this ball has a great feel if you like the sensation of the ball sticking to your club face and then going on its way. Unlike some of the other low ompression models like the Maxifli noodle and Titlists solo range I found i could guide this far better. It was especially unnerving on the driver at first, but the feeling on irons and wedges was fantastic. I feel that it is shorter on the premium brands that have since come out but I am getting it on the fairway and green in the trajectory and height I want it to. Chipping gives just that little more check, and I have no problems with putting. Durable as well. Can't have everything in life and in this case its the distance off the tee with driver and woods. Good accurace though. Would not have bought it at original rrp but I understand there was a warehouse full of them and they're going cheap now. Try it if you like the low compression feel or yearn for the balata ball Customer Service not used. pack of 12 lake balls. Similar Products Used: Noodle (once upon a time, would not go back) DT and PTS solo: ok but still poor control when really going for it: Loco best of the lot for distance and flight control but will not check, have to factor in bounce forward. |

I realize this is old news, but I recently found a Wilson iWound in tall grass of the course I play. Naturally I had to try it. I was very impressed with it both off my driver (Cleveland Hibore Tour 9.5) and irons (Wilson Staff RM forged). I felt the feel around the greens was also very impressive. I thought that a ball of this quality would be expensive, what a surprise to find them at $7.00 per dozen. I have ordered several dozen realizing that they will soon be unavailable, what a FIND. I usually play Wilson Smartcore, as I found them the best value for money. I was interested in the iWound as they professed to be the equal of Pro V1's and I found them for £13 for 2 dozen! So I thought they would be worth trying.
Customer Service Bought them from www.thesportshq.com great price and quick delivery, I bought 12 dozen for 80 quid. What more do you want? Similar Products Used: I like most other people have used the Pro V1's but I personally found them over rated or should I say, over priced for the limited gains in MY game. I have also used the Wilson TX2's, 3's and 4's, Sixron AD223, Callaway HX, Warbird basically you name it I've tried it, and again just found them to all OK.

During the summer of 2005 I found one of these balls in the woods. I eventually used it for the first time one day, and on the second hole, a 175 yard par 3 over water, I got a hole-in-one. So if you want to hit a hole in one, buy this ball. Similar Products Used: Titleist NXT Tour |

This is probably the easiest ball to spin for me. As in generating enough spin for the approach shots to back up off 6 iron. I find a lot of the other balls will tend to release a little bit. Distance is quite good also. Not sure if Wilson still manufacture this model. The local price is $30 CDN for a dozen, cheaper than NXT Tour (my other favourite mid price golf ball). This ball putts very nicely also, a bit on the firm side, but rolls v. true and straight. Similar Products Used: There are no other balls constructed quite like it. However, there are a number of balls that will play similar. I actually prefer this ball over Wilson True Tour. |

One of the better balls on the market--easily in the class with the Titleist Pro-V1 and the Callaway balls, but Wilson completely goofed in trying to market this ball at $35/doz. Wilson just doesn't have the name to price balls with the big names in golf. This ball would have been a blockbuster in the low $20's. |

One of my buddies gave me this ball. Nice spin rate without losing any distance. Feels soft around the greens as well as off the putter. Great ball. Similar Products Used: ProV1, Inergel, Callaway CB |

Excellent ball and price (24.00 for 12). I am used to hard balls and this one is by no means hard. I putted it perfectly, and approach shots were excellent. They felt great with my Callaway VFT driver. Excellent distance. I highly rec. this ball. Similar Products Used: maxfile XS Tour, Strata, and titleist nxt balls |

I purchased this ball after reading wilson's ball performance claims. I was looking for a ball that had good feel and control with distance at around 25$ per dozen. I have tried Titleist Nxt Tours and the iwound. I found the Nxts to be good off the tee (distance) but found them to have poor feel and control with irons and around the greed. The iwounds I was pleasantly suprised. They are explosive off the tee. They have great feel and incredible spin with the irons. These balls will back up on the green with a well hit iron shot. The soft cover putts well too. From my research, the iwound is the best ball in this price range and actually plays with balls in the premium price range. I would recomend this ball to anyone that wants good distance, soft feel, and green attacking spin. Great ball. |
