Forget the sound (It doesn't matter) The club is WAY to light for anyone with high swing speeds. I'm a long ball hitter and can be pretty wild off the tee(distance and direction) The club is forgiving at impact but its tough to feel the head in your backswing and downswing. The result can be incosistent swing patterns and tempo. Think about it, How does your swing look and feel (@ driver speed) if you swing an imaginary club. If you fell over stay away from this club. If you bomb drives (300+ avg.) all this club will do is promote bad swing habits

I currently use steelhead plus woods and they are great. So I had to try the C4. Very cool club looks good, sets up well, and the light weight makes it so easy to swing. I like the sound of it makes it sound solid instead of hollow like some drivers. The best thing about this driver "FORGIVNESS" it might not be the longest but it is forgiving. I probably won't buy one simply because the are too much money. I have a decent sawing that I am working to improve but the one thing that can make or break a driver is the proper flex in the shaft. It makes it way easier to hit good drives. So all in all another inovative product from callaway.

First of all I would like to say that I love the sound this driver makes. It strikes me as funny hearing people say that they like the feedback sound of titanium drivers. Isn't the flight of the ball the feedback you should be using? As far as the 90's shooter complaining of erratic ball flight, I would suspect that every club he or she owns produces an erratic ball flight, ...that's why they're shooting in the 90's. This club sets up great at address and feels great throughout the swing. It's a lightweight club so it takes some discipline to resist the urge to swing the club too fast. A nice easy relaxed swing will give you impressive results with this club. I average 250 - 260 yards with this club just barely swinging it. As with all deep-faced drivers, you have to tee the ball up a lot higher or you'll be blaming bad hits on the club all day long ... go buy some 2-3/4" tees. Since the ball is teed up higher, I find it a lot easier to hit a variety of shots with this club without having to worry about getting the ball airborne ... very easy to play the ball closer to the middle of stance to get a very low trajectory, penetrating drive with lots of roll, or normal ball position for a lofty drive. If I grippit'n'rippit, I can hit this club 300 yards. This is a great club and it really is easier to hit than a lot of other drivers due to the large sweet spot. This is a lightweight club and the instinct is to swing it much faster than you should. Resist that urge and you will be very happy you bought this club.

Pretty amazing how people in the 90's and even 80's can cry and moan about this stick. Chances are, you all have no clue about your swings and how it should be benefited by the usage of this club. Due to the light weight, your backswing should become slower(not fast like I'm sure most of you hacks think)from there the club basically takes care of itself(if you are on the correct swing plane). Sound shouldn't matter, what matters is length and accuracy. I average close to 275 yds every drive. Accuracy wise, I'm hitting about 70% of the fairways I play. Instead of crying about the club. Do me a favor and take a lesson instead of trying to buy your game.

I used to hit a 975D with R shaft. Was a superb club that when hit correctly went about 270 and was reasonably accurate. The Callaway is only about 10-12 yards longer, but way more forgiving on the bad swings. It is really hard to miss the fairway with this thing. I'd say it is worth about 3 strokes per round to me. A bit pricey, but this club earns it.

Demo'd a few rounds with the 10* firm and have yet to find similar combination of accuracy, length, and ease of hitting. If you're used to titanium, you will definitely not get the same sensory feedback, through either feel or sound. Either way, it's hard to argue when your ball's sitting 280+ in the middle of the fairway. Even mis-hits seemed to work their way into very playable positions. Going to try the Cobra 350 SS 9* stiff and decide between the two.

I'll cut to the chase and say I like this club. Why? Last year I hit several drivers and liked some better than others, but ended up with the Adams ST 10 degree driver because of cost. For a few rounds last year I hit that club OK. This year I left the club in the bag and just used my 3-wood. I wasn't giving up that much distance and I did a much better job of keeping it in the fairway. I started looking around for something new. I tried the Titelist and found it better than the Adams but still inconsistent. Then I picked-up the C4. Very light, almost like my 3-wood but with more oomph. I couldn't beleive how well I hit it and then I played a round with it. My playing partner was agast. I NEVER hit my drives that far AND they were all in the short grass?! Two reasons why I think this club works. It is VERY forgiving and it is very light. The light weight makes you feel like your swinging a 3-wood and if you use your hands at all to catch-up on the swing this club allows you to do it. At least hit a bucket-o-balls with it...

Sorry all you high handicappers, but this club is the biggest atrosity to golf since the ERC II. It's a gimmick club and always will be. It sounds horrible, but a club can't be judged by solely sound. The workability is awful and the feel is very disappointing. Sorry Callaway, this was a flop.

WHY BASH THIS CLUB? FOR ITS TARGET MARKET (15-40 HANDICAP), IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CLUB AVAILABLE. DOES IT SOUND GOOD? NO. DOES IT LOOK TRADITIONAL? NO. IS IT TOO LIGHT FOR SOME? YES. IS THE PRICE OUTRAGEOUS? DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR WALLET. IF YOU STRUGGLE LIKE MANY OFF THE TEE, DO YOUR GAME A FAVOR AND AT LEAST TRY IT. NOTHING OUT THERE REWARDS MIS-HITS BETTER, AND NOTHING OUT THERE IS LONGER FOR AVERAGE PLAYERS. EAR PLUGS COST A BUCK A PAIR. EVEN AFTER SPENDING 430 BUCKS ON THIS CLUB, YOU CAN PROBABLY STILL AFFORD THEM. PUT EM IN AND "ENJOY THE GAME!"

Well first thing is this driver absolutly... sucks big time. You cant determine how good it will be by sound alone. Everything sounds and feels the same (cough cough white hot cough). AS for the last reviewer, i dont understand how a club can make a 70 yard jump. Well, it can't, becuase he's a pure liar. No club can make that much of a difference. Myabe, just maybe 20 yards, but definetly not 70. And if he can hit the ball so far, why isnt he at least in the 80's. I really wish peopl wouldnt lie on these things. All in all, the club doesnt compare to any of the other drivers, i.e Titleist, Cleveland, and Taylor Made
