I totally disagree with the latest poster on durability. I played the ball for 13 holes and it looked just like like my usual ProV would, and I have a steep swing that would produce scuffs if the ball were susceptible to it. I actually find it's Maxfli and Callaway that scuff quickly. By the way, the Apex Tour was significantly harder than this ball. Customer Service n/a |

These balls where a serious let down. After my first hole where I hit a little punch wedge the ball had a masive scuff mark. By the end of the nine it looked like it had done 12 rounds with ALI.

I've played the tour deep on and off for the last couple years and have finally come to the conclusion that this is the superior ball to the other two high end balls I was playing-prov1x and nike one platinum. The distance is similar although the nike probably had a slight edge, however the hogan defintley spins more than either. It is also the softest feeling and remarkably, is extremely durable. I've actually played 36 holes in one day with the same hogan (the logos were wearing off-but almost no scuffing or cutting) and had a hard time getting through nine w/either the prov1x or nike.

I really enjoy this ball. It is fine for my needs. I like feeling like I am a player and this ball is soft on putts or chips. It holds greens and flies long off of the driver. Amazingly enough the thing I like best about this ball is that I rarely, almost never, have to worry about someone else using the same ball. I can just go look, and if it is a Hogan it is mine. If you are using Titleist, either you or others can be confused and hit the wrong ball. The last thing is the durability. This ball lasts much better than the Callaway HX balls I was using before. |

This is a great golf ball. It's long off the tee, feels soft off the irons, spins well and holds the greens, and unlike the Maxfli Black Max and Titleist Pro V1, the cover is durable. Keep it off the trees and cart paths and one ball makes it 18 holes easy. The ball feels great off the putter as well. I can't think of one negative; it's simply the best ball I've ever played. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Similar Products Used: Maxfli Revolution, Maxfli Black Max, Titleist NXT Tour, Titleist Pro V1 |

I know all about ProV1's - been playing them exclusively since they came out. But I won't pay for balls, and Tour Deep's are rare. So I find one, and hit what I feel is my longest drive ever (98 mph swing), though this is subjective because it's an unfamiliar course. Few weeks later I find another, and hit it off the first tee at my regular club. For the first time ever, I'm sitting at the 125 mark on a 400 yard hole, on a wet winter morning no less. Since the feel seems about the same as the ProV1, I think from a non-pro's perspective this has to be considered the superior ball. |

The ball lives up to its billing. It flies long. It is soft. It is durable. I was using the Callaway blacks and they would get chewed up quite quickly. I am very happy with this ball. Perhaps the best part for me is that no one else uses Hoagans. So when you are playing it is easy to see which ball is yours. You won't have anyone else hitting your ball and saying, "I thought that was my Pro V." |

The best ball overall for my game. I'm not trying to say it's the best out there. One man's Pro-V1 nirvana is another man's Tour Deep. But for my game, this one's a perfect match. LONG off the driver with a soft feel off irons and wedges. Reasonable spin, putts well and extremely durable. Really, there's not a weakness that I could possibly imagine. If you like balls of the Pro-V1, Callaway HX Tour & 56 variety, give a sleeve of the Tour Deeps a go. Very impressive ball. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Pro-V1 star, HX Tour. |

This is a follow up to a previous review. Everything about this ball is positive. I have been using the U-tri Tour for a long time. When I played the Tour Deep, I felt it was a superior ball and worthy of a review. It spun consistently well. The distance off the driver and direction is the same for me--no magic 20 yds sorry--but it feels softer. It really shines in the mid-irons. Very nice mid-level flight, strong hold in the wind. Wedge play was very similar, Hogans a touch more spin and softer feel. A beautiful ball. I was hesistant to switch at the time because the Hogan's were $42 a dozen. EdWatts has these now for $30, same as the U-Tri. My switch is complete now. Priced the same it is a no brainer for this ball. They have (Hogan) been purchased by Callaway and you may see the Hogan ball(s) disappear, but for the time being do yourself a favor: try out the best value in golf today. This ball is the second best on the market. The Pro V1 is superior, but for the price, the Ben Hogan Tour Deep has the best value. The six deep dimples make the ball very stable in the air and easy to work. You will notice that Callaway Golf has a HX Tour 56, and that these two balls are exactly the same. When Callaway bought the rights to Spalding, they decided to make all the Ben Hogan technology their own. Great ball though. Similar Products Used: all |
