I started this year with the goal of finding "my golf ball." It seems that every time I go into the pro shop there is another ball for sale. This year I tried the Nike Tour Accuracy, and the Titleist Professional and Prestige. The thing that blew me away was the price they wanted for these balls. I was unable to try the Pro V1 because no one had any for sale. I was lucky enough to find one on the course and played the rest of the round with it. I had problems with all the balls. The Nike TA scuffed way to easily. I even embedded a large grain of sand in the cover coming out of a trap. The Pro V1 and other Titleist products perform great but the cover turns yellow after a few rounds and once again the COST! I finally decided to try the Statas after finding them at the pro shop for $14 for a 9 ball pack. After a few rounds I knew I had found my ball. It was long off the tee. Felt great of my Mizuno MP14 irons. The best is the way it checks around the greens and feels off of the putter. I don't impart a lot of spin with my swing but I have even backed up shots with this ball. The other day spun back a bunker shot 25 feet!!! Best ball, but when factoring in the price it's NO CONTEST! I went back to the pro shop and bought 10 more 9 ball packs.

Up till this season I've played Titleist Pro without fail. this past April my father gave me a Strata Tour Pro to try. Played quite well that day. Since then have gone back and forth between Strata and Tour Pro. No interest in V1; its cost is ridiculous. Have finally begun using the Tour Pro permanently (whatever that means). Flies further, cuts less, almost as soft around green, and costs $15 less per box. Not a difficult decision.

This is a great golf ball. Like a lot of other people I purchased the 9 ball trial pack and was very impressed with its overall performance from tee to green. It has great feel and spin off the short irons, and good putting feel. I think it is as durable or more durable than the Revolution. It has quickly become one of my favorite golf balls.

WOW! Very impressive. I never thought this ball does what it does. I have used the ProV1, Nike TA & TW, Max Rev90 and others and never thought that this was right up there with them.

When I used it on my round, it felt awesome from the tee. Trajectory was low and had a piercing ball flight that went straight. Feel from the fairways and rough was very crisp and had very good spin coming into the green. Putts were soft and true. But the most impressive part of the ball is its durability. I kept going back to it on every hole because it was the one that stayed in perfect condition. The only scuff that was on it was a REALLY BAD HIT that I did and it was only a slight scuff. No cuts! Compared to the TA and the TW, this balls probably would last through a nuclear bomb. The TA will shred up during warm up and after the round, you can pretty much throw it away. The TW will not cut and scuff the way the TA will but I'll bet it will only be one more round before it gets the toss. I'll have to say that the ProV and the Maxfli Rev 90 and the TW are all in the same boat. But this ball is all of the high end balls plus a "true" scuff and shear resistant cover that will last!! Guaranteed!! This will be my ball of choice from now on. Besides, It costs 54.95(CAN) for Nike's, 49.95(CAN) for Maxfli's and 64.95(CAN) for ProV1's. These cost 44.95 and is the real deal!

I try a lot of balls and have been playing lately with the Titleist Professional due to the putting and short game strengths it brings -- all the while sacrificing a lot of distance. I found one of these Tour Pros at a course and it played pretty well so I thought I'd try the 9-pack special from Target for $15. In the two rounds I have played with them I have hit the same number of fairways but greatly improved my greens hit in regulation..off my irons these things are like arcing laser beams. Great spin into the green, they also putt almost as well as a Titleist Pro, but are at least 10-15 yards longer off the tee. For the 17th-18th holes of my last round I tried the Titleist Pro V...it seemed to come a little hotter off the driver and definitely had more roll after it landed, but didn't putt like the Tour Pro. I will continue head-to-head testing against the Pro VI, then will try the Strata Tour Ultimate next, and perhaps the Strata Distance...for now the Tour Pro is my #1 ball of choice

Like many of you, I am always searching for the perfect ball. During this search, I happen across a good deal from time to time.

I am happy to tell you that the strata tour professional 90 is a "best buy", (9 ball packs $15). At $5 per sleeve, you will get one of the best combinations of "spin" with your short irons, and "feel" with your putter with no sacrafice in distance. I find them to be quite durable as well.

On my quest for the perfect ball, I have tried almost all the industry has to offer. This ball will hold it's own against the best that any ball manufacturer has offered to date, including strata's own "tour ultimate".

Remember, purchase this ball ONLY IN THE 9 BALL PACKS! I don't believe that you can find a better ball for the buck!

It's not my favorite ball, but I will not hesitate to use them. Believe me, I have used a hell of a lot worse balls that cost more.

Keep them in the short grass.

I have been using Strata's for about 4 years now and there is simply no ball that compares. I have tried the Titleist Professional, Maxfli Revolution, Taylor Made, Callaway, etc... and I keep coming back to the Strata. While I will admit that some other balls may be a few yards longer off the tee, the greens is where this ball shines. No other ball comes close to checking up like this one. As for durability, I don't know what those people who say it is less durable than Titleist Professionals and the like are thinking. One bad shot with those balls and the ball is ruined. The Strata is extremely durable, often lasting 2-3 rounds.

If you're like me, you get dozens of balls at Xmas and other occasions and rarely have to buy any...I give the assorted rocks away to the kids and keep the Titleists. But I finally had to buy some balls myself, so down to the corner golf shop I went. As I reached for a dozen Professionals, the salesman suggested I try the Stratas at 3 sleeves for $15 (vs. $35/doz.). Nice ball, he said. Give 'em a try, and if you don't like 'em I'll give you a $15 store credit, he said. That was OK by me (I buy a lot of stuff at this store, BTW), so off I went.
I played hooky from work the following day so I could play. When I got to the club, my buddy mentioned that he was using the new Nike ball and I told him I was using a Strata, so we both were venturing away from the tried and true Professionals.
We teed it up and I was VERY surprised at the softness and feel of the ball. I was expecting a semi-rock, but that wasn't the case at all. My approaches held the greens and putts felt great.
I didn't notice any variance in distance, really. All in all, I'd say this is a really good ball. I tried a Nike ball for a few holes, and that was a really nice ball too. Hard to tell a huge difference, but it seemed a bit softer off the driver.
I'm anxious to try the new Tour Ultimate ball, and I also want to try the Precept. All in all, I'd say these new solid-core balls are the way to go.

The Strata is the best value/performance ball on the market. Soft feel, good distance, and much cheaper than the Titleist or Maxfli rivals. If money is not an issue, I would recommend Titleist Pro V1 or Professional as they are a bit longer. I would choose the Strata over the Revolution or Prestige for performance.
