I used to hit the Callaway Warbirds when they first came out. Very forgiving and the length was fine (I'm used to driving about 280 yards on average, but my short game could use some work :-)

I laid off the game for 3 years and just came back into it several months ago. I played the first model Taylor Made Bubble Burner with a 9.5 Deg face. I would hit that all over the place. Went to my local golf shop and they let me demo these clubs, from my previous expierence I said why not?!?!

Let me tell you, the Steel Head was great!!! The feel at impact was good and I like the hollow pinging sound it makes on contact. I couldn't wait to take it to the driving range. So I bought the club and headed for the range. To my astonishment my drives where going low and straight, I normally have a high trajectory. I didn't feel as if I had to swing out of my shoes, and with the shorter shaft I got the control I need.

Great driver and for the price you can't beat it, I recommend this driver to all beginners, and people starting to come back into their game from long lay-offs; also, if you're already a long hitter the loss of 10 yards on your drive is compensation enough for the added control!

While it's a solid feeling club, it lacks the distance I would like to see with my drives.

A useful club to have- very easy to hit and forgiving. Nice sound when you strike the sweetspot. I recommend it you try it. I am changing my other utility woods to Callaway Steelhead Plus - very expensive though but worth it.

Great ! The 3# is a very nice "safe" driver with only 20-30 metres loss in distance. Close your eyes and hit the 5# off the deck 170-180 metres straight. What more can you expect of fairway woods ? Yeah, the sound is electrifying !

Best three wood ever hit. At first I was not sure about the uniflex shaft, especially with my swing speed, but I have had nothing but good results with this club. First, it is very forgiving, if you catch one on the toe or heel you might lose a little distance but your will still be in the fairway. Catch one on the screws and you will be rewarded beautifully. Which brings me to my next point. This is a very long 3wd. I am consistently carrying it 250-270.
Finally, the price is not too bad especially w/the steel shaft. For 159.00 it has been worth every penny.

This driver has added length and accuracy to my game. For a fairly modest investment, I can now hit 280 yard drives straight up the middle, something I couldn't always brag about. If I know a high quality, brand-name driver could help my game this much, I would have bought one long ago.

Great club I hit it down the fairway nearly every time. It took a while to get used to but when you do you'll hit long and very straight drives. Im 14 and dont usually hit very long drives but when i started hitting this club good my drives went up nearly 40 to 50 yards (which i hit 260 to 270 yard drives now) from my previous driver which i guess was a wal-mart brand club that could explain it

I had trouble with the Memphis 10 steel shaft so I went to a UST Pro-Force 65 gold Stiff and I can destroy it. The club doesn't have as much ball flight as I desired, but it lands hot and gets plenty of roll. A pretty forgiving club with distance.

This club is much better than the steelhead because of its face thickness. Now, a better ball flight is granted and the lines on the face make it easier to square the face aqt impact. Plus, you wont implode the face like the model did.

Customer Service

Great! I caved in the face on my steelhead and they sent me the + driver.

Did not like the club, the head was much smaller compared to other clubs, It made the club very unforgiving, a bad drive was a really bad drive. Do not recommend club....
