I can''t say that i''m a great golfer, but i can say this: swinging over the top with this driver will produce a ridiculous duck hook, however making an effort to realign one''s swing plane properly makes a world of difference. I first hit repeated hooks, which carrying a $400 price tag was QUITE disconcerting. Anyway, I started making a swing which in some way resembled one for golf and sure enough theres that demonstrably superior and pleasingly different whathaveyou that Callaway brags about. not 300 yards, but then what is? Customer Service havn''t needed them, but i know people who have had 2, even 3 replaced clubs. Similar Products Used: Great Big Bertha, Biggest Big, Kunnan |

None Been in the market for a driver for sometime...finally decided on the VFT 8.5--with hesitation. all reviews I read were neagtive & said not to buy this driver. I absolutely love it. I had trouble hitting it a first but I now that i''m used to it I find it to have great feel & explosive distance. Shaft is a little too stiff for most...might want to switch to the Proforce 65 or the like. True, it''s not to great on bad shots but really...what driver is? Customer Service very informative. Callaway Hawk Eye VFT 10 degree R shaft
Strength:
None I had the Hawk Eye VFT for only a week. I could hardy use it during my first game....it was hooking and slicing uncontrollably. Thought it was because of the whippy Regular shaft, after reading all the reviews/criticisms. Unperturbed, I went to the driving range and worked on some minor changes - then voila..90% of my drives are now right in the middle!! The other 10% aren''t too bad either. The secret - widen your stance, flatten and slowdown your takeaway, make a full body turn, then follow thru completely. You will be amazed about the result!! I''m now getting around 20-30 metres more distance than my old Bubble driver (I''m now averaging 240 metres) with more consistent results!! Work on the minor setup & swing changes and you will discover that the Hawk Eye VFT is a winner! Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Bubble(I) Titanium 10.5 degree S |

VFT 9 Degree, Strong Shaft

None Great weapon to have in the bag. This goes so hard off the face and hunts when the ball hits the fairway. You can tee it lower to bore one into the wind or peg it up high and hit it on the up downwind for serious hang time. I''ve easily incresed my length off the tee by 20-30 metres, as well as hitting more fairways. Good value from miss hits too. Similar Products Used: None |

None Best Driver Ever, hands down. I played the 975D until I borrowed a VFT from a playing partner... haven''t hit the 975D since. High trajectory, deep face, can use those long tees - tee it high let it fly. And yes, I do hit this bad boy 300 yds. - not every time, sometimes 270 is all you need. Similar Products Used: 975D |

Callaway VFT 10 Degree Driver, Firm Shaft
Strength:
None I was very hesitant in my purchase, as I had read so many bad reviews of this club. However, I had such outstanding results with the VFT fairway woods(by far the best I have ever hit) that I was tempted to try the driver. First of all, the system 60 shaft is a much better shaft than previous Callaway offerings. In fact, I would rate it as the most stable OEM shaft available( I have tried Taylormade, Ping, Titleist)I can really go after the ball if I choose to. The 10 degree loft is more than I normally play, but it does lift the ball on a pleasing trajectory with control. There is definite draw bias, but widening my stance eliminated any extreme tendency to the left. For me, the distance was longer than the Taylormade 360 8.5 degree with better trajectory and even more roll. This club in the right loft is hard to beat. I have heard all othe talk about having hit this club on the sweet spot in order to get good results, but I just have not seen this. This driver is as forgiving as any driver that I have hit. Customer Service Callaway Customer service is better than Ping''s, and that is saying a lot. Similar Products Used: Taylormade 360, Callaway Hawkeye, Ping Tisi |

VFT 10 degree Regular
Strength:
None
Weakness:
None I bought the VFT 10 degree regular and sold it after 3 months. This is the longest driver that I have ever hit, but it is the most inconsistent driver that I had due to the close face. There are only two results from this driver, over 250 yards right in the fairway or 210 yards on the left rough, bushes or trees. I have played BB, GBB, BBB, Hawkeye and VFT, all 10 degree. The ball flight of VFT is very different from the previous models, it is so low that I can hit top spin. As I read through some of the reviews here and based on my own experience. I have to say VFT is a great club if you happen to get the one with the right loft and face angle. In my case, I should play the 11 degree although I have played the 10 degree for all my Callaway drivers. During that 3 months I have hit so many drives over 270 yards and average about 250 yards with my good drives, considered that I average no more than 230 yards before, I gained about 20 yards on my driver. The biggest problem is accuracy, I was so frustrated with the big hook, that I decided to sell it. After the VFT, I also bought HipTi and finally settle with Launcher, both club are not as long as VFT, within 10 yards, but a lot more consistent. I think all of them are very good clubs, technology does give you an edge over the old one. Although I had some bad experience with VFT, but some of my friend love it, it is definitely worth looking. None My daughter, 15 with a 1.3 handicap tryed the vft and and was inconsistant. She went to the vft pro 9* and was still snap hooking and/or hitting balls with top spin. the good shots were streight and far. Last week we reshafted and that solved the problem! This is another great callaway club with a junk callaway shaft. If you have active hands in your swing (yes some scratch players do!) you will have a problem with this club! Do yourself a favor BUY THIS CLUB, have it reshafted and tell them to spine aline the new shaft. Customer Service they are helpfull but take awhile.
