Ball has a nice solid feel to it off the tee. Spins pretty well on approach shots. Has a nice feel off the putter. Best of all it's very durable and doesn't shred easily, if at all. One of the better premium balls in my opinion and something I don't mind paying full price for. Similar Products Used: Pro V1, Hogan Apex and all the cheapie ones. |

Tried a sleeve of these balls the other day and I must say I am quite impressed. I usually don't buy premium balls but needed a sleeve so I figured why not. These balls are crazy long with a great stable flight. I had no problem stopping them on chip shots or short pitches. I usually play the revolution ext but they did not have any. I hit my longest drive ever with this ball (325 yards). Granted the wind was helping but who cares. I normally hit the Driver about 250-260 tops. I didn't realize how good it was until we got to my ball and saw I was at least 40 yards past everbody. Wow that feels great. If you don't mind the price try this ball!!!! Far. This ball goes far, period. I had been hitting the ProV1 since the A10 went out (which I still think is the best ball out there). Well anyway, the ProV was spinning too much for me, that is to say I was hitting drivers which rolled about one yard. And for me the ProV1x spins too little and feels a little too firm on chips, pitches, and putts. The HX tour on the other hand is a remarkable golf ball, I can hardly get my head around the softness of its feel (again not close to the A10, but nothing is) while maintaining the remarkable distance it goes. I hit a driver from the 18th tee at Smithtown Landing, a 360yd par 4, which came to rest about 30yds from the green. Now first off ,anyone who has played the hole knows that it is a severe downhill dog-leg left with trees blocking the fairway too the left, and for one who only averaged about 230yds w/ his driver (before trying the HX tour) it is extremely difficult to stretch the carry over those trees. For a low-spin ball to offer me such a high, sustained carry that is so true in the wind off of the driver and rather live iron play, it seems too good to be true. But it is! the only complaint I have is that short game spin is lack-luster. Of course, again I am used to a very high-spin ball. One should familiarize themselves with significantly higher short-game ball flights, but once I get my short game thought process adjusted to this ball it should be the best one I've ever played! I am very excited to be playing this ball, off of my irons this ball spins much more than I expected. with a lively feeling off of the face, and a confidence inspiring, 'whrrr' sound as it flys away. The ball really dances off of short irons and middle irons as well. I also noticed a beautiful ease with which I can work draws and fades on this ball, simply firing off draws with a low, boring flight, or melting a 3iron into the ball for a smooth fade around the corner of a short par4. Even for me, a good player with a really short game and good ball-striking who stays in the 70's with a wizzardly wedge game and accurate short and mid-irons this ball spins enough. So dont be afraid of that "low-spin" label. Simply put: try it, you wont be dissappointed! Straight, Penetrating Ball Flight. As long or longer than the Prov1x. Callaway advertises a "patented HEX Aerodynamic pattern optimized for stronger ball flight, greater potential distance." Try a sleeve of these yourself and you won't be disappointed. The dimple pattern on these balls is more efficient than the ProV1x, thus higher shots and more penetrating ball flight! this is an OK ball. Annika uses is so that makes it worse. It has decent length and accuracy. It has a nice firm feel. It isnt as long as the pro v1x which is my hands down favorite. The HX tour also has horible durability. I used the ball for 18 holes and there were alot of scuffs and some of the paint was chipping off. This is my new favourite premium ball. Fantastic feel with the short irons, great spin characteristics, long off the tee, straight. Reasonably durable, had a round 1 week ago, ball still good enough to keep playing with. Very nice feel putting - the main problem with premium balls is while they are great to hit, personally I find them a little hard to gauge the feel of when putting. This is perfect. Almost like a cross between the Srixon URX and Titleist Pro VIx - with the best from both combined. A great bonus is that it's cheaper than a ProVIx. It is now my firm favourite as a premium ball...for not so serious rounds though, I still prefer the new Srixon AD333 - try these babies if you're looking for a fantastic all-round ball that doesn't break the bank-balance! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: What can I say - I'm an equipment junkie. Srixon URX, XXIO, Soft feel, AD333 (top ball). Titleist ProVI and VIx, NXT, etc..
