Spin and feel are good. The distance is awful. These balls are not durable either. Spend your money elsewhere.

Don't understand how people here compared this ball with others "real" balata balls. OK, I got a great deal on ebay, OK,driving is very good and strait with it, but the feel from any club between driver andputter is near the top-flite excep-spin. I mean just a bit softer than Rock-flites,but way harder than any balata balls I played before. If you want to play a very soft feel ball(compared to the ML balata) that gives you distance too, try the Maxfli Revolution, it just broke my love story with Titleist Professional balls... This ball keeps her promises and performs very well in all types of shots (not a compromise ball) and it last longer than Titleist pro.

So, for the ML balata:

Distance= 4 stars
Control= 4 stars
spin= 3 stars
feel= 2 stars

I hit long, but am inacurate 60% of the time. I have tried many different balls including Max Fli, Titleist Pro V, Top Flight XL 2000, Srixon Hybrid, and others. This ball was straight each and every T-box. My first drive was 313 down the middle, I was amazed. I usually hit 280-300, but never know where I will land. I love the soft feel and am suprised at the carry. I hear these are to be discontinued, so get all you can when you find them.

An AWESOME ball for the money At $15 for a 3 sleeve pack. Every bit as good as the other premium balls, at a price that is affordable for most everyone (even at $30 a dozen).

I play both this ball and the Strata Tour Pro. This is a very soft feeling ball without sacrificing noticable distance. Not quite as soft as the Tour Pro, but spins just as much or more. Very easy to hold the green with this ball.

As one reviewer said, the green is where this ball excels. It feels VERY good off the putter and rolls VERY true.

Overall, as good as or better than any ball on the market at $10 to $20 less. Common sense says try it. Most will stay with it. I've played it solely for over a year, but have recently started playing the Tour Pro a little more.

For the reviewer that said they are discontinuing this ball, the are replacing it with the new Professional Balata.

Customer Service

Signed up to be a product tester, and they had my balls and survey to me promptly.

This is a great balata ball. I played titleiest 90's and these this weekend and couldn't tell the difference. So why buy Strata.....they're alot cheaper. Additionally, the Strata seems more durable, I get those small cracks right away with the titleist balatas.

Took these out last April in cool 50 some degree conditions and I loved this ball. Very controllable with excellent distance, great soft feel. Was excited because of distance gain. Then went to Florida and mid-80's weather, and lost at least a club in distance. This continued thru the summer to the point I stopped playing it. Same distance problem with Strata, which I also wanted to love all year.

One of the best balls ever made. I wish that Spalding did'nt stop making them. They provide good distance off the tee, good short game control, and putts very well. I am a frequent slicer, and these balls helped in controlling my slices.
Good balls for golfers at any level, and at a great value too. Go to Wal-Mart or Target stores and stock up on these balls before they fade away for good.

These balls are good, I got 9 in a promo pack.
The only complaint is that they aren't very durable, If you use Hawkeye's like myself the titanium cuts the cover to bits although you do get great spin.
The Titleist pro is way more durable but cost's alot more.
Good ball if you can pick them up cheap, Try the XL2000 spin, Almost as good and half the price.

Soft, spins like crazy, excellent ball near and on the green. Unfortunately they I lost about 10-15 yards on my mid-irons compared to other Balata balls (although colder weather contributed) Also, not very durable. There will be a least one big scratch after two holes of use. A good ball, but personally I like Wilson Smart-Core Balatas better.
