I'm a 10 with a generally strong short game, driving always the weakest part of my game. As others have mentioned, club has a very light feel; I added a 1/2" extension and a winn grip, which gets swingweight up to ~D4. Love it, long and forgiving. Not the longest out there I am sure, but gives me a lot of confidence I will keep it in the short grass.

Customer Service

Excellent. Took about 5 weeks to receive, not bad considering I had to go thru both American Express and Callaway.

It is obvious, and you do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that a graphite driver will NOT produce the CLINGING sound that a Titanium driver makes. So those of you complaining and writing bad reviews about the muted sound are needless to say not very intelligent...what did you expect from a graphite driver? I consistently shoot in the very low 80's to high 70's and have tried a tremendous amount of drivers throughout the 26 years I have been playing. This club sets up very nicely and square at address, it does not have a hook face like most of the other drivers out there. I honestly do not know why manufacturers cater to just high handicapers...they should at least offer drivers with different face configurations like Ping does. They obviously make them because that is what the touring pros use and they should give the consumer the choice. The club is very forgiving, very light and very easy to swing...it definitely increases club head speed generating longer drives just like Callaway advertises. The stock shaft seems to have low torque and complements the club very well. If you wan't a very forgiving, very long hitting driver then don't hesitate to buy it.

Last week went to my club and callaway had a tent stationed there with the new C4 Driver. I walked up to the guys there and within seconds they had me trying the C4 on the range. The guy was very precise and told me to tee it up high. He kept saying "just put the tee barely into the ground." (I do that now with my Cleveland Launcher) Well I hit the club straight and long. Felt good too. My swing speed is 95-96 mph (they had a radar there) and I was landing the ball about 235 out...before any roll. The problem?? I hit my Cleveland Launcher The same way as I hit this club. Why spend $450.00 for a club that does the EXACT SAME THING as the one I already own? I liked the callaway, but I belive it's overpriced. Anyway, for the guy who said that us 80 shooters are not for real...I'll have you know that I consistently shoot in the lower 80's with my Launcher. The Callaway C4 is not the answer for all.

This is one of the best drivers I have ever swung. It is long and consistant if you have a good swing. It is not going to correct any hacker type errors that make for inconsistant drives. Once again Callaway produced a gem that is being knocked by hackers who would be better served to buy a 150 dollar set from walmart. Shooting in 80s once does not mean you shoot in the eighties. If you cannot hit this driver straight you cannot hit any driver straight. So take your natural golf swing and kallasy swing magic to the range and practice hack. And quit playing in front of me. And when you are in front of me and one bounces twenty from the green while you are three putting remember that was hit by a "piece of crap" C-4. Go Practice please.

I BOUGHT THIS CLUB ON A LARK - I HEARD THE TECHNOLOGY ON IT WAS IMPRESSIVE. SO FAR, IT HAS MORE THAN MET MY EXPECTATIONS. IT IS EXTREMELY FORGIVING. JUST FOR FUN, I WOULD TRY TO HIT SHOTS OFF THE TOE OR HEEL, AND THE RESULTS STILL WERE GOOD. IT HAS A VERY LARGE SWEET SPOT. BECAUSE THE CLUB IS SO LIGHT, THE SHAFT IS AN INCH LONGER. MOST OF THE IMPATIENT BUYERS/TESTERS MIGHT GIVE UP ON IT BEFORE THEY HAVE ADJUSTED TO THE LONGER SHAFT. IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE THE MINOR ADJUSTMENT, IT IS IMPRESSIVE. I AM GETTING CONSISTENT 290-300 DRIVES WITH VERY LITTLE DISPERSION. HEAD IS EXTREMELY DURABLE, AND I CANNOT FIND A MORE FORGIVING CLUB ON THE MARKET - I HAVE TRIED ALL THE MAJOR ONES. EGT IT AND KEEP IT IN YOUR BAG FOR MORE THAN 3 WEEKS AND YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK!

This driver is not as bad as the reviews would lead you to believe. Most of these reviewers are use to titanium and may have never hit a persimmon driver.I hit it at a demo day and its long. The feel is muted softer feeling than persimmon by a long shot. The weight of the club is easy enough to get use to.Overall its a good driver for mid to high handicapers.

I demoed a C4. Let me start off by saying that it feels awkward at address. The club is so light that I had a difficult time feeling where the clubhead was in my swing and when you do hit the ball it has a very inconsistent shot dispersion pattern. This is not what you want when you are trying to get the ball down the fairway. For whatever reason, Callaway seems to have a difficult time producing a decent driver when you compare to other brand drivers. On the other hand their Steelhead+ fairway woods and Steehead x-14 irons have been excellent which is what I have in my bag.

I took this driver to the range with my VFT (same flex and loft) and was very surprised with the results. The VFT had been the best driver I had played, so when the C4 had a tighter shot dispersion and added about 5-10 yards to my drives, I was surprised and very pleased. The stock shaft felt very stable, the design of the club is very attractive and masks its size very well. The sound at impact is different, but that's what everyone said when titanium came on the market. Its kind of cool to hear that subdued thwack and then to look up and see the ball screaming down the fairway! I have used the club for several weeks now and its performance has not wavered. The club still looks like the day I bought it, Callaway has done an outstanding job. The real test is not hitting a dozen balls into a net, but when you have it out on the course and hit almost every fairway at a distance equal to or longer than you're used to. Definitely worth consideration, no matter what handicap level you are. Just ask Annika, Jesper or Charles!

I have had this club for several weeks now and its performance continues to amaze me. After buying, took it to the range and the C4 outperformed the VFT right away (same loft & flex), and I was in love with my VFT. Shot dispersion was much tighter and distance on the sweetspot was about 5-10 yards longer. Off center shots were comparable to the VFT. Shaft feels very stable throughout, and I actually find the sound pleasing. To hear the muted sound off the clubface and then look up and see the ball screaming down the fairway is quite impressive. How long did it take us to get used to the sound of Titanium, same deal. Very sharp appearance, design hides its size well. I don't understand those that trash it, other than I would tend to think some of them hit 5 shots into a net and wrote it off. On the course is where you see what this beauty can do. Appearance has held up well so far, which was a concern of mine, but the club still looks new. Demo it on the range if you can and I think many of you will be impressed.
