee with this club. First round playing with it I hit 11 of 12 fairways that I used it off the tee. The only adjustment I had to make was teeing the ball up higher.

I bought this club with the understanding that it would improve my accuracy with more forgiveness on improper impact. Over time I have improved my game quite a bit. I really thought that this club was working for me. My only two complaints are that I was being out driven by about 30 yards, and contact with the ball was very tricky. It never felt the same way twice. I never thought to try another club. One day I was at the driving range, and I decided to hit a few with a titanium war bird. What a difference. As soon as I can afford one for myself, I will get rid of the steel head.
Overall, the control is great, but if you looking for any distance, this club is not for you. Otherwise, you will get your monies worth, and then some.
