I love this club. I find it forgiving which I need because I am only 14. People are crazy to rate this club under 5. I only hit 210 off the tee until I got this club. Now I hit 240 off the tee. Thank you Callaway for making this great club.

I am your typical "weekend golfer." I have a decent long game but lack finesse in the short game due to insufficient practice. I purchased this driver mainly because I do not like the look of oversized titanium heads. To me, this club sets up behind the ball perfectly. The feel is solid and mis hits are not too costly. Distance is excellent...I can routinely hit drives between 260-280 yards with the occasional 300 yard bomb. I purchased this club with the graphite shaft even though all of my other clubs are steel. This shaft feels fine to me. Even though the head is 1 degree closed, I have not encountered any snaphooks. This is a very easy driver to hit the fairway with. Now only if I could score from 100 yards and in.

This club is a few years old, but I would try anything to get a drive to go straight. Bought this for $100 and never looked back. My buddy used to outdrive me with his Ping TiSi Driver. Not anymore. I swear I went from a weak 220 driver to a strong 260-280 yrd driver with this club. Truly the first driver I used that I can reach all the way back, and throttle forward and not worry about slicing or hooking. Great feel, weird sound but great club!

I have tailored off my rounds to about 2x month. But with this driver I can still hit it straight and long. The ball flies off the club-face and just keeps going. This is a great club for golfers switching from Titanium drivers.

Well lets start by saying I got a pretty good deal on this club or else I would have never tried it out, My old driver was a callaway warbird which I liked alot but never really hit it consistantly mostly slicing it on off center shots, but the first time I used the steelhead I actually started drawing the ball slightly which for myself was diffinately a change. Driving the ball was never the strongest part of my game, that would be my iron play, but with this driver I really look forward to stepping up to the tee, I'm hitting atleast 10 out of 14 fairways now as compared to maybe 7 of 14 with my warbird before. The benefits of this club I feel are more rewarded with a harder, faster swing, it may sound funny but the fact is its true atleast from what I've learn, I've been playing with it for 10 months now. If you like the warbird then this club is a really good upgrade and at a low price its hard to beat I see these things going on ebay at between $75-$125 all the time. Distance I've found is good about 5-10 yards further then my old club, probably due to the VFT technolgy, great tradition callaway sound at impact and one of the nicest paint jobs on a driver. The steelhead is not for everyone though its a players club and you may need to work out your swing before really appreciating this driver. Best driver I feel under 250cc and well under $200 brand new.

I have had this club for a couple of years. I am 6''2" 225lbs. Swing speed around 115mph. I have tried the 975D and the oversized Ping but always keep coming back to the steelhead plus. I describe it as an "old girlfriend" that you just can''t get rid of. I average around 275 yards or more off the tee with this club and can hit a draw, fade, or straight as a laser beam drive on command. Buyer beware...this club has a small head and needs to be hit on the screws for good results. It is not even close to being considered "forgiving" such as the new oversized titanium heads. I have finally come to the conclusion that this is the driver which works for me. It may not work for you, however the club is worth a demo at the least. Very good quality and you can''t beat the price.

I started with the original SH and some SH+ clubs. But all have broken at least once since I purchased them, but Callaway replaced them all with no questions, some more than once. If you swing fast, go get the uniflex steel- less likely to break. I really enjoy the clubs- when I''m really grooving the driver, a 10 deg, it goes 330+, and the 3 wood flies 250+. Very good ball flight and it comes off hot. The 5 and the 7 do their jobs very well and land softly. You''re not going to find clubs anywhere near these prices for these kinds of results.

Customer Service

Always good and prompt.

Great Club. Used to use irons off the tee because of lack of consistency. No longer a problem can now hit fairways with an average distant of 230. Have not had any problems yet and I high recommend the club.

I have owned this club for a year and continually have problems with my accuracy. I have recently switched to the Titleist 975J Pro Titanium and have been hitting the ball perfectly. The Callaway is short and inconsistant. I would not recommend this club to anyone.
