Very nice club, great feel, lightweight, looks good at address however...

IF YOU SLICE THE BALL - THIS DRIVER WILL NOT CURE IT OR FIX IT OR MAKE IT GO AWAY.

If your swing path is outside to inside, you're an over the topper or have a open clubface at impact you will slice the ball regardless of the draw bias.

Tested this driver with a laucnh monitor (which I suggest everyone do). It identified that my swing path was coming from the outside and my attack angle was too steep. The draw bias made my slice not as bad but it still went right.

I found that I was taking the club outside of path right from my takeway and was not able to get it back on the correct path coming into ipmact. Made some adjustments and my ball flight is much better (not even using the draw bias).

Suggest fundmentals first (grip, set-up, posture, ball position, takeaway, swing path, impact, relase and follow through).

Once you can get the ball going straight or even a little fade, then and only then, will this driver perform for you.

No one club will ever correct opertor error. And, this one is expensive.

I am 17 years old and I've been playing golf for around 8 years. I am getting more excited about golf since I've started playing much better (shooting in the 90s lately.) I decided if I was going to play regularly I needed a new driver ( I'd been hitting a 3 wood off the tee before. So I tried a bunch at a golf store but really loved this one. I have the draw biased one so it helps keep my club straight (Love that) and a regular shaft. I really love the weird sound it makes when its hit well, (kinda like a tick.) I really love callaway and I think they make the best stuff. If you have trouble keeping your drives straight this club is definitly right for you. Or even if your a great golfer!

Holy Cow. I love this club. I went to golf galaxy just looking and saw them, so i tried one and loved it. Then looking through the pre-owned clubs I found an FT-Hybrid the same I tried in perfect condition for 50 dollars less. So I bought it and now it is my go to club. I Love it

Customer Service

Since I bought it pre-owned I didn't receive the headcover with it. I e-mailed Callaway customer service and they sent me a free one to go with it.

Tried this driver at a demo day. Tried all the different options - shaft brand, shaft flex, neutral, draw. Could not get a good result from any of them. Maybe it was just me but in all honesty I am a pretty straight driver and used other brands on the day with no problems. I have also tried other Callway drivers in the past and found them okay. This is one club I would certainly try this club a few times before you buy but in my opinion there are much better clubs out there.

Had a GBBII with regular flex before and loved it. My swing became much faster over two years and i could no longer unload on the ball when I wanted to. I couldnt even take a regular swing sometimes. The head would be behind my swing and would result in a big slice or a big hook. I have loved Callaway drivers and looked at the Fusion after hearing how accurate it was. I needed accuracy, not distance. I average at least 285yds now and averaged about 270 before. I now hit it in my fairway, not the fairway on the next hole. I hit it longer now, and much straighter. It also allows me to hit those 300+ drives when you need to to reach those par 5's in two. It helps hitting a driver off the tee instead of a blade 3 iron. Overall I love the club. It did take me a few days to figure out where to play the ball in my stance (up near my front foot more). Mis-hits are great on this club too, only losing about 5-10 yards.

Customer Service

I bought this from Edwin Watts and I am VERY DISSATISFIED. They lied to me about when it would arrive from Callaway. They said it was on its way when I called and then I called a week later and they said they havent even packaged it yet. I am now awaiting my strong 3-wood, which could take another month!Im thinking about asking i fi could just possibly get a hybrid instead..and maybe a some store credit.

Model Reviewed: Fusion FT-3 Tour 8.5

I recently picked up this driver as an experiment. I average 290 off the tee so distance is not a requirement of a new driver, but as with most long hitters accuracy can be a problem if my timing is off. After reading some reviews about how accurate this club is I decided to try it. I can say that it is every bit as long as my current driver (Titleist 975 L-FE 8.5 w/ Graffaloy ProLaunch 75x) but it is more accurate, which is a nice surprize. The NVS 75 shaft plays similar to the ProLaunch 75, giving you a slightly higher launch angle. perhaps the newfound accuracy is due to the "new club confidence" boost, I guess we'll see. Solid driver, worth the $400 since that seems to be the going price these days. If you want a good club at a reasonable price, try Hippo.

Model Reviewed: CALLAWAY FUSION FT-3 DRIVER

I recently purchased a Callaway FT-3 Driver w/a 10 degrees loft. This is an awesome driver which corrected my slice and distance. Although its missing the pinging sound of the old Callaways I can now hit more line drives than before and added 15-20 yds distance compared to my Mizuno driver. Even on a missed hit, the FT-3 was very forgiving. When I bought my FT-3, Callaway had a promotion giving away fairway woods for each FT-3 purchased. This was great too, the Callaway Fusion fairway wood #3 was easy to hit on the first go around.

Model Reviewed: FT3 Tour Driver, 9.5, Neutral, Stiff NV & FT3 21degree 7 wood, stiff, NVS

Ok, so because I moved from CA to Manhattan 6 years ago, I haven't been able to play as much until I made a resolution to do so, so my last driver was an 8.5 Titleist 975J Graf Prolight Stiff, which I couldn't hit consistently anymore so I finally decided to pony up for an upgrade and went for the Callaway 2 for 1 deal at Golfsmith. While I thought the Ping was nice, I really liked how the FT3 really seems to set up square (in fact the tour model is 0.5 degrees open). It took me about 10 holes to figure out the right placement of the ball in stance, but once I did, I must admit that it has been a very very solid club. I have a swing speed around 105 - 115 depending, and I feel that the green NV shaft is fine (although I would have loved to have had the Fujikura). It allows me to swing easy and not have to jump on it all the time. I feel that it's a very honest club, meaning, it produces the kind of shot you are expecting depending on the type of swing you put on it (which is what the neutal bias is supposed to do) and doesn't cheat you or allow you to cheat. This statement may seem obvious, but one of the reasons I've waited so long to buy a new driver is that I feel many of the new ones are gimmicky, like the Taylor R7 or Hogan, with those screws. As far as the FT3 7 wood is concerned however, I'd say the jury is still out. I really liked the X series woods, but they were not an option in the deal, so I gave the FT3 21 degree 7 wood a try (been looking for a good 200yd utility club). I feel that it's too light with the NVS shaft to make consistent swings and the face seems a little closed which is throwing me off (seem to hit it consistently left, which is a tell tale sign for me that the face is probably closed...actually trying to find this out from Callaway). I'll probably keep it unless Callaway allows me to trade it for something else, but I'd say it's more designed for a higher handicapper with a much slower swing speed and slicing issues.

If you're looking for a driver strictly for distance gains, I'm not sure this is for you. But if you want to hit in the fairway more often, man, is this driver awesome. The large hitting area, cupped design seems to allow for fewer slices and hooks. Pretty amazing driver. Who cares if it doesn't 'ping' when you hit it? The results are undeniable.
