Callaway 454 10 degree
I purchased a Callaway 454 off eBay after hitting some drivers at a demo day in Las Vegas. I had already learned to hit my old driver (Adams ST 303cc)about 220 yards (AVG) and was hoping that some new technology would get me a few more yards. With my old swing, the Callaway felt good and the ball seemed to fly off the clubface, so when they started showing up on eBay, I picked one up. I'm now hitting average drives of 240 with a lot less effort. It took a short time to make a small adjustment to the size of the clubhead, but after a while, it just got easier and easier to hit. Customer Service Callaway? Never had to contact them. eBay? ditto. Similar Products Used: Hit the Ping G2 and G5, which were comparable. Hated the Adams Redline. Hated the way the TM R7 sounded. |

Callaway x460 Tour
Very new club too a fairly new golfer (2 short seasons)Hit it into a monitor at the store covered in tape and one trip to the range. The monitor shots left me feeling powerful,300 yard average.280-290 nice and straight.More muscle less accurate 328 longest but off in rough. The range was great still in air hitting 300 yard fence about three, four feet of the ground. Some bizzare shots but that was all me directing the club to do it. The look I find is very appealing and the tour platform fujikura stiff shaft is responsive and definetly provides a nice jam to the club.Feels very solid.Sounds good but that isn't much of a concern.Head cover is blue/black not my favorite but it's just a head cover. I also tried ft3 tour same distance within five but felt a little small or light or ... overall x460 tour is an outstanding club easily 30 odd yards longer than my no name 400cc driver. I would imagine 320-330 with a good roll for me. P.S constant alinement sole looks pretty but I am unsure if I benefit from it.I am not prone to the shakes. |

Callaway 454 grafolly blue shaft
My opinion on this driver"Callaway 454w/blue Grafolly, 9.5 stiff" I was a little disappointed in its forgiveness. I have a Nike Sasquash Tour and a Cleveland 460 comp. and they are both way more forgiving and longer. The sound was good and the pop off the face was good but the distance was probably 15yds shorter than my Sasquash Tour and the same with the Cleveland. On the forgiveness side of things you would thing the Callaway would win hands down with its closed face against the open face tour model Sasquash. But as the case stands a bad swing was way right in the rough and to my suprise on the Tour model Sasquash was at least in the 1st cut. If you like a closed face/deep face than try the Cleveland and if you like a shallow face and wide than try the Sasquash. Customer Service Average Similar Products Used: What haven't I tryed. I'm a equipment junkie. Nike Sasquash Tour, Cleveland 460 comp and 400 to name the most recent. |

Big Bertha 454 w/ Graphite Design YS-6 Stiff Shaft
I've hit this club maybe 50 or so times and I love it. My last driver, the ERC Fusion, had way to weak of a shaft on it. With it, I hit about 200 yards on average. My 454 goes about 220 yds on average according to the driving range yardages. However, I was hitting it into the wind and uphill. The ball flight is low, but it only has 9* of loft, so I'm not surprised. Shots are loud on impact and roll forever once they land. Another thing that I like about this club is the cosmetics. The top is black, so it doesn't look huge when your standing over it, but the silver bottom makes it look gigantic when your bragging about it to your friends. Customer Service Not needed. Callaway BB 454 Tianium Driver
WOW!! Straighter and farther than ever! I have recently been testing all of the newest top drivers; Taylormade, Ping, Cleveland etc. and nothing has even come close to the solid feel of the BB 454. Just standing over the ball I feel so much confidence. And when I hit the ball it feels so much more solid than the other drivers that just feel hollow even when you hit a good shot. |

GBB 454 Titanium
This is a very good head, but watch out for the Aldila NV shafts. I bought the 10 degree in an NV shaft in S flex and soon realized it was WAY too stiff. Took it to my clubfitter, who tested the shaft and said it checked out as an X flex, not an S. I think this is an under-recognized problem with the big name manufacturers. There's no standard for what makes one shaft an R and another an S - it's at the manufacturers' whim. The solution is to find a head you like, then get a custom clubfitter to put you on a launch monitor and determine exactly what stiffness, torque and kickpoint are best for your driver swing. I like thishead - it's very hot off the face but still quite forgiving. The reason I'm missing fairways right and coming up short is not me; it's the damn overly stiff shaft. My fitter is going to test it this week and reshaft it, and then it should be a great driver. Do yourself a BIG favor. Don't buy another clun without reading Tom Wishon's great book, In Search of the Perfect Club. A little time and effort with a qualified, experienced clubfitter will do wonders for your game and keep you from wasting hundreds (thousands) of dollars going from OEM club to club vainly hoping one will work for your swing and setup. Get fitted, get the right shaft and you've got your clubs working with you, not against you. Forget the manufacturers' hype over the latest and great! Just get what works for you and then spend your money on good lessons, practice time and play. End of pontification! Customer Service Shaft flex was WAY off. Callaway 454
I went to a local golf retailer looking to buy a driver that would suit my swing. Talking to the golf pro about which driver to use and he recomended the Callaway Fusion. After sometime in the Practice nets using the computer I had a clubhead speed of 95 mph, i was carring around 240. Then i changed to a Callaway 454 with reg shaft and I hit that so well. 255 carry and nice and straight. It is very forgiving as i can sometimes duff the drive but it still carry some distance. Played today and I hit some great drives and left my mates trailing behind, the great thing is that i bought this club in a mint condition second hand for a low price. So if you are looking for a driver but don't want to pay for a ping G5, just give it a go and see how you get on. Customer Service Not Used |

I recently (about 4 weeks ago) purchased this club, i first tested the Taylor Made R7 and the King Cobra 440SZ, i chose this one because this club has such a solid feel to it and i gain about an extra 10-30 meters in my drives. I recommend this club highly if you are looking for solid, consistent and long drive. Customer Service None Needed Similar Products Used: Cobra 440SZ Titanium Driver |
