Bought a sleeve of these based on the reviews I read here. I enjoyed them. The definitely hit long and straight. But the advantage I got from tee-shots didn't make up for the fact that these just aren't very good balls around the greens. I couldn't get any shots to stick. Definitely better than the rest of the long and straight balls out there, but not great for feel. You can do much better around the greens. This is the best ball I have played. I've tried the Nooole, Top Flite Soft Feel, and Nike and they are close, and even thru the noodle was first, the SOLO gets it right. I hit it long off the tee without a lot of side spin. Very straight. For a distance ball it has incredible feel. With my Irons the ball has excellent feel. I'm able to spin and stop it all on approach shots 9 - LW. Putts decent with a really good feel. The price is great about 2 dollars more than the noodles. Highly recommended Customer Service NONE Similar Products Used: noodles, TF Soft Feel, Nike, Percept Laddie, Dunlap |

Titleist DT SoLo
This definitely one of the best balls I have played. It is very long off the tee without a lot of side spin, yet still maintains excellent feel. Very straight. For a distance ball it has incredible feel. Irons still have the ability to spin the ball on approach shots. Putts very true and has really good feel. The only other ball that I can say matches up to it is the Titlest Pro V1's. However, for the price I would use the Titleist DT SoLo every day of the week against the ProV1s. On the day I first used the Titleist DT SoLo, I also used the Strata Professional with the Tungsten insert. The Strata is a good ball, however it is not as long off the tee and has much more side spin than the Titleist DT SoLo. Around the greens, both are very comparable as far as chipping and putting. Both putt very true and have excellent feel. The big advantage is that the DT SoLo is just a monster off the tee. Highly recommended. Great golf ball! Longest ball i've hit off the tee, besides the Callaway Hx Reds, which are very pricey. Great for all shots. Rolls very smooth on putts. For 20 dollars this the best ball you can get. I had been playing the Titleist NXT Tours, but these are much better. Similar Products Used: Titlest NXT Tour, ProV1, Professional 100, Etc. Titleist DT SoLo
I have been playing for a year and a half and shoot in the low 90s, with adequate distance, mediocre short game, etc. Was looking for a ball that felt soft, delivered good distance and OK spin around greens and was not too expensive. I have been focusing on the 'soft ball' family (LoCo, Noodle, Laddie, NoodleSpin) recently and decided to try the SoLo. Thus far I have been happy with the distance (seems comparable with that of other low compression balls i have tried, though like the other 'soft' balls i seem to get an occasional shot that flies too far or takes a big, unpredictable hop), happy with feel on irons/driver, but feel that the SoLo has a slightly mushy feel when i putt (but i have a putter with an insert, so perhaps it is the combo of the two producing that feel). Another downside - I might be wrong, but the SoLo seems among the least durable low compression balls. both the noodle and laddie covers seem considerably more durable. i don't want to have to go through a lot of balls due to scuffing (i lose 1 or 2 a round as it is), so i might not stick with the SoLo despite the otherwise OK performance. The distance balls are durable, but not being able to stop them on chips/pitches is a bit frustrating. i tend to play hard/fast greens, and the distance balls don't give me stopping confidence. Like the ProV1 - but not enough to donate a kidney in order to afford them! Similar Products Used: noodle, LoCo, noodle-spin |

One of the best balls for 20 dollars. I play this ball when I dont need the Pro V1. It is close but the Pro V is just exceptional. But if you are not at a skill level or can afford the Pro V this is the closest thing to it. |

This is one great ball. It's long, straight, soft and has good spin on full shots. It's relly sweet off the putter and nice around the green. I highly recommend this ball to any golfer. I played 9 holes yesterday and had 7 pars. Okay I double bogeyed the other two but that was'nt the balls fault. Don't shy away from it if you have a high swing speed either. My ss is 110-112 with my driver. You owe it to yourself to try it!!!! Similar Products Used: PROV,CTU,NIKE,MAXFLI,PRECEPT YOU NAME IT. |

WOW - this ball is a top rate qualifier in five of the six parameters. Distance - a ten, no question. Spin - Drop and stop on hard bermuda greens with all full shots. Feel -soft, smooth with the putter and much softer than Pro VI and VIx. Touch - falls a little short here. It's a bump and run ball from 20 yds.in. Durability - no issues here. As good as anything out there. Value -$20 doz. A good deal. Customer Service Wha? Similar Products Used: Top Flite Tour (poor man's Pro VI), Pro VI, Pro VIx, NXT Tour |

DT Solo
After reading the reviews on this site, I bought a dozen DT Solo's. I am in my early 50's with a declining swing speed, but try make up for that by focusing on my short game and putting. I just finished my 3rd round with the Solo's and could not be more pleased. Prior to the Solo's, I was driving an honest 190-220 and staying in the fairway. The Solo seems to add about 10-15 yards to that and is exceptionally straight. The real benefit to me is from 100 yards and in. These things are wonderfully soft off the wedge, bite well and hold the green nicely. And, best of all they are perhaps the finest putting ball I've come across, period. I can't speak for the guys who claim to be booming them 300+, but if you're in my situation, give them a try. Customer Service Never Used Similar Products Used: DT Distance, HP Eclipse |
