This is the best ball out there. I usually shoot in the low 80s or the high 70s. I am 14 and was looking for a decent ball at a cheap price. I used Pro V1x for a bit, but too expensive and not enough spin. I then used Pro V1, not long-enough. Then i decided to use these, and boy am i happy i did. I can spin back a 8 iron. They are perfect for my game, great spin and HUGE distance. These are the best balls ever.

I've been searching for a replacement ball and finally found one. This ball compares favorably to all the top end balls out there. Distance is about the same and greenside spin is excellent. Putting with the ball has a good click, not mushy like some of the others. My old ball was the Topflite (yes topflite) Strata TL Tour, which was killed off by Callaway when they bought out Topflite. Much of the patents of that ball went into what was the HX and now the Ix. It was the steal of the century at $25 a dozen. You can't get them any longer so that's why I mention them now. Hehehehoohoho. Those who played it know what I'm talking about.

The Wilson TX-4 ball is a very responsive ball, I can drive it over 300 yeards, yet it spins as well as an V1 and stops as quick. I do not feel that there is a better ball on the market today.

I play the Wilson TX4 and the Titleist ProV1x in alternance.

Both feel about the same, and are on the "firm" side of things, which I like.

The Wilson looks pretty cool with its flat dimples, and can't be mistaken with any other ball. Advantage Wilson.

They both spin very little off the driver, and behave perfectly. No winner here. However the Wilson does spin significantly more off the irons and on approach shots. Advantage Wilson.

Distance wise, the ProV1x is longer by certainly 5 to 10 yards, otherwise I would be playing the Wilson all the time. Advantage Titleist.

Off the putter, I may prefer the unmatched responsiveness and feel of the ProV1x, but the Wilson isn't far behind. Advantage Titleist.

Price wise, it's a no brainer. The TX4 sells for $29.95, against $44.00 for the Titleist. Advantage Wilson.

All things considered, the Wilson is my ball of choice, although in some departments the Titleist betters it. BTW the "new" TX4 Pro is simply the TX4 "improved" launched last year, in a new packaging for 2008.

Never been a wilson ball fan but told by my local club pro to try these out..now converted...everything you want from a golf ball, Long and Soft....worth every penny...not just for the Pro's. This ball will suit people with slow to medium swing speeds...

I've always liked Wilson Staff and have played them a good number of years. My complaint about the TX4 is that it scuffs very easily and the paint wears off very quickly. That's enough to think about some other kind of ball.

As my my ball striking has gotten better as of late I was on the hunt to try a new golf ball that gave me more feel, and spin. I had been wanting to try these balls for some time. After using golfballselector.com and punching in multiple scenarios the Wilson Tx4 seem to come up every time as either the #1 or #2 recommended golf ball. After playing 9 holes with it, I have to say I wasn't very impressed. I wasn't hitting the ball as solid as normal, but I didn't care for the feeling off the irons. It wasn't very soft to me, or at least what I like. It had a different sound even when struck solidly. I tried the Srixon Z-URS in the last month and have to say I like that ball much better in all areas. The Wilson did putt fairly well though.

This is a great overall golf ball. It has good distance with woods and irons. It has drop and stop ability on the greens. The flat dimples makes it putt very well. It is a much cheaper alternative to Titleist and Callaway with the same or better results.

Played this ball for the first time yesterday. Distance seems to be similar to Pro V1 and B330. Around the greens it seems to check nicely on the shorter chips and stop quickly on the longer approaches (I will say though that right now the greens at my home course are so soft and receptive that I stopped a rock flight w/ in 10 inches of where it landed from about 160 the other day when I was goofing off). Point being that I would like to see how this ball check on some harder greens. It does definitely make a "click" type noise when you hit it (even putting). As long as that doesnt bother you this ball is a good ball. The only draw back would be that because of that "click" it does not seem to have as good of feel of the putter as a Pro V/B330/Nike One Black.

The Wilson Staff Tx4 is a decent ball that performs well. Driving distance seems to be slightly above average, and the spin on short irons is adequate. The ball has a hard sound and touch off the putter, but putts very true. Worst characteristic - it scuffs easily. I played 18 with this ball, but even after 9 holes, it was showing a lot of wear.
