Tries these after the reviews - always played precept U-Tri. These balls are just what the manufacturer claims - long with plenty of spin on the short irons. They are perhaps not as durable as the U-tri extra distance but have far more spin. A shame they are not available in the UK - I have to order from the US. All in all excellent!!

I think this is the best ball on the market for two reasons: 1. It is a $2 ball, and 2. It goes and feels like a $4 ball. Unless you are a pro and get free balls, or you don't mind paying double for golf balls you should try this ball. I suppose some golfers can really tell you about golf balls, how they are made, what factory, the names of the workers, how many dimples, etc., but if you just play golf and you have a reasonably competent game, this ball won't disappoint you in any department, length, feel and durability, and of course as I have already stated, financially. I've been playing golf for 40 years and I have hit them all. If a ball is really good, I won't care what it costs, but if I can't tell the difference in any part of the game, then cost matters. I guess the longest ball I can remember is the old Ultra, and the best feeling balls were the old Titlest Balata 100 compression Blacks. This ball is like a combination of both of those. If I find a Pro V or Tour Deep I play them, its like finding a five dollar bill. But when you bump one of these in the lake or hit a career drive you don't question your intelligence or your swing for dropping just $2.

I'm writing this review primarily for the manufacturer. I have used balls in the past that I liked and that suited my game only to see them discontinued or substantially re-engineered and not useable any longer. I would like to continue to buy these and so I am encouraging the manufacturer to keep making them and for players to use this greatly under appreciated ball.

I've played all kinds and brands of different balls (2 piece, 3 piece, premium, distance, cheap, expensive...you get the idea). This ball encompasses the best of all these different worlds. In a nutshell, this ball plays with the distance of a Top-Flite and the feel of a Pro-V1. The ball is explosive off the clubface, but unlike other distance balls, the urethane cover on this ball has an incredible feel to it and allows you to play any shot in the bag. Upon landing on the green, the ball does not stray from the ballmark, and in fact backs up on short irons an wedges. It resists the wind well and is not overly penal on mis-hits. Putts true and rolls online. Durability was surprisingly very good for a urethane cover; I finished a 9 hole round with the same ball I started with and can use it again tomorrow. At $25/dozen, this ball is a tremendous deal, especially given the price of other urethane cover balls out there. Highly recommended.
