I received a 15 pack of these balls for Christmas. I found one of them in a field before I used the balls I got for Christmas. My shots are straighter with the XL 2000 Magna. They are truly good golf balls worth the $15 or so.

Great ball. Compromises some control for great distance. Great off the tee, fairway or on the green, these balls give decent feel and putt nicely. Not very durable though.

This ball is good all over because of its great distance and its great feel. For your money its the best ball in the buisness. The best ball under $15

Don't agree that this ball reduces hooks and slices like it says.Average distance. For the mid to high handicap good ball to use for the price if you want to play with new balls.

A lower priced ball for the average golfer, it gives average results. I bought 2 boxes of 15 balls over the summer but didn't find the soft feeling I was looking for around the greens in this product. Good value for the money, the ball lasts reasonably well and distance off the tee is better than average.

Model Reviewed: Distance

I have played Titleist balls for 40 years. As I've gotten older, I've lost a little distance but didn't want to use a distance ball due to lack of spin and control. These are important to me as I am a five handicap that relies on my short game to score well. When the Titleist Tour Distance came out I thought I had found the best of both worlds - distance and control. I got a sleeve of Spalding XL 2000 Distance balls as a gift and tried them. They exceeded the Titleist ball by about five yards on every hole that I used both balls as a comparison. The spin was the same and the XL 2000 held the green fine if hit properly. If it wasn't hit well, it reacted like any 2 piece ball. The main reason I have switched is I can get the Top flites for around $14 a dozen versus $29 a dozen for the Titleist. Same results for half the price.

This is is a great ball when it comes to around the greens and within 100 yards away. Not as good off the tee but still is o.k.

Not bad ball. Not my favorite. Played better thatn I expected. Decent length off the tee. Not much holding power on greens though. Good ball to play if you don't want to spend a lot of money, but there are better values out there.

Although this ball is a huge improvement over the previously packaged pebbles labeled, "XL's", it still falls way short of the higher profile performance balls. The ball delivers good distance, okay spin, and questionable feel. All in all, I would recommend it to someone presently playing a distance ball but who is looking for a touch more spin and feel. The value is terrific as far as out-of-pocket expense, but when you factor in what you get for your dollar, well, let's just say it's not the whole package in a performance ball and there are better choices out there.

When i began i was a terrible terrible slicer, atthe driving range my ball would say hello to the 150 and go 100 yards to the right. So then i saw the new magna the rating are 10,10,7,10,10. The seven is for the spin which is descent but its exactly what it says a seven. The ball is the largest of the top flite series and it does what it says it does. It reduces slices and hooks dramatically, UNMATCHED! I hit a 200 yarder which is excellent for my skill level. Putts nice. No side spin. Great feel,Spin could be a littler better but what would you rather have Distance accuracy slice and hook reduction or better spin on the green the spin is similiar to a strata distance, if you tried them. I recommend these to ANY slicer. Great buy at thr 15-25 dollar price range unmatched!
