Bought used at a local pro shop with a firm factory shaft. Head actually spec'ed out at 5* and did a great job keeping the trajectory down and promoting LONG, rolling drives. Reshafted with a UST PF75 which helped with control. Decided to sell when I started missing the fairway 50% of the time and hit an Integra L-1. Good driver for a strong swinger with a high launch angle.

I've tried this club a number of times- it belongs to one of my golfing parters- with pretty good results. Club feels very "hot"- ball explodes off face. Tends to produce a bit more fade than I like- big clubhead is a bit tough to manuver. Very expensive!

This is one sweet driver. Very forgiving and nice and long. I reshafted with an Odyessy Ultralite (Stiff, lower torque pnt. than Grafalloy) and a WINN grip which has proven to be a perfect combination. It's changed me from someone who hits their 3 wood 225 (with a fade) off the tee to a straight 275-300 yard driver. I hit the Hawkeye, but way too pricy and has a tendency to hook. For the $$$ you can't go wrong with a GBB. ***Talk to a pro and find out the right shaft for your game.***

First thing you should do is swap out the UL shaft for one of better quality, like an EI-70 or graffloy prolite. As with all callaways, the face is slightly shut at address to help the slicers, which will promote a draw or enhance a hook. Distance is above average. You can pick up a used one pretty cheap.

I installed a true temper EI-70 shaft and it is the best club I've ever touched. It's straight, and I can take rips at it when I need and it stays straight and very workable.

Not the newest, but still the best!! Got a great deal on a slightly used one with 9 degrees of loft and a Grafalloy Prolite 35 reg. flex shaft. 1st time on the range I hit it so-so. For most of the second time, more of the same, just wasn't consistent(was hitting low push-hooks)Towards the end I decided to make my swing plane a little more upright and BINGO I started hitting it well. 230-240 fairly straight and now I'm smitten with this thing!

Been using the Callaway Great Big Bertha for a couple years. Switch between the 7.5* and 8*. Reshaft all my drivers with secondary market graphite shafts, pick up as many as 15 yards. Use Fujikura and ProForce 65 gold. Use a Professional club maker to use frequency when reshafting, much more precise. Stiff driver would be about 256 CPM's. Really think the weight, head size, distance, and shaft options are endless with this club. Highly recommend, and have used many different brands over the years. Ping is the best alternative for distance, but swing smooth.

I've only played it for two rounds but from what I've experienced, I won't be parting with this great driver for awhile. It's hits a mile and is accurate. You should be able to find it for a good deal online.

Have used this driver for about 2 years and it's the best they ever made. The Biggest Big Bertha was too hard to control. I shoot in the low 100's and I am very confident every time I step up to the tee. Last year I bought a second one at clearance to have a backup. Recently had it cut down one half inch and I can hit it even further. Have tried the new Hawkeye Driver and still prefer this one. If you can find one around, it's the best bargain you'll find!
