I've been playing this ball for a whole year now and know it pretty well. One ball is only good for about 18 holes, then its ready for the shag bag, or water holes. If they could improve the cover, they would have a really good ball. Distance for this ball is average, spin is above average, putting is top notch. Again my only complaint is the cover, but then again maybe that is what makes it such a good ball, I'm looking forward to the new improved strata ML Balata. Similar Products Used: everything |

This is a great ball... It has similar distance to the Titleist HP2 Distance ball I have tied , but has much more spin. These balls will hold most greens I have found. Great all around ball!! Similar Products Used: Titleist HP2 Distance, Top Filte XL's |

Can't say enough good about this ball. It's a ball that I've found to generate a lot of confidence in. Spins good for longer shots - spin seems best with clubs and turf that can generate it. It will slice or hook if you have a problem with your driver swing but otherwise, it works as advertised. Nice ball to putt with - real true. Can scuff the cover with hard wedge shots but that's about the only surface problem. This ball works - doesn't need windings or multiple covers and this keeps the price competitive. Personally I dont need a ball that spins this much and flys this far.For me its a bad combination.I've never had one long enough to see how durable the cover is. Think I'll stick with Titleist tour balatas. Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Titleist balatas, professional, presteige |

After trying many different balls (the ones I was using no longer fit my game), I saw a promo pack of the ML Balata in the golf store and figured what the heck. Fantastic. Good distance (not much shorter than other distance balls on the market) and great feel. Resonably durable as well. Found them for $29/dozen at my local golf shop. I currently hover between the high 70's and the mid 80's and this ball is perfectly suited to someone at my level or better. Distance for me is good off of the driver and average off of my irons. But where this ball has saved me strokes is it's extraordinary feel. Soft but not like a marshmallow. This ball is the perfect ball for feel players who need up and downs to score well. It is unrivaled in feel when putting for me. Durability has been well above average for such a soft ball, just keep it off the cart paths and it lasts for a round or two. A great all around ball. Last year I test drove an Oldsmobile which allowed me to recieve a dozen of these balls for free.Since it was near the Ryder Cup and these were the balls used they had the Ryder Cup logo on them.I used a sleeve the others I kept for mementos.I like these balls.First let me state they are not distance balls. When I recieved them that was the type of balls I was playing. You hit them you can tell the difference in distance and feel. The feeling is wonderfully soft even off your driver. They feel great off your irons especially when you chip. They will bite and hold any green. When these balls get on the green that is where they truly shine. They putt true and straight.Since they are balatas durability is poor.Only after a few hits they looked scuffed and the Ryder Cup logo was fading fast. These balls showed me there was a tremendous difference from a distance ball compared to a soft ball.I have not bought any so I do not know the price.A player with a consistent swing or who wants a truly soft ball would love these.A high handicap player would not like them because after a short while it is time for a new ball. Had tired of the Titleists and all the distance balls out there, so this spring decided to find a new brand. Tried Inner Gel, Strata Tour and these. Similar Products Used: Strata Tour, Titleist Professional, Taylor Made Inner Gel, Callaway |
