First of all, this club is BAD-ASS... DO NOT listen to what these low-handicappers have to say about this club. The golfing industry has been "spoiled" by the Ti "tink" sound that all the high-dollar clubs produce these days. My drives used to be consistently 230 yards with my old Orlimar. I have only had the club 1 month and have been averaging 300 yards and straight as an arrow!!! This club is worth the jack! It's different sound is only different b/c people don't have open minds. I used to be in the hundreds and now I am in the 90's and I only have this club to thank. Callaway has done it again! |

Callaway C4, 10 deg. Reg.
I'm a Callaway guy from way back so I couldn't wait to get my hands on their latest & greatest big stick. I couldn't have been more disappointed with the product! I think that the main reason was the weight and the feedback. The club sets up nicely but it is just too light for my taste. I consistently hit a short high fade with this club - my swing is by no means perfect but I found the C4 to be very inconsistent. Also, I prefer the obvious feedback provided by steel/titanium clubs - the dull "thud" of the C4 just didn't suit my taste. I've never been solid off the tee but I took a definite step backwards with this club. I just took a Cleveland Launcher demo club last night from Nevada Bob's and absolutely loved it! Do yourself a favor and try before you buy. Don't make the same costly mistake that I did. Customer Service No reference. Shop loaned us a 9 degree firm C4 while my son's 9 degree VFT was being replaced due to warranty issue. My son hated it because it didn't sound good. (no titanium "crack") I tried it and didn't like the sound either but it stayed in the fairway on the first hit. (230) So I kept on using it and all of a sudden it is goind 250-275 with a slight fade. Had one 300 yard drive a little down wind. I can understand the initial bad reviews because of the sound. You can't tell whether you hit it good or bad because you are used to the various loud "cracks" that give you feedback on how you hit it.I ended up buying the 10 degree C4 firm. You just have to get used to the sound but it sure does stay in the fairway better than any driver I have owned so far. I also find that for some reason I can go for it more than the VFT without getting a wicked fade. Results: 37, 39 and 42 after work. Pricey though. Customer Service Callaway service is always superb. Replaced my son's used VFT with new one 3 days later with no questions asked. Similar Products Used: 975D, VFT (9 and 10), and Taylormade 360 and 320. |

I demoed this club and hated it. It's pathetic. it feels like you're hitting a golf ball with a rock on a stick. it's very inconsistant. shots hook, shots slice, shots go low and skip across the ground. This club is not worth 400. i got a PING TiSI titanium driver and i can hit it twice as good and i only payed 250 for it. Callaway really sunk low this time. do yourself a favor and don't get this club. get a launcher or a titleist 975j or even a ping titanium driver. the c4 sucks. don't buy it , in fact don't even demo it. |

I custom ordered a 9* C4 with a YS-6 x flex shaft. This club has exceeded all of my expectations. It is unbelievably long, and very forgiving. Some much so that it has pushed the 975J out of the bag. The ball rockets off of the large face on a perfect hanging mid trajectory, and lands with wheels. The bad hype this club is getting just baffles me. Perhaps it's the different sound that throws people? To me it sounds like the old persimmon heads - more of a click. Perhaps it's the use of a familiar material - carbon fibers. Believe me there is nothing wrong with taking a familiar material and using it in a radically new way. How many different ways have stainless steel and titanium been thrown at us? Whatever you may have heard, if you are looking for a top notch club, keep an open mind and try this stick out. As I have, you may open up parts of the fairway you have never seen before. As a new golfer whom as been bitten by this golf bug I have tried several drivers. I currently own a bazooka 320J. Good club. But I,ve gone through 2 in 2 months (breaking face) So the opportunity arose to try this C4. Being from a hockey background the Carbon Fibre head makes sense (been using carbon fibre sticks/blades for the past few years) Well...great club. Long and great feel. 501 par 5, 300 yards long and straight. Ordered one !! Similar Products Used: Nothing is similiar. Drivers used, Bazooka 320J, Taylor Made Firesole, ERC, VFT, Steelhead etc. Used several while the Bazooka was/is being returned for warranty. |

I do not understand the bad reviews from all the high handicap players. I shoot in the very low 80's to high 70's and love this driver. 1. The club sets up very well. 2. It actually has a straight face VS every other manufacturers closed face to accomodate the hackers and keep them from slicing. 3. Yes it is very light to generate higher swing speeds. 4. It is incredibly hard to not hit it straight, if you can't then give up golf. Very forgiving. 5. The .400 shaft tip gives it great stabilty and an apparently low torque. 6. And YES it DOES NOT sound like a Titanium driver...it is a muted sound..that is what should be expected...it is a graphite driver not a Titanium driver. Overall, the sound at impact is muted and you do have to get used to this, but the ball just jumps off the face of this club. It is much longer and more forgiving than my Taylormade. I like it....so does Annika. Customer Service A+ Similar Products Used: Old Yonex drivers |

What a gimmick this club is!!! I just don't understand how Callaway continues to introduce drivers and woods that don't even compete with the general market. This club is ugly at address, feels terrible at impact, and gives you very erratic ball flights. Poor club coming from a great company.......I am disappointed! |
