An overpriced 3-piece that exhibits no differences from other cheaper 3-piece balls! The main reason for the price tag is the marketing & the numbers of Tour players that are paid to use this ball. If you think your paying this ridiculous price for quality then your softer then a Maxfli Noodle! This ball will not make you play better! Give your wallet a break and refuse to be the fool play a ball that priced within reason and play another brand.......... Well, we've all heard the story, and it's true. This is probably one of the top three balls out there if not the best. I won't bore you with all the hype that's been said, but I will say something that I've never read: You DON'T have to have a high swing speed(110+) to hit this ball far and straight. I don't know about the BRAND new one(how the heck do you know what's new anyway when every year the box say's new!), but, my swing speed is in the upper 90's currently and this ball can flat out fly! I agree with everyone else, it's BS that it cost's so much. If I was rich I would probably still buy something under $40, just for the principle of it. At $45 a dozen this ball is still probably a good buy if you're a pro golfer, but for me, I'm totally happy with the NXT Tour for $18/dz cheaper! Of course, Titleist knows what there doing: they've got the pros or low handicaps getting these, and the average to above average slumps buying the NXT's. Either way, they win big! Then again, big business always does. One negative, this ball scuffs badly when it hit's a golf cart path and you'll be afraid to use it again. Hello, $4 out the window, but you can brag to your friends that you played the best! Customer Service none. Similar Products Used: Callaway HX Tour 56, Nike Platinum, Hogan Tour. |

Tried the new ProV1 as it was one of the only premium ball available at my proshop and I'd wo a couple of bals in comps. What a crap ball. No distance on the driver, and an inconsistent ball flight. Had trouble with distance control and felt too soft off the irons. Felt okay with the putter, but didn't make up for the shortcomings. The new V1X is an outstanding ball, but this ball was just a disappointment. The only thing high end about this is the price. |

Probably the best all round ball unless your swing speed is 110+ MPH. Price is a factor if you tend to loose a lot of balls. But these balls wear well. If you consider that a doz. of these costs about the same as a good round of golf with a cart it makes sense. If you keep the ball in play it should last 3 rounds before it rolls funny. The Pro V's are ok. Good distance and feel, but the ball's tradjectory is too low. My 8 iron looks like a 6 iron shot. I've stocked up on Titleist Professional's since they have been D/C'd. I'm also going to give the NXT Tour a try. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Titleist Professional Maxfly HX tour Nike One |

I've always used Titleist balls, when I first took up the game in the dim and distant it was the PTS, then I discovered the joys of the TOUR BALATA and finally through to the PROFESSIONAL...... But this ball (and the ProV1x) are the daddies of the bunch. They just seem that little bit longer, straigher and softer off of every club than any other performance ball out their. I went through a phase last summer of trying a few different premium balls (Callaway HX Black, Strata Tour ace, Wilson True Tour Elite and the Hogan Apex Black) and everytime I did I regretted 'wasting' another £10 - £12 on balls that would just end up in the practice ball bag.... the Pro V's just couldn't be beaten. Easy to control everywhere. My only criticsm is that they can sometimes get a bit inconsistent depending on what part of the ball you catch them on.... I always try and avoid the 'seam' the dimple mouldings makes around the circumference of the ball, if you catch it off that part its a little bit difficult to judge both the bounch and check of the balls. Did find the V1x to be a bit more flighty off the tee but more difficult to control in the wind. Found out after using a few V1x's for a month that they were made of Ernie Els and his 125mph+ swing speed so I guess I wasn't hitting them hard enough to use properly on a windy summers evening !! If you are into single figures or just want to be able to get pro like check on approach shots then invest in a pack of 3... it'll be the best £10.99 you've ever spent !! I have played the pro v for a long time now, and I really like it. Great spin around the greens which I love. The problem with the ball is also the spin though for you with high swing speeds. I tend to spin the short irons and wedges way too much, distance control gets tough. Off the driver the ball feels great, but is a little tough to control. Overall I prefer the Pro V1x which is way deeper, but the short game sacrifice is almost not worth it. I am currently testing out callaways hx tour I think it will be the best ball for me... This really is the best ball in golf. I hate it that they are 40-50 bucks a dozen, but to me they are worth it. If you are a player that shoots around 90+, go with the NXT if you want to play a Titleist. You won't really notice the difference, and it won't hurt as bad when you lose one. The benefits of the Pro V1 to me are: monster distance, great partial wedge spin, and a very soft putting feel. The last being the real selling point to me since I already drive it a long way. If you are a better player, don't hesitate using a Pro V1. But then again, a better player has probably already tried it out. Weaker players should use the NXT if they want a Titleist. The only reason I give the Pro V a 4 on value is the high cost. Customer Service Never had to use it for a Pro V1. When I was a kid I cut a Titleist DT (remember those?)when I completely bladed one. I sent it back to Titleist and they sent me a sleeve back. I thought that was awesome and have been using their balls for the last 16 years. This ball is just simply the best ball out there. I didn't want to pay the money for them but I bought a sleeve just to see what the big deal about them was and I found out as soon as I hit one. Don't take my word for it, the only way you will ever know is if you just go buy a sleeve and try them out |
