Callaway VFT 11 Deg
I like this club. Just recently purchased it. Have played a couple of rounds with it so far and find it pretty easy to keep in play. Not the longest driver I have hit but the length is more than adequate. And love the accuracy. When I first got it had problems with hooking the ball. But with experimentation on the range I found that if I moved the ball back in my stance just a bit I could hit it straight as an arrow. Had been playing a Ping ISI the last few months and the more i played it the more I sliced it. Loved the look of the ping but it was not the club for me. Reluctantly traded it for the VFT and have never been happier. Try it for yourself and see. You may need at least 1 or 2 degrees more loft than you use with other drivers. I got and 11 deg and certainly dont hit it too high. Customer Service never used it, but have heard good things about it Similar Products Used: Ping isi, Callaway Steelhead |

The 3 wood version of this club is the best I''ve ever hit no question. It is as long as many drivers yet still good of the deck as well. Since I started hitting my vft 3wood I''ve out driven many of my playing partners good drives. I have not personally hit the VFT Driver because I''m happy with my 975J but I can tell that the VFT 3wood is the best, hottest, longest 3 wood out there. There definitely is a draw bias which I like because I''m a fader of the ball and I can hit this club when a need to take one slice completely out of the picture. I can hit this club 270 with solid contact and a smooth swing. I just don''t know if the Driver is anywhere near as forgiving as the 3 wood. This driver is exceptional and better than the half loft because the shaft has lower torque and therefore all my drives were in closer landing area. It has good loft but doesn''t give too much roll. Better than taylor made 300''s because isn''t a "PANCAKE FACE" driver. Customer Service excellent Similar Products Used: taylor made 300 |

Callaway VFT
I have heard from many people how good the VFT is, so being an avid Callaway user, I dumped my Biggest Big Bertha off (Which I may add, I was hitting very well) for the Hawkeye VFT. I got the club, and began play, I lost close to 20 Yards off my drive, and began topping all my shots. Some suggested that I needed to get a new shaft, so, I tried a VFT that had the exact same face, but a different Graffalloy Regular Flex shaft. Still the same results, dead off the initail contact, and MANY, MANY tops. Also, I noticed there was alot of reverb off the inital contact coming up the shaft. I must admit, that indeed when I did make solid contact, it went straight, and far, but that was few and far between, and when I made contact, besides the tops, it still went straight. Needless to say, I have since dumped the VFT and have gone with the Next Gen. Club, the C4, which I LOVE!!! This C4 may very well be the best club I have ever owned. This club has a very high learning curve. Good shots are possible with the VFT but it becomes too physically demanding to produce the good shots consistently. Forget about trying to shape shots, your just trying to make good contact with this club. You could be shooting low then all of a sudden for no apparent reason, you hit a duck hook OB. I don''t think it matters what handicap you are, nobody I know that is a low handicap to high handicap can hit this club well consistently. Customer Service Don''t know. Callaway VFT Pro Series 10.5 degree driver
After reading all the negative reviews, I was reluctant to puchase this club, but I''m glad I didn''t listen to these. I hit this club for the first time today and I love it. People make it sound like it is hard to hit, but its not at all. Even on off-center hits the ball goes a pretty good ways. I hit this club very well and it is hard to believe how others can''t. Vft 9* Firm
I''m a 5 handicap and hit this club about 275 average. THe firm flex is more like a regular. This club helped me gain about 15 yards over my Ping Tisi. The hi C.O.R face on this driver gives it top-notch distance while the shaft gives good feel. Would recommend to players committed to maintaing a good swing-because if you don''t this driver can be difficult to hit. Good driver from Callaway that putts major hang time on the ball, and isn''t too large but has a monster sized face. Oh, don''t try to hit it off the deck! Customer Service they will replace any Callaway screwed club! Similar Products Used: Ping Tisi, Hawkeye, Taylor Made 360, Titleist 975J, |

Very ordinary driver. Not a real good effort by Callaway. The Great Big Bertha and Hawkeye lines are better clubs for feel and control. Bottom line - there are a lot better drivers available on the market than this one. Customer Service Never used Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 320 Callaway Great Big Bertha |

I just bought this driver with a penlry x stiff in it. I hit about 50 balls and most of the time they were lame duck hooks.I believe it could be the shaft, and I read that you need 120 mph for x stiff.I owned the non pro and I hooked now and then so that is why I bought the pro because it has a square face.I believe that I should be able to hit this club with a softer shaft.I would reccomend it as long as you are fitted with the right shaft. Customer Service very friendly Similar Products Used: hawkeye non pro, hawkeye pro |

Callaway VFT Pro Series 8.5 Tour X-Stiff
I must say that I was hesitant in purchasing this club after reading all the negative reviews. Thankfully, my local Golf USA has a policy of returning a club for a full refund if not satisfied. I originally purchased a 9.5 degree pro series with a H65 tour stiff shaft. I found the ball flight too high and balooning, especially for a high kick point shaft. I consistantly hit drives of 240 yards with no roll. I then exchanged this driver for an 8.5 degree with a H65 Tour X-Stiff shaft. The ball flight was much more penetrating and desireable. I was also rewarded with an extra 10-15 yards of roll. I like this club and am going to keep it. In the 3 rounds I have played this club I am consisently in the 265-270 yard range. As with all clubs, non-center hits resulted in a loss of around 40 yards on average. The only reason I wouldn''t give this club the highest rating allowed here is because of price. Customer Service Calling Callaway and asking a question about their shaft flex ratings is like pulling teeth. I was quoted the following for H65 shafts, Tour Regular 85-95 mph, Tour Stiff 95-105 mph and Tour X-Stiff 1 Similar Products Used: Orlimar HipTI 8.5, Callaway GBB Hawkeye TI |
