I bought this club because it is the only club I have recently hit that I can look down at and feel halfway confident. Of course I had to get a thin faced driver to keep up with my competition, so a new club was a must. Aesthetics play a big part in my club choice and this one looks great. It sounds great, and the ball feels great. Especially when you hit it on the screws!! I liked the look of the Nike, but I dont see how I could ever play Nike anything. After all, hardly anyone on tour is anyway. Plus it just sounded bad. Seemed to be too flat. For the money, since they dropped the price, I dont think there is a better club out there. I did reshaft it with a Graffaloy Pro Lite 35+. Its just an awesome shaft and Callaway has yet to impress me with any of theirs. If you want to hit more fairways, get a club that builds confidence. This one does it!

Wow! What a club. I normally hit my driver 220 but with this I can carry it about 350 yrds plus! Believe that? Well, look at this - here's rickr from NJ in a previous review: "Played this club in Texas for the first time. Usually hit in 280 to 300 yd range with that driver, but the VFT was literally out of sight. On successive holes hit my two best drives ever: 374 and then 388. I testing it against my Titleist and the new Nike Forged." Yeah right. I'm so tired of reading these pumped up, self-promoting reviews. I tell you what rick, we'll go out to the range and I'll let you hit all day long - I'll give you a $100 every time you hit one over 300 and you give me $10 every time you don't. I'd be rich by the end of the day. I'm sure you hit it 388 - was it a frozen lake - or 388 feet? Come on people, there are actually golfers here trying to get some decent information to make an informed decision - help us out a little will you?

i think its a pretty good club. I hit the Ping Tisi Tec right now. It's a demo from the clubhouse that i work at. I think i hit both of them pretty good just dont like spending over one hundred dollars more for the ping. i can feel the sweet spot in this thing too.

this club is probably great for people with higher handicaps. i shoot in the low 80's and normally drive the ball with a slight draw. however, with this club (it has a built in draw bias) i hit nothing but duck hooks. cobra ss427 was much better for me but u gotta test em all out to find out which one is right for you. the price did just get dropped to $270 though so u might wanna give this club a try.

this driver is a must-have for golfers shooting in the mid 80's and 70's. it is extremely forgiving and easy to control your ball flight. either draw or fade can be done easily. i have used it for a month or so, and have increased my drives by 40 yards, and accuracy by god knows how much...so if you have the money and look to improve..this will help.. :-)

I finally found a driver that I can hit. I was hitting the Taylor Made Ti Bubble for the past few years, and I was never very comfortable with it. Everything seemed to fly off to the right and it was definitely not as long as this club (Couldn't be operator error, could it?) Another thing that I did was get it reshafted to my swing type and that helped tremendously. I generally hit my drives about 240 yards, but sometimes I can really catch this club and hit it about 30 -40 yards longer. I am not sure if it was the club, the shaft, or both. All I know is that this club is forgiving and makes me much more confident on the box.

Great club.Hitting it 250 to 280 with no effort(I don't hit the ball hard).I understand why people don't like the club but it's "horses for courses".Don't buy a club without trying it first and,if possible, get a custom fit.Buy what suits you.(I hate Ping, can't hit them, dosen't mean their bad clubs.Just don't suit me!)

Just replaced my old war bird with the VFT. What a difference technology makes. This is a long and forgiving club. Do not listen to the bad reviews. There is NO club that will cure a duck hook or banana slice. If you have a solid swing, you will like this club. Added 40 yards to my drives on average.

I had high expectations when I tested the Hawkeye VFT. I hit the Steelhead IIIs very well and eventually bought one. However, the VFT driver just didn't work for me. Perhaps the club was too light, but somehow I just could not manage a good swing. Even my best swings resulted in severe hooks. I recommend the Steelhead III without hesitation, but I'd pass on the VFT driver.

Played this club in Texas for the first time. I'm a 5 handicap and hit Titleist 975R with True Temper Stiff shafts. Usually hit in 280 to 300 yd range with that driver, but the VFT was literally out of sight. On successive holes hit my two best drives ever: 374 and then 388. The club still seemed weird with its clinky sound and graphite shaft-- but it may make a believer of me yet. I testing it against my Titleist and the new Nike Forged.
