Extremely accurate and consistant. Averaging 250-260 (and squeak out an occational bomb). I find this is a very forgiving club. Feedback is good. I can tell right away where I hit it on the face and what I've done wrong. I too could hit 'em 275+ with the biggest big bertha (or any other of the titaniums for that matter) , but only 1 out of 5 were in the fairway. The accuracy more than makes up for the loss of distance. I've changed my tune when it comes to titanium.

I got this club about a year ago. The only time I run into trouble with this club is when I try to muscle up. It often turns into a snap hook. I've since added the 3 to my bag and find both to be very playable.

I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to improve their accuracy without a huge loss of distance.

I wish I could claim that I now average 300 yard drives, but I can't. I will say that I have demoed more drivers than the average golfer ever will. The steelhead plus was a pleasant surprise. I too have fallen into the almighty titanium theory.Well,I am once again WRONG.This callaway driver is the most accurate driver I have ever experienced.I love the way it sets up to the ball and the trajectory and roll more than makes up for the height and carry a titanium driver provides. The "ting" sound when struck does take some getting used too.But the overall performance is what I have been personally looking for for some time.I will gladly trade 10 yards for the accuracy this club provides.Thank you Callaway !!!

Model Reviewed: Callaway Steelhead Plus 11 deg

This driver is the best one for my game. I have been using it for a couple of months now and my accurate driving from the tee box has helped shave off almost 6 strokes of my game. I use a steel shaft with a 11 deg loft. This club has virutally eliminated my slicing. I have tried other callaway drivers with grahite shafts but this steelhead is the best of the lot (for my game atleast). I get an average of about 250 yards on every drive and have even samshed it beyond 300 with roll. The best part is that 9 out of 10 shots stay straight. With this cliub hooks and slices are not as damaging when I mishit. For some reason the ball does not spiral out of control on a bad shot. Another thing that has helped me is the short shaft length of this club. Other drivers that I have tried have always been a little to long for me. I recommend this club to anyone who has trouble hitting graphite shaft drivers. Also, those of you who might be members of the Amercian Express rewards program you can redeem 20,000 points and get this club. Thats what I did and I could not be happier.

This is a great club. Got tired of the graphite/ titanium game and simplified. Imay have lost a few yards off my max. drive distance but my avg. yardage is up due to increased control. I can actually feel the clubhead through the entire swing and the ball jumps off the face similair to a titanium face. Much more pop than other steel faces.

This is a great club. I dont know why so many people think this clubs sucks, maybe its your swing. When i first hit this club i couldnt hit it very well. Then after a bucket at the range i learnt how to hit it and now i am launching them clean, and far. I would recommend this club to anyone thats looking in the market for a new driver.

Disappointing. Love the 3 wood - best 3 wood I ever had, but the driver just wasn't the same.

Drives were short (230 - 240 +/-), and erractic. Played about 12 rounds and many hours on the driving range, but I just couldn't dial it in.

Went back to my McHenry 10.5 and traded the Steelhead + for Titleist 975F 5 wood.

I bought this club after hitting my friend's Steelhead Plus 3 Wood & Great Big Berth Driver with great success. Needless to say, I was extrememly disappointed. I played about 20 rounds with it and hit 2 decent drives. It might have been a problem with the shaft, but the ball would come off the driver in an inconsistent manner. Some shots would snap left, some right, and some would only go 200 yards. I went back to a no name 3-Wood, which I can consistently hit 225-250 straight. I have to say I am extremely disappointed in this driver & ended up selling it.

I started golfing last year and bought the Stealhead+ after trying my friend's old Stealhead. I sucked at it when I first had it because I was hitting it too hard. I had 4 games this year and am appreciating this driver more and more. I'm now hitting the driver with very little force ("feather light" is the word to describe it) and the ball went the furthest of my foursome, almost everytime. I guess I can finally say I'm hitting in the 90s. Also the nice "ding" sound alway received WOWs from people around me.

Wow, this club is awesome, good to look at. I hit it straight, long, and at a perfect height. I LOVE THIS CLUB, it helped me win 200$ from my bud. If you want a new driver that will actually help you with your game get this club, but if your a beginner, use your money for lessons, and watch the greats like tiger woods (unless your rich that is).
