I put a used NXT Tour into play on my second hole Saturday and played it until I hooked it out of bounds on #18. I am thoroughly impressed. Distance: First of all, to try to subjectively tell distances between balls is ridiculous. I drive the ball 300 yards when dead straight and frankly I don't care if it goes 300 or 305. So let's just say this ball is "long enough". Spin: Everything from 8-iron through my 56-degree wedge dropped and stopped. A couple of shots spun back maybe two feet; everything else just came to rest right next to the ball mark. I'd rather have that than the crazy, unpredictable spin you get out of a premium ball. Greenside chipping gives you a true roll instead of checking up too quickly. Just try to avoid blind uphill chip shots to the short side of the green and you'll be fine. Feel: I happen to think that basically all Titleist golf balls seem to have a great feel to them, and this one is no exception. Although I wouldn't care if it didn't because I'm more concerned with where the ball stops than how it feels at impact. Durability: As I said, I used one for the entire round, and it was used to begin with before I even put it in play. I hit all kinds of shots off rock hard dirt, out of sand, off pine trees, basically everywhere it could go and towards the end of the round it only had one little scuff mark on it. Overall, a great ball. I just ordered more, but if it keeps up this performance I won't need them any time soon.

Oh...one more thing...similar story to onemoremulligan's post: I have started to hole some pretty decent putts myself, and when I compare my score cards, I'm seeing a HUGE reduction in the total number of putts. I'm seeing many more 1 putts, and fewer 3 putts.

I've played 4 rounds on these balls thus far (paid $24 @ Wal-Mart). They aren't the longest ball I've ever hit, but they aren't the shortest either. They're pretty soft, and I must say that the feel is the best I've ever played...for the price. The ball seems to hold the green very well. I personally don't like spending $40 for golf balls. For the price and my playing ability, I am very impressed, and will probably stick with these. I would grade the ball as follows (1-10, low-high): Distance: 7 Feel: 9 Spin: 8

with the great golf digest review on this ball, i guess you could call me a sucker for giving this ball a shot. i have tried all sort of balls (look at similar products) looking for the "one". (which just so happens must be great feeling, distance, short iron spin, and value for money) This ball isn't the furthest i have hit, but for feeling, and the number of incredible putts i have holed with this ball. i have gone out and bought 3 boxes of this. every round of golf i will have 2 or 3 ridiculous putts that holds true to the line and falls in. i would like to think its the player (putting technique) or even the putter (titleist scotty cameron), but the truth is, these putts only started falling after i switched to nxt tour. As for previous reviews on the ball failing to stop on the green, (perhaps its the green, club, swing etc?) i have the same problem... when i hit a bad shot. When i hit a good shot... i have no problems.

I just wanted to send an update. Our second 18 opened at the club and it is longer and faster than the old course. These balls are adequate in length and fair with long irons, good with short and okay in putting. I guess what I am saying is that they are an average ball. I have to balance these balls to get true rolls on the green just to survive. They don't hold the green but at least they do not bound away like the Revolution EXT. I will go back to the Precept I was using as the ball was good, I just wanted to save a few bucks.

This is flat a horrible ball!! What's to like about it? It has a good boring trajectory I guess, and that's all I can say good about this ball. This ball is NOT long compared to other balls. I wouldn't say it short I guess, but it certainly doesn't launch off my driver like almost any other decent ball you can play like a Pro V1, Maxfli Revolution Tour, Hogan Apex, or even any other the cheaper balls like Maxfli Noodle or those 2 piece Callaways (HX Red??). I played one round with these balls, and the ball probably cost me 2-3 shots cause it couldn't hold a green. I hit a half 56 deg. wedge from the fairway, and the ball landed 4 ft from the hole and FINALLY came to a stop 9 feet from the hole. OK, so maybe none of the other 2 piece balls would have stopped either....can't be sure about that, but I hit a Noodle a few times during the round, and that ball certainly flys farther, and has a better feel. Those NXT's feel like ROCKS! There basically a range ball. This ball is really a joke to call itself a "Tour" ball. There is just know way anyone could EVER says these balls are "Poor Man's Pro V's". That's a joke!! Maxfli Rev Tours can be had for $30/dozen and humiliate these garbage balls. Maxfli M3 Tours can be had at Edwin Watts for $20/doz for Pete's Sake!! So you think I don't like this ball?

Awesome ball. Great ditance off the tee, consistent with the long irons, predictable with short irons and wedges and a true putting ball. Yes this ball stops on a dime. I have yet to reel it back but if you know your distances you should be fine. It scuffs when you hit it right but what ball doesn't especially those that stop on the green and do not bound off of it or one with a soft feel with the putter. I have tried a lot of balls and yet to find one better for what it does and for the price, even when it is only a two-piece ball.

Titleist is great. Each time I have a question on specifications or product characteristics, I E-mail them and they respond the next day.

i had a couple sleeves left over as freebies from a recent tournament, and used them for a couple of consecutive rounds. these balls fly straight and true. the feel is just a bit firmer than i like, but not too bad. they do not check well on the green, i.e. very little stopping power compared to others. i also noticed they scuffed much too easily for my liking. there are many other balls on the market now that are equal or better in performance for less $$$. i wouldn't waste my money on these!

Great all around ball. Long off the driver. Good feel and length with irons. Sweet short game performance(checks up well, but doesn't spin back to much) and rolls really nice on the green. First time using a titleist ball in a year or so. Been playing precept u-tri's,and maxfli a3. This ball out performs them both. I've never tried the ProV1(I'm a 12 hndcp and can't justify spending $44 for golf balls) and after using this ball, I probably won't. This ball does it all for less money. Give this ball a try and you will not be disappointed. You can't beat it's performance at any price.

The NXT Tour is a really fantastic golf ball, exceptional distance for a ball that spins so much. The mid irons to wedges, the ball really stops, i can't understand why anyone else would use a Pro V1 or X when the NXT Tour is exceptional in quality, yet half the price. I am "over the moon" about this golf ball.....Fantastic!
