I''ve bought this driver used so I had no choice but the one with 9 degree loft,my previous one was the GBB 11? and it''s been in my bag for 5 years, just couldn''t find any driver to replace it (it was so reliable and too good to switch to newer techno club)Until one day,my friend started to outdrive me using his new ERC II then it''s time My first experience at the range with the VFT was not impressive,no distance added, not forgiving, harder to hit compare to the GBB but after the third time at the range and 2 rounds in the real course I started to fell in love with the VFT.The only adjustment I made is to tee the ball higher then the magic come, straighter, more prenatrating ball flight and yes significantly farther off the sweet spot without any swing adjustment I must agree with some of the reviews that recommend VFT with higher loft for me the 9 degree works well with high tee

Excellent club! Demo''d this club and the ERC II at a demo event. They both were long! Didn''t see that much loss in distance between the two. Originally I had an x-stiff shaft in the VFT, but replaced it with the ProForce 65. Man....is this club still legal? It''s now the club that I put the least effort in hitting. I''m a hard swinger, but it''s very unnecessary with this club. If you hit it decently it just goes by itself--very automatic. All this club needs is a body, two arms, a shoulder turn, a tee, and a ball--now watch it work!! Note: For those of you who already hit a draw, you would prefer a Pro Series model over the regular VFT!

Customer Service

Always a delight and above any standard you might have previously encountered.

Gosh the DEMO was GREAT!! Got my club and it had a hook face. Couldn''t hit it for anything. Sent it back THREE times! Always had a closed face. Measured it against the demo club finally and all the pro could say was that all three drivers I had werer probably assembled improperly. For $400.00 bucks you think they could glue these things together right the first time. Finally gave up and swapped the pro for an Adams ST. Having played the original Big Bertha and their S2H2 irons in the past I was shocked at the shabby QC. Have to say I am gun shy of anything Callaway now. Think Callaway is mostly hype, and bad quality doesn''t support the "image" thing they project. Feel ripped off. Wouldn''t send them a check again...

Well, I have to say the VFT is awesome. I was abit tenative about the reviews I read here but decided to purchased it anyway. I simple love the club. I hit it around 25-30 yds further than the Warbird. I do recommend the firm shaft. Even if your considering the regular shaft.

This is a strange club. When you hit it on the sweet spot, the ball really does take off. But I don''t think it''s quite as forgiving as a lot of folks say it is. I have reached a few pretty long par 5s in two with this club, but mis-hits don''t seem to go all that far (but then, should they?) I have the Pro Series 10.5* with the Tour Regular shaft which is quite stiff for a "regular" but I like it a lot. It just seems like you better hit the sweet spot with just the right swing if you expect the spectacular results others have been talking about.

Great Club, a little expensive, but a great club. Better than the Hawkeye it replaces. Every thing is better, no complaints. Try it and you will be sold.
The others are wrong it is very forgiving, it is not a players club. True off center hits result in a few lost yards, but hit the center and look out. I think that difference is what fools people.

This is a good driver. I demoed it at golf galaxy, and if you've been there you know their state of the art demo facility. I would agree that this is no ordinary callaway. From my experience the club doesn't have much in terms of feel, or the well known callaway forgiveness, but this is a club for confident good ball strikers. The club can return amazing distance, and if i had more time with it I'm sure I would have had to buy it (cus its that good). I tested the ERC2 but i didn't see a significant difference. You just have to know if its the club for you. (Also for wedges try the TA900 clevelands, they're forged and its piece of cake to shoot tiny target circles)

Awesome club, how can people possibly complain about this club? It is so much batter than the orginal Hawk-Eye; Better shaft, better grip, same forgiveness, longer due to lower more boring ball flight. Face it - this is the best...Yes the price is high, but so is every else these days.

Customer Service

Best I have experianced.

This driver is very good. It feels alot like the persimmon louisville wood I had awhile back. If you hit it in the screws you get a soft buttery feeling and the ball goes long. If you hit it off center it feels hard and the ball travels about 20 yards shorter than it should. (still on line though). I guess what that tells you is hit it well. You can't mess around and hit it anywhere on the face, that being said the sweetspot is more than generous, it is approximately a 2 inch square. Given that the face is two inches high and 3 and a quarter inches wide I think people should stop bitching about off center hits being so short and just learn how to strike the ball well. Give it a little time and see how you feel about it. I dig it.

Customer Service

I had a GBB that had a piece of metal come loose in it and they replaced it no questions asked.
