STRATA Tour Professional Balls

STRATA Tour Professional Balls

DESCRIPTION

Combining a softer and faster core with a new soft Zynthane II cover, the Strata Tour Professional is longer off the driver and more shear resistant while maintaining it's already widely reputed spin and "workability."

A great golf ball. Great distance off the driver, workable with long to mid irons, soft feel off short irons with excellent spin. I think they perform best on the greens. Roll straight and true. They feel softer to me than Titleist Tour Prestige or Professional, about the same as the Maxfli Revolution, although some people may disagree with that. I buy them used for around $15 a dozen. Each ball last about 2 rounds, they are not as durable as some. I have whole shag bag full of them to practice with. I still think they are worth it because of the consistant preformance they provide. I'm going to try the Strata Ultimate and the Titleist Pro V1 when I can, but I will probably be back. Haven't found a better ball yet for overall performance.

none, although buying used golf balls is a great way to try them for cheap!

Great ball for my level of playing. Flies like a rock, but feels like, er, not a rock! Softer feel than other distace balls I've tried (Top Flite, Maxfli) with a touch more spin on the wedges. Good value for money too.

Hello. I just want to start off by saying that, IMHO, this is one of the better values in golf equipment today! To be able to buy SIX sleeves of professional-calibur balls for $30.00 is a real steal when you consider how expensive golf ingeneral can be. Enough said about that...

I usually play a wound ball, namely the Maxfli Revolution with the occasional sleeve of Titleist Porfessionals thrown in. But since trying a sleeve of these, I have switched. Performance-wise, these balls simply deliver! First off, the driver distance is awesome. I think the ball has less spin coming off my driver than either the Professional or Rev. It also helps with accuracy since sidespin seems to be reduced.

While I will say that the Rev and Professional have much better spin and shot-shaping charecteristics with my irons, the Strata is by no means a slouch in this department. You can do anything you want to this ball in terms of shot type and shape...it just tends to play "straighter" than the other two.

Full swings into the green don't produce as much spin as the Professional, but it matches the Rev and will hold a green just fine. Oddly enough, half and partial swings produce A LOT of spin...much more so than the Titleist or Maxfli. I find that this ball "checks" rather than spins and releases, so it can be much easier to control in tricky chipping and pitching situations.

The Strata is a soft feeling ball all around but not quite as soft as the Rev and not nerely as soft as the Professional when it comes to putter feel. And, although I'd never really complaind about a Rev or Rpofessional being out-of-wound, the Strata shouldn't have that problem due to it's solid core construction.

Is this ball better than the vaunted Professional or the impressive Revolution? I can't tell for sure. But I do know that it is a better value and performs nearly/equally as well. An because of that, I think it's the best ball for the money.

I love this ball!. At first I was not willing to give up my "distance" balls but these things are just as long or longer. The feel is fantastic around the green. For such a soft feeling ball the cover seems very durable. I have been playing the same ball for the last two rounds, not even a mark on it. Kmart has these on sale for $13.99 for 3 sleeves. It's the best ball for the money, period. Buy em while there still cheap!

Long and straight, decribes these balls, gets good spin, durable, distance, ball seems a little harder then the titleist pro. and still does about the same preformace. good ball for the price i got them at 7.25 compared to the 12.50 per sleeve of titleist pro.

I like the feel of this ball off the putter and shots around the green. Feel and spin rate very high on my list when it comes to selecting the ball I play with. This ball ranks right at the top.

This Ball does exactley what Hal Sutton says on the commercials, it putts true, longer off the tee and very accurate with the irons. This is the best ball, in my opinion, that Top Flite has ever made. It gives a superb feel and looks great. Thats why I'm sending 5 reviews between May 17 and June 17 to get a free sleeve of these babies!

Switched to the Strata Tour from hard 2-piece distance balls about a year ago. This ball provided good distance and very good spin. I can now carry my approach shots to the pin and not worry about holding the green.

Bought this bay due to a sale, pay for 6 get 9 balls. What a great ball, it is very soft off the club but accurate. I have improved my game with the new ball and new set of Ping I3. The ball sounds great off the face with a nice click, but when it hits the greens either spins or checks up. The only problem is the cover is not real durable. Its a great ball and worth the money
