Excellent ball and I would rate as good as the Pro V1 for distance and ball flight and would rate better for touch around the green. Only complaint is the ball does not last as long as the Pro V1 in a round. Overall, good to see such quality still around after a such a long time on the market

I was looking for a ball similar to the Pro V1. I was tired of playing the used, inconsistend Pro v's as my game is now in the low 80's - but certainly did not want to spend $50/dozen for Pro V's. What a great ball for the price! Consistent ball flight, just a little less check on the greens.
I picked these up at Dicks for under $18 a dozen - which sounds like a bargain compared to online prices.

Started playing last summer after an 8 year virtual layoff. Started back up with the updated version of my trusty Titleist, in this case the Pro V1. The layoff turned my pretty fluid swing and an 8 hcp into something less fluid and a 17. Got some lessons and launched on a quest to repair the hcp. Got a dozen Tour Deeps at a bargain price late last summer. I've never looked back. This ball is great in all phases of my game. The 17 is down to a 10 and the confidence I have in this ball is part of it. Give it a try.

Since finding my original introduction to this ball,I have played HTD steadily, and I still believe it is the best overall ball for a low handicapper.
I have switched irons and driver but the ball remains the same.

I ordered 6 dozen of these in a weak moment. I need to say that I am a titleist man and my standard is the Pro V1, especially in regard to my short game, which is my strength. I absolutely love these Tour Deeps. I am getting great distance (usually using my 3 wood to tee off--220yds running distance is not unusual). Durability is exceptional. I have a steeper swing arc than many, and this can play havoc on ball covers, yet I have not damaged a Tour Deep in 2 rounds of golf. I've played the same one and will keep playing it. I don't believe the Tour Deep has as much spin or "bite" on the greens with my wedges as the Pro V1, but if good golf is measured by the score, and not just a few brilliant shots, I played my best score ever last week with this ball. 80% in the fairways (probably due to a very consistent swing and using 3wood), 75% Greens in Regulation. Why mention this? Because this ball has a flight that is very consistent and predictable. Like I said I love the Pro V1. I will be using the Ben Hogan Tour Deep for a long time. BTW, it's sure nice to KNOW that it's your ball when in doubt--nobody plays Ben Hogan balls in my club that I've seen!

This is a great ball. I have rarely written reviews but I wanted others to know that there is a fantastic option out there to other premium balls. Controlled and predictable ball flight. Soft feeling off the driver and irons. Love the consistent flight path and consistency among irons. Only downside was that some scuffing took place. It seemed these balls were good for one round and no more. Do yourself a favor, try a sleeve, and then write Callaway and tell them to keep making these pearls.

I recently played in a 100 hole marathon and have been looking forward to testing these out compared to my other two favorite balls over the last few years, the Nike Powersoft, and Pro V1.
The comparison, with the 6 deep dimples, to the 56 is immediate. The ball plays quite a lot softer than 56 (In My Opinion), but isn't quite as long as the others I like, and the stopping power isn't quite there (acts similar to the Powersoft around the green, actually). There is a bit more of "click" off the putter and other clubs, compared to the other 2 -- which I don't like, but again, that's a matter of personal taste. That the Tour Deep doesn't fly quite as far is also found true through the testing results at golftestusa.com; Like the 56, it has a very stable flight pattern, which brings one confidence.
I really wanted this ball to be "my new ball"; I'm not a "bandwagon guy", so I don't like Titleist per se, or the absolutely ridiculous cost of the V1's and am trying to find a softer feeling and sounding ball that is a touch less spinner off the tee (than the V1), but still has some semblance of touch and feel around the green. I really wanted the Tour Deep to be it!!! It isn't. It's a good all around ball, to be sure. But all round good isn't good enough. For 2X the price, it doesn't perform as well overall for me as the Powersoft; and from 150 yards in, nothing out there comes close to the performance of the V1!
My search continues........

I play quality balls. To shell out top dollar for a high end course and play cheap or second hand balls,is a waste of money.Where's the sense in that?
I have been looking for a good replacement for my original Revolution's when my cache dried up.
I tplayed the Pro V's till my Christmas stocking supply ran out.Not my ball after all.
Found a Hogan Tour Deep, gave it a try on the next hole and was flabbergasted!
I haven't felt this way about a ball since the Revolution. It climbs, levels out and keeps going.Beautiful off the irons and with the wedges it's criminal how it spins and sticks. It's silky off the putter.
In my case it carries longer off the driver and is more controllable with the irons than the proV.
Whoever lost that ball, I owe him, since there is little hype about this terrific ball.
