i got two boxes of pro v1's for the start of golf season at my high school and ive tried every ball out there i dont buy balls usually i get them from family or friends or i find them. these balls arent the best thing since sliced bread but everyone is into the hype of feel of a ball on the putter and the driver and how balls hold there line balls are balls now there are BAD balls but most balls that nike and callaway and titleist are juss about the same some are softer and some are harder but you cant really make a bad ball but i like these balls there soft but not too soft and they dont go as far as the X but the feel is about the same i would recommend any ball thats out nowadays.

all day long i have been hitting long and straight drives with the Prov1X 332 and the DT solo. i tried this ball out and i did not get as much distance and hoked/ sliced the ball more and the ball would not stay straight. Although they are nice off the fairway woods, off the irons they feel heavy and clunky but with the puuter and wedges are nice. if u depend of good tee shots to help ur score do not buy this ball it will not help you of fthe tee or iron shots

Wow. Seriously I didnt think these balls would make that much of a difference. Obviously I was wrong. I eagled the first hole, which is a par 4 chipping one in that had check on it. I nearly had a hole in one on the next par 3. I shot the best round of my life today, 74, thanks to ProV1. I'll never play any other ball, thanks titleist!!

I played in my club's member/guest with a single-digit handicapper and ended up hitting his Pro V's a bit (some of the tourney was alternate shot). These balls are probably the best line of balls out there. However, most GOOD players (even excellent ones) would be better off with the V1x. It doesn't magnify mistakes as much, and the feel is just right. Go ahead and try both... you'll see. However, for players like me... the ball is just way too pricey to make that big a difference in my mediocre game. Try the Strata Tour Professional, DT So/Lo, or Precept Laddie.

This balls are great. From the tee I can get the ball to go wherever i want. that is what is so great about these balls they fly right and they travel further off the tee. Also when you are close to the pin you can get theballin the air and make it stop dead on the green. Titleist have got a winning ball on there hands. But if your like me and lose 5 balls a round then these are not the balls for you. At $5 a ball its quite a price to pay if your going to lose them all the time. But aside from that their great!!!

I won a sleeve in a tournament, so I thought I´d give them a try. Overall, it´s a very good ball for the GOOD player. Distance off the driver is good, if you hit it straight, hard AND flush you will get a soaring trajectory that is fun to watch. If you have trouble slicing or hooking, this ball will multiply your tendency!! The feel off all clubs is first class. The ball is very workable, controlling trajectory is a snap. It holds greens very well, yet it´s easy to release on chips. I also liked the feel off the putter. SUMMARY: A very expensive ball with excellent playing characteristics, but beware: If you´re a soft hitter or if you have problems with slices´n´hooks, look elsewhere!! This ball won´t help you. It´s best suited for low handicap players with a big wallet.

I have always loved the titleist balls. I started out iwth the dt distances then upgraded to the nxt's when i started shooting low 80's. Then when i started to shoot in the 70's i went to the best ball ever which is the pro v. i have tried all differnet kinds of balls and the only one that i think can compare to the pro v in spin is the original strata tour ultimate...but thats only with spin. I can stick a wedge shot when i need to, and suck it back without much trouble at all. Usually the rule for that, the more spin you put on the ball the less distance you get. Not wiht the pro v, i average 295 with my drives and can spin it back 8 feet on good greens, how can you beat that? matt bond

The best ball out there right now (but I've just bought a box of Nike ONE balls and we'll see how they do). But I don't really understand Titleist. This year's Pro V1 does seem to be better than last years (or is it better than the original Pro V1?). It seems to go farther. I notice its better than the Strata Ultimate and Ace which I had been using. I got a free sleeve of new Pro V1s or I wouldn't have known they were better. But when Titleist makes a significant change to their product, why don't they call it something else or label it differently? I tried to explain this to a fellow golfer and he didn't believe me. He thought the only new Pro V1 was the Pro V1X (or is it the V1*?). I've tried that one too, and it isn't right for my game. Titleist says they've also improved the NXT balls. Most people don't notice that, and if they move away from the Titleist ball aren't so inclined to try the new ball unless it is clearly different. In any event, the best ball I've tried, and I've tried most of the new ones.

Very good ball but just not quite worth the money. I've tried all the top balls, but my for a player like myself that shoots in the high 80s low 90s, I just can't afford $3-$3.50 a ball. I would recommend for any player that likes the pro V1, try out the Nike Power Distance Super Soft. They are only about $16 a dozen and almost hit identically off of the club face.
