Callaway Steel Head Plus 9*
I was somewhat very disappointed when I first got this drive. I had the hooks and slices, big ones, too! After this club sitting in the bag for 6 months without hitting it, I took to a golf pro and he fitted the club with a Rifle Stiff 65 shaft. Since then I have been hitting it very well. The best of this club is to allow you to shape the shot. with a smaller head compared to other Ti heads, this club actually sound better, a crispy tingy when hit it properly. If you havae this club, give it a better shaft as the original is pretty crap! Customer Service Not used. Similar Products Used: HawkEye VFT and TaylorMade 200 series |

I am 13 years old,I got this club when I was 11.This is the purest and longest driver i've ever played.I would much rather play it than a big honkin' 425-450cc driver(yes i have played with one). The point is, if you can play you don't need a sweet spot the size of your hand that also means a slower swing speed(extra weight),and at $150 it's amuch better value. |

At the end of last year (Fall 02) I had a hard time chosing between the Taylor Made 200 series and the Steelhead Plus. I hit them both into the net at the golf shop and they seemed very close. I stopped by the golf shop in April and they had one Steelhead left 9* .....steel shaft..perfect..and the price was awesome $159 cdn..so around $100 US, i have been hitting my 3 wood off the tee for the last two years and was sick of being 20-30 yards behind my buddies every tee shot...now I'm 10-15 yards past them straight down the middle.. This club rocks..the first time hitting this club during a round I hit a 270 yard drive straight as an arrow..I have never had so much confidence over top of a club.. this club is now 3 years old but it has improved my score consideribly hit in the high 80's beginning the year.. I recently purchased the Steelhead Plus with a steel shaft and I was impressed with the results. Extremely forgiving driver, I can get 15-20 yards longer than my old driver.Toe hits still manage to go decently straight with fair distance. I love the sound this driver makes, it makes you know when you hit it good. I was also impressed with the way ball jumped off the clubface. I would have to say that Callaway produced a very impressive driver. Similar Products Used: Wilson Fat Shaft Cleveland Launcher Callaway Warbird |

This driver was on of the best drivers avalible when it came out but now the face is just to small and non-forgiving. It just can't keep up with today's technology. I still have mine but I won't have it much longer. Customer Service Great! I bent the shaft and they replaced it no questions asked. Similar Products Used: nothing I have used is like it. |

I got the M-10 Steel shaft this is slightly shorter than the graphite but it adds didstance and accuracy this club is the best driver i have ever used its soooo accurate i have a high club speed and if you connect sweetly 300+ yrds i went from hitting 250 to 270-300 yrds. This is perfect for any level. not very forgiving u have to get the tee size just right=. But with practice....... Its amazing. Great stuff.... And the sound-Hmmmmn nicest sounding driver i ever used Customer Service never experienced. but im sure its excellent as all the callaway products are Similar Products Used: Svp Steel, Taylor Made 360 and 200 seies, Cleveland Launcher, Taylor made Xr-03, Hawkeye VFT, King Cobra Super ti |

Steelhead plus 9deg driver
After using a Callaway Big Bertha WarBird 9 degree with firm flex shaft for a few years now, I made the plunge and picked up the deal of a century off E-bay. I averaged 275-280 off the tee with the WarBird, but i've picked up at LEAST 35-40 yards with the new Steelhead driver. Not only does it sound good coming off the face, but a slow fluid swing will result in maximum results. And, if you feel the need, swinging out of your shoes adds a few yards. I went to the range when i first recieved the club, and found in extremely easy to hit. Almost too easy. It's very easy to shape with as well, left to right, as well as a nice 4 yard fade. And, if you see a par 4 that's 325ish, you can grip it a little tighter, and swing for the fences without worrying that it's going to end up in the tall stuff. This is by far the straightest driver i have ever hit, hands down. Snap one up, you won't be disappointed. Customer Service Haven't needed it yet, but knock on wood (poor pun, sorry ;)) Similar Products Used: Callway Big Bertha Warbird 9 degree Taylor Made Ti Bubble Ping Metal wood |

I have been playin golf for 6 months now and just switched to the steelhead plus. I was not lookin for a big headed driver because i am only 14. This driver eisaly gives me 20-30 yards more the usual. I am now hitting the ball 240-255 yards. Callaway did a great job making this club. Customer Service None |

I bought my Steelhead Plus 2 years ago and have played it (and severel others) enough times to say: It has ruined enough otherwise nice golf days for me ... This is not a good driver ! It balloons off the tee and drop dead (- it ought to be marketed as ”The world’s longest hitting wedge” !). The sweet spot is small and mis-hits are severely punished. It is inconsistent. This is the perfect gift for your worst enemy: It ruins all confindence ... ! Well ... – I just don’t like this one !
